The WANT List
Item: Therma Spa
This would be a hell of a thing to have for recovery. There are even some models that have propulsion that you swim against. Needless to say, they're about the price of an in ground pool. Still, having one of these in a personal gym, getting those shoulder muscles back in shape...that would be killer Phyllis Diller!

Book Wenches Interview Moi

I did a fun little interview with Book Wenches HERE. It was a lot of fun, and the interviewer was a hoot.

The WANT List
Item: Glass door refrigerator
A great, energy-saving idea...plus, it's just cool. The only thing is, you really would have to become something of a window dresser, wouldn't you? I mean, it's gotta be nice looking and organized if you're gonna have a window. There's also the matter of actually having enough food to fill the shelves. I've been so poor that all I had in my refrigerator was a hot dog and a slice of Kraft Cheese. I'm no Mistress Maddie, but I think I could handle it okay.... Is...

When I was very sick, there was a certain song that got me through some very rough patches. It was carry-over from my college days called "Hold On." The artist, Mary Beth Maziarz, was familiar to me from the soundtracks to Dawson's Creek (a heartbreaking version of "Daydream Believer")and The Broken Hearts Club (two lovely Carpenter remakes). I think it was around 1999, well before my illness, that I bought her CD Supernatural (re-released with a couple extra songs as Goodnight, Goodnight a f...

Thursday's Song
It's Guy Fawkes Day. On this day in 1605, the Gunpowder Plot to blow up Parliament in England failed when Guy Fawkes was arrested. I first heard about this holiday when I was watching Mulberry as a lad on PBS.

Gay Apartheid
Nice, pointed rant from David Mixner on the Gay Apartheid that's taking place in America. Thanks to Eli (site in Sidebar) for pointing this out.
