Execution of Justice- Political Adventure Drama! December 31, 2017
Execution of Justice is a political adventure book. The book is long and thoroughly engrossing. It revolves around many countries and the underlying atmosphere is grey and gloomy. The stage was set in the first scene itself when an undercover agent visits a ruthless underworld leader amidst harsh setting only to be brutally murdered. The introduction of hero took me by surprise. Earlier a couple of impressive characters were introduced and whole chapters dedicated to them, so when this apparently non-impressive character was introduced it took me sometime to understand the importance of this character with relevance to the story. The story is deep, dark and troubled and paints the picture of a futile world where humanity is at stake and nothing is what as it actually appears. The story would give you goosebumps and keep you on edge but, it would also give you food for thought and make you think about serious world concerns. Awesome work by author Patrick Dent.

 Enthralling! December 23, 2017
I like it, I like it. An enjoyable read with a plethora of characters and scenarios that all gel well. Usually I find that where there are so many characters and situations that I tend to lose track of the underlying story, but in this case as said, the characters and scenarios do gel well in to following chapters.

It is story of dirty tricks at work and the lengths that some areas of government bureaucracies will go to, to achieve their own aims. It highlights the internal struggles that individuals face when they have to consider the dilemma of deciding if the end result does in fact require means that a civilised person would not involve. This is confronted when John Drake Junior becomes entangled with human traffickers after the daughter of a US Congressman is kidnapped to be sold into the harem of the King of Saudi Arabia and he has to rescue her, and when this trafficking ring is loosely connected to an attempt by the CIA to start a war against the Arab countries who control the world’s oil supply.

All in all a good read and one that keeps the interest from beginning to end.

Great Action Book December 22, 2017
This book tells the exciting and action-filled story of John Drake, a man sent out on a mission to uncover a drug trafficking ring. This story is very well written and is able to capture the reader instantly. It does a wonderful job of balancing its action and mystery with its focus on its central character. I found the pace of the book to work super well at keeping me engaged and constantly trying to put all the pieces together. I felt that the strength in the depth and development of John Drake as the central character is what set this book apart from others in the genre I have read. John is a flawed human being, which already gives him a relatable layer, and throughout the book, we get to uncover his own personal demons to better understand who he is and the decisions he makes throughout the book. I would definitely recommend this book to action, military book readers.

3 Billboards vs. No Country for Old Men

You realize right away you are watching a masterpiece.
The movie follows none of the conventional rules for plot.
Two minutes before the movie ends, you tell yourself, “If they end the movie like this, I’m going to throw my shoe at the screen.”
They do.
You do.
You Google the ending.
See #1.

 Well done! December 22, 2017
This book is definitely for the action lovers out there. It seemed from the beginning, there was conspiracy, activity, and riveting turns of the pages. The book was heavy with military lingo but it was overall easy to follow and made for an exciting look into the operations that take place.

The story follows John Drake, a man who joins the military much like his father. You are sucked into his world, empathizing with him on his quest for what could be labeled as revenge.

The characters are well developed with the plots and subplots flowing nicely together. This book is a bit darker in nature, but not too much that it is distasteful. I would recommend to anyone who likes military material or just a good, action packed thriller. It will definitely have you on the edge of your seat at times and can be finished in one long setting or a couple with you begging to come back and finish.

Great action sequences with a political background. I’m into it for a tv show December 22, 2017
Let me just start by saying that I’m Drake fan and wish this book would turn into a Tv show, a bit under the same style as Jack Bauer. It was very intense and very well-written. The story is packed with action, a lot of military talk and very interesting political conspiracies. It’s a great book and I was really impressed.

The story unfolds well and is quite consistent, offering some pretty solid action sequences that will make you clinch in the chair. The characters are good, they develop well and are quite entertaining. Even if they a bit dark, well, they’re military so I wouldn’t expect anything different. The angle of patriotism and vengeance is strong but a bit unoriginal.

This is a very masculine book. From the characters to the story, to the language used. But if you’re a woman and you fancy action books with political drama, don’t be afraid to try it. I’m sure you won’t regret it.

5 Star Review of Execution of Justice

5.0 of 5 stars  I liked it.

To be honest, this was quite impressive for a debut novel. The book was short, but the action was fast-paced and I don’t feel like the length took away from the story at all. It never feels overly cliched, clunky, or like the protagonist’s best buddy will have to sacrifice himself so that the protagonist can reach his goal like there are in so many action thrillers. The main characters were well-rounded and realistic, and I could see how the protagonist’s backstory provided his motivation to find and save those women who were caught up in a sex trafficking ring even though he was reluctant to get involved at first. He winds up becoming the kind of hero that you can cheer for and sympathize with. The descriptions were vivid and the premise of how world events can swivel on the actions of one person had to be challenging, but the author handled it well.

5 Star Review of Execution of Justice

5.0 out of 5 stars  Amazingly intense page turner!

This isn’t my normal type of book but a friend said I needed to read it. Normally I’m not into war stories and violence but this book had a raw feeling to it that drug me in. It starts out introducing you to the main character John Drake, he was a young man struggling to figure out who he should be. He ends up following his fathers footsteps and joining the military. The book follows him as he goes from wayward young man to harden soldier. I was drawn to John as a character, Patrick Dent did an amazing job of creating all the characters but John had so much depth and was so personable that I found myself crying and cheering for him through the book. I definitely recommend this book to pretty much anyone looking for a great read that will keep you hooked from the first page!

5 Star Review of Execution of Justice

5.0 out of 5 stars  A Great Read!

Once I started Patrick Dent’s book, it was hard to put down. The well written story and believable characters left me more than enthralled and I found myself excitedly turning pages to find out what could possibly happened next. .Patrick’s villains are examples of the worst in man, and I wanted nothing more then to see them get what they deserved. Still I worried about the “Good Guys”, their souls, and what price they would have to pay in the execution of their mission and in their efforts to make things right again. This is a great read, and I will definitely recommend it my friends.

Fast and fun read. The plot line is interesting with well-developed characters to fulfill it in a realistic way. The author deals with a topic that he is clearly informed about. Five stars.
