Mystery time! What am I DOING here? Mr. Bill took this photo of me in January. It was 14F above zero. And, yes, that’s my bathing suit. Some possibilities: I am-- A) Posing for S.I.'s swimsuit edition, B) Crazed from writers block, C) Trying to freeze off an 5 extra pounds. D) Other
The truth is, I was shooting part of a book trailer for HEROES ARE MY WEAKNESS. I had a "brilliant" (Not!) idea and made Mr. Bill go out in the cold with me to film with my iPad. HE complained because he had to take his gloves off and his hands were cold!!!! Hope to have the whole thing ready for you to see in a few weeks. Remind me the next time I have a "brilliant" idea to forget about it instantly!

I’ve been promising I’d show you the cover of my newest book, HEROES ARE MY WEAKNESS (Available August 26), as soon as it was finished and here it is. http://susanelizabethphillips.com/her...
Finding the right cover for this book has been a much bigger challenge than any of us anticipated. Do we put a gorgeous man on it? Sounds good except most readers prefer to use their imagination. I know I do. What about a photograph of a drop dead sexy heroine who renders men speechless? Nope. Annie Hewitt is more like you and me—an ordinary woman trying to keep her head above water under difficult circumstances. She’s funny, feisty, and a little sarcastic. She’s also very much afraid of the villain in our story, the mysterious and totally terrifying Theo Harp. Not that she’ll let him know that.
But... Is Theo really the villain, or is he the hero? (Or something in between?) So confusing to everyone, especially to Annie. Trust me when I tell you she has a lot of reasons to think the worst of him. The final cover for HEROES ARE MY WEAKNESS feels exactly right. It reflects the cold, wintry setting of an isolated island off the coast of Maine and the feisty spirit of a heroine who refuses to give up, even when the odds are stacked against her.
