Moonlight and Merlot
The continuing saga of the lives, loves and heartbreaks of the residents of Dion Valley, CA.
As with all the best things in life, this is for adults only.

"You stay put," Nick said and Phoebe rolled her eyes. She was so totally over him. Look at all the havoc he created. All of this because he couldn't keep his dick in his pants where it belonged. Typical man.
She couldn't even begin to fathom what he saw in Lela. Lela was all dark and goth and hardly wore any make up. And Phoebe knew she had a way better body. Lela never went to the gym and Phoebe's personal trainer was one of the best in the nation.
She moved away from Nick, sat down on the hood of Zach's roster, took a minute to examine her manicure and then got bored. She glanced over at Nick, who was still staring off into the distance after Lela, and shook her head. "You know she used to fuck him, right?"
"What?" Nick asked, clearly startled out of whatever reverie he had lost himself in.
Phoebe nodded. "Apparently they totally hot and heavy for quite a while."
He eyed her suspiciously. "Why are you telling me this?"
"Just making conversation," she said with a shrug.
"Do you always have to stir shit up?"
"Hell of a lot more interesting than staring off into space," she muttered.
Nick ignored her and Phoebe blew a silent raspberry in his direction. This whole morning sucked. And the stupid sun was suddenly over-bright, blinding, and it was beginning to make her head throb again.
With a low moan of agony, Phoebe curled into a ball and folded her arms over her head to block out the evil rays. The dark she created was cool, comforting, and she breathed out a sigh of relief.
A feeling of peace came over her, contentment, and for some reason, these feelings seemed really, really powerful. And familiar. A strange wave of déjà vu rolled over and through her.
The thought that she should make Nick pay occurred to her, but she couldn't quite remember or fully understand what that exactly meant. She just knew that it was right. Nick must pay. Pay, pay, pay. The message was loud and clear, beating a steady rhythm right behind her eyes. It wasn't painful. It was incredibly painful.
She groaned, agony and ecstasy in her dark little world, the beat of the message louder and bolder and more demanding with every passing second. Goosebumps prickled her skin and suddenly she remembered the night before with crystal clarity. She remembered the Diner, Nick, tricking her, the light of the full moon and the surge of power when she vowed her revenge.
Her revenge.
Her revenge would be very, very sweet.
Through the pain, through the tears she didn't quite realize were running down her face, something deep within Phoebe smiled.
[Until next Tuesday…]

Six Sentence Sunday
More from the Sky Pirate WIP…
Daric bolted upright, startled out of the darkness. Tensed, ready for attack, he looked around for whatever it was that woke him and was surprised to find himself alone in a strange bed. His eyebrows furrowed as he took in the neat, little room, the white, lace curtains, the brightly colored flowers.
He threw back the covers to get out of the bed when the sound of a woman's voice reached his ears, humming a melody of such sweet sorrow it made his heart ache. Flashes of images, little more than vague flicks of broken memory, came to him as he listened, visions of a beautiful, dark-haired angel, her hands soft and sure and gentle, touching him while singing that very same tune. The voice seeped into him, both relaxing and arousing, and he hardened, the longing in his groin every bit as sweet and tormented as the song.

An Interesting Juxtaposition
I found these pictures as I was trolling the web one day. I don't know what they are from – maybe some kind of ad campaign or something – but I thought they were interesting enough to share.
Enjoy! (I know I did)
