Six Sentence Sunday
This week's sentences come from a little free read I did awhile back titled, Spring Fest.
Derek's thumb traced delicious circle over the back of her hand as they strolled and Julia felt warm and giddy and wonderful. How many times had she dreamed of this very scenario? She glanced at his profile, unbelievably striking in the soft light of dusk, and then quickly away. She only hoped that it turned out the way it did in her fantasies.
But maybe that was awful. Maybe she was being too easy, too… whatever words the small town gossips would use to describe her. She glanced over at him again and decided she didn't care.
Yes, it's seven sentences. I thought that since we got an hour this week, I'd give you an extra sentence to celebrate.
If you'd like to read the entire story, you can right here: SPRING FEST

For those of you who have read my guest blogs before, you know I dance on the outer edge of typical romance. Unlike the wine, roses & studly men of our friend Lisa Fox — not that I mind ANY of those things — my tastes run a tad tarter (if you will swallow the alliteration). Sometimes circumstances just fall upon me & I can't ignore an opportunity. Consider what happened the other night…
Let me start by saying my significant other is ten years younger than me, and willing in all aspects to please me. He has stamina, tenderness & all the components of a selfless lover. Yes, I got lucky. But even the most diligent of partners slip up some times. This is not punishable by banishment, but it is punishable nonetheless.
He blew out my dining room candles.
Allow me to illustrate. Candles create a warm snuggly feeling in my sometimes hardened heart, and I light them every night. Something about a passive flame in stained glass votive holders, the tealights cradled in beveled crystal, creates an ambience I enjoy. Going room to room and seeing the random little glows bestows upon me an inner smile, so imagine my smile fading when I find my dining room lit only by the streetlamp outside.
"You blew out my candles," I said to my precious boy.
He gives me a look. An uh-oh look.
"Did I ask you to do such a thing?" I was gearing up for a little spur of the moment play session, and he could tell so by my voice. Dipping his blue eyes to hide behind his docile lashes, he admitted I hadn't. He knew his presumptive action had brought him some impending discipline.
"Bedroom," I said, and turned on my heel. I had just the toy in mind. Where my scene would lead me I did not know–I'm big on improvisation. From the depths of my trousseau I drew one of my favorite paddles, an oblong leather creation reinforced by a metal bar inside, and joined my beloved in the bedroom.
Taking a little time to explain his wrongdoing as he took off his clothes, I ran my fingers along the seam of the paddle. What happened next was a flurry of firm application. The paddle to his ass never ceases to delight me, and the whacks I administered left welts behind that I could be proud of.
"Livingroom," I ordered, slightly breathless. I explained that he was going to perform services as my coffeetable to round out the evening. With obedience, he knelt with his ass and back at just the right angle to accommodate my legs. I crossed them at the knees and sat comfortably to watch an episode of Dexter on TV.
Then he committed another boo-boo. He fell asleep.
It was rather late and he had been put through the paces in the bedroom, but this was no excuse. Once his deep and steady breathing told me he was in slumber, I planted the ball of my foot into his hip and shoved him over. Oh, was he bored? Did junior not get enough rest the prior evening? Shame. "Now you aren't even adept enough to perform coffeetable tasks," I informed him. "Now you shall be my carpet."
I wedged my feet against his side as he gazed at me with sorry eyes. His regret didn't even deserve a slap across the face. Kneading my bare feet into his slim torso and belly, I proceeded to watch Dexter until a certain maleness began getting in the way of my rubbing. There was to be no reward tonight. No, he sucked on my toes, massaged and worshipped my insteps as I greatly enjoy, but there was to be no release for him tonight.
For it isn't the candles, dear Reader. It's the fun of it all.

