Picnic At Hanging Rock
This is one of my favorite films. So haunting and strange. I don't really know what it means, but I can't get it out of my head. Rachel Roberts has a great part as the school's head mistress. There's also a pretty strong homoerotic undercurrent, not only between the female characters, but between two young male characters as well. Whether this was intended or not, it's there.

The WANT List
Item: a walkin shower
This would be fab! I am not a bath person, and tubs with showers in them are so cumbersome. Plus, think of the party you could have in this! I'd prefer something a bit more Mediterranean flavored, but this is still kinda awesome.

Peter Paige (adorable!)
or Chad Allen?

My favorite music "find" of the year is an introspective songwriter named David Berkeley. I heard the song "Hurricane" on The Loft and did some research on a little thing I like to call The Interweb. I received his newest collection Strange Light this fall and the reflective nature of the songs and the instrumentation fit the season beautifully. (Y'all know I have a thing for autumnal music.) His voice is a difficult thing to pin down in terms of comparison. Certain songs sound eerily like...

Casting Vera
On my Wish List for the elegant and devestating Vera in a filmed version of Jasper Lane?
The Lady Chablis
or CCH Pounder? (a great actress)
I was also thinking that Bebe Zahara Benet would be pretty awesome, though she's a bit young for the part.
