So, why the bodyguards?
The government has taken a sudden interest in their well being. Has the trio really been placed under the protection of the FARM or next on its hit list? Were the plain-clothed shifters sent to watch to their backs or put a bullet in them? As Tom’s secrets are stripped bare, all are confronted with the consequences of past decisions.
Can their love and friendship survive a clandestine government agency’s hidden agenda and a pact with the devil?

DON'T BLAME THE GROUNDHOG

Are you as sick of this winter weather as I am? The entire country seems to be getting blasted time and again with ice, snow and arctic like temperatures.
Having a snow day may be fun if you're a kid but not so much for adults, well, this adult. I have tons of stuff that needs doing outdoors. None of which can be done because either the ground is covered in snow and ice or has turned to mush from a brief thaw. (My horse stalls are horrid!)
My guy lives in the city and can't get here. I live in the country where salting roads isn't I high priority. This would have been excellent snuggling weather but 15 miles of slick roads separate us.
So, what to do?
Since it appears I will have plenty to do outside once the weather gets better I have decided to address the inside of my home. Why not start spring cleaning? Yesterday, besides my usual Saturday chores I cleaned closets. Now I can find things again! I scrubbed both bath and kitchen from top to bottom. Try that with 8 cold dogs underfoot. I dare you!
So what's my point? Life is what you make it. You can whine about how unfair it is. I always do. Or you can turn it around and make it work for you.
Be safe. Be warm. Be productive. I hope if you're snowed it, you're with the one you love!

The only thing constant...

Is that a bad thing?
Since the first of the year, (yep a whole 24 days ago!) I have faced many changes. Some for the better, some not so much...at least according to moi. I came to grips with a "relationship," I use that term loosely, I had struggled to hang onto for 3 years. I finally realized that no matter how badly I wanted it, I couldn't make it happen and to be honest I was tired of playing the fool.
I'm sure it will be good fodder for a book someday. (There's always a bright side if you look hard enough.)
I've realized that as a single woman, in this economy, I have to cut more corners and make some sacrifices I would rather not. Life goes on.
On the upside I have taken steps to secure my future and my happiness. I have accepted a new position which will increase my income and allow me to meet more people. It's up to me to be happy and do what needs doing!
I've dusted off a manuscript started a while back. I now have a beginning and an ending ...just have to fill in that pesky middle and of course... find it a home! While awaiting edits on Naked Secrets,I've contracted Haven for a July release also with Steam E-reads.
Life is at best a teeter -totter, sometimes you're up high in the air and sometimes your butt hits the ground HARD! Make the most of those highs!

It's Complicated

I used to wonder why...
As a working single gal who also tries to find time to write, I admit to joining the occasional dating site. My stays on these sites have been short and for the most part, unproductive. Why? It's Complicated.
It seems most men find me "intimidating!" Those who know me would call me anything but, as a matter of fact I tend to be shy. After hearing this many times from different males, I summoned the courage to ask WHAT exactly was intimidating. Most chose not to answer and slipped back into the ether never to be heard from again but a few brave souls said it was my writing!
I was flabbergasted!!! Even more so when I found most of them had never read my books. Is it the fact I write?...
Is it the romance?... Are they worried they might not live up to my idea of romance? Who the hell knows? They sure aren't saying!
Well...except one. He said "you're smarter than I thought you'd be."
Really. No kidding!
Is this the reason my friends relationships are COMPLICATED? If I had one, I'd let you know. LOL
May your relationships be easy!

Updates

I'm working on a story about internet dating, tentatively titled, Adventures in Internet Dating (Love is Murder)
Does that sound like something you might want to read?
This morning I got sidetracked yet again looking a photos of gorgeous men. It's hard work but something a writer must endure in order to find the perfect inspiration for her hero and supporting cast.

Ringing in the New Year

I know I have two books coming out this year! Midnight Sun, Inc. met with such great reviews even though my sales have not reflected that. 2014 will bring you books 2 and 3 of that series, albeit from a different publisher, Steam E-reads.
Naked Secrets will release in March followed by Haven in July! I'm very excited about these books and the series as a whole. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did writing them.
By the way, I have a new Face Bookfan page. Please come join me with your opinions, reviews and questions at:

Change is the one thing we can be sure the new year will bring us all. May all our changes be for the better and take us one step closer to our goals and dreams, whatever they may be.
Have a happy and prosperous New Year!

Tis the Season
Well, it's that time of year again. You know the one, where people stuff their faces and then go push and shove to buy things they can't afford for their loved ones. Yep, the holidays are upon us again...DAMN!
Don't get me wrong, I love the spirit of the season. I decorated for Christmas a couple of weeks ago. It helps remind me of the true meaning of the holiday. I strive for "peace on year and good will toward my fellow man." To that end I stay away from the crowded malls. LOL
However, as a single gal, this is a difficult time for me as well. The gray gloomy days and nights remind me that I am indeed alone. That's probably way the plethora of internet dating sites say there are more hook-ups this time of year...and break-ups as well. Confused? Well lots of folks don't want to be alone but at the same time there are many who don't want the burden of gift giving...hence the break-ups. (Yeah, I know. Terrible either way.)
What I find most difficult this time of year is writing. I can't seem to break through the fog. Do other writers have this problem or is it only me? I wonder...
Whatever your reason for the season, be happy and merry. Count your blessings and not your losses and don't let the Ba! Humbugs bite you in the butt!

GREAT NEWS!
Well, it's great news for fans of my Legacy Series (urban fantasy). Those of you who raved about Connie, Tom, Raf and Willy and wanted more. Those who said Midnight Sun, Inc. should be made into a movie ( from your lips to a producer's ear!). You are about to get part of your wish. No, not the movie part...not yet anyway. Ready?
Part two of my series, Naked Secrets, will release in March of 2014 , followed in June or July by book three, Haven. Both will be brought to you by http://steamereads.com.au
Who knows? Maybe the movie deal will be next. Stay tuned! Joss Whedon, are you paying attention?

It's About That Time
I don't know about you folks, but I am one of those people who likes (loves) to decorate for Christmas. The only problem is, I have SO much stuff I need a running start. Halloween is my usual jumping off point so I'm running a little behind already. DRAT!
We got an unexpected boon at work, Veteran's Day off! I plan to use my extended weekend to make a start on my decorating. Will I finish? Probably not. I what I will succeed in doing is scaring my dogs to death, making a mess of the garage and house and most importantly, get into the spirit of the season. This year I have a fireplace mantle on which to display my nativity.
I don't care for the bustle of the malls or Black Friday sales.
What puts you in the spirit?