Moonlight and Merlot
The continuing saga of the lives, loves and heartbreaks of the residents of Dion Valley, CA.
As with all the best things in life, this is for adults only.
*****
Nick leaned against the side of Lela's ancient Cadillac and crossed his legs at the ankles while he waited for her to return. She'd run back upstairs to his apartment to retrieve her scarf even though he had tried his best to convince her to leave it. He liked the thought of having something of hers in his apartment.
He squinted as the morning sunlight reflected off a fast approaching car and then frowned when he recognized it as Zach's roadster. There was no reason Nick could think of for Zack to be out this way, so far from his family's estate. Especially since Phoebe lived clear on the other side of the Valley and Zach wasn't really the slumming it type.
The car stopped a few feet away from him and Nick raised an eyebrow as he watched Zach storm out of the car with madly grinning Phoebe at his heels. He knew by her smile that whatever was about to go down was her doing, her vengeance for not indulging her whims last night. He only hoped he didn't have to hurt the poor misguided bastard. He had nothing against Zack personally.
"Hello Zack," he said, pushing himself off the car, his hands at his sides, loose and ready.
"Nick," Zach replied, cautious, but also angry. "Did you have a good time last night?"
Images of being with Lela flashed through his mind and Nick smiled. "Yes."
With an inarticulate growl, Zach lunged and Nick quickly sidestepped.
"What the fuck –?" Nick began, but Zack attacked again, and Nick had to work very hard at evading him. Seeing that speaking rationally with Zach was going to be impossible, Nick turned to Phoebe. "Will you make him stop?"
"No, I don't think so," she said, her smug smile making Nick's insides boil. "Bad things happened last night, Nick. You were there."
"What are you talking about?" he asked, confused enough to stop moving for an instant.
Zach tried to take advantage of the distraction, but Nick was done with this little dance. He shoved Zach aside and strode toward Phoebe. "What are you talking about?" he asked again, emphasizing each word with a hard step forward.
"I don't know," she whined as she stepped back.
"You don't know?" he asked, still advancing. "What do you mean, you don't know?"
"I woke up," she stammered, "and there was light and pain and nothing and… you! YOU! You, you, you! And I know you did something cause I wouldn't just wake up like that and not remember and it had –"
She stopped suddenly, her eyes locked on something over Nick's shoulder. He spun on his heel and saw Lela standing outside the building.
Lela looked from Nick to Phoebe to Zack and then finally back to Nick. "What the hell is going on?"
There must have been something in the look they shared, maybe something in Lela's eyes or on Nick's face because Phoebe suddenly exploded, red-faced and irate.
"Did you fuck her?" Phoebe demanded, her voice rising with each progressive word. "You fucked her! God damn you, Nick!" She stomped toward him, the anger taking over any fear or trepidation she may have felt and pounded her fist on his chest. "I can't believe you'd fuck her and you won't fuck me!"
She must have realized her mistake as soon as the words left her mouth because her fist paused in mid-strike. She looked up at him, her mouth gaping and then over at Zach. In fact, they all looked at Zach and Nick couldn't help but feel a little sorry him.
"Baby, I –" Phoebe began, but Zach cut her off by merely raising his hand.
Zach looked at each of them, nodded his head once and then turned to walk away.
[Until next Tuesday…]

Six Sentence Sunday – A #SixSunday Halloween Treat
I love Halloween. It gives me an excuse to fantasize about sexy, mysterious, sensuous vampires.
And so my present to you are these six lovely sentences I made up purely for today's celebration. I hope you enjoy them!
In the shadows, hidden, secret, far from the light, he takes her into his arms. He cradles her head in his hand, exposing the long white column of her neck and ever so gently her caresses her cheek.
"Are you certain?" he asks, but she is beyond words, mesmerized by his nearness, his beauty, the smoldering desire in his black eyes and all she can mange to do is nod in reply.
His smile is wicked, sensual, hungry, and when he dips his head to nuzzle the hollow of her throat, his soft lips graze her sensitive skin and she gasps, trembling in his arms.
"My love," he murmurs, "my dark angel." He sinks his fangs into her willing flesh and she moans from the sheer ecstasy of his fatal kiss as he draws her into the darkness, claiming her for his own.
Thank you all for stopping by! I am actually in New York right now hopefully not under arrest for trying to kidnap/molest David Duchovny. Please forgive me for not RT-ing or commenting today. I'll be sure to check out everyone's sentences as soon as I return home and/or make bail.
Be sure to drop by the OFFICIAL SITE for all this week's sexy, scandalous, sumptuous and horrifying Halloween sentences!

Off to New York
I'm off to go see David Duchovny in Break of Noon. Excited doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. I have loved him for YEARS. And now they are seriously letting me within grabbing distance of him. I don't know if that is good or very, very dangerous.
I won't be around at all this weekend, so please forgive me for not RTing or responding. I'll be sure to catch up with y'all when I return on Tuesday.
