Reuters ignores swastika tattoo of Ukrainian ‘local’

Russian diplomats called out the news agency Reuters on Friday for not noticing that a Ukrainian man they identified only as a “local resident” in the city of Kharkov had an elaborate Nazi tattoo on his arm.

“We’ve fixed your oopsie, Reuters,” the Russian arms control mission in Vienna tweeted on Friday, putting a red circle around the man’s tattoo and posting an enlarged image alongside, showing it more clearly.

“In case you forgot, a Nazi is a Nazi is a Nazi,” the mission added.

The diplomats called the photo “another propaganda stunt to slander Russia.” Reuters had captioned the photo as the aftermath of an alleged Russian strike on a residential area of Kharkov. Moscow has consistently denied attacking civilian infrastructure, insisting it only targets military objects.

“A local resident inspects a damaged van following a military strike, amid Russia’s attack on Ukraine,” said the caption for the picture, taken by Reuters photographer Ivan Alvarado and published on June 8 as part of a photo gallery.

The man, whose face cannot be seen in the photo, is peering into a white van peppered with shrapnel holes. A massive swastika inside a circle can be seen peeking out from beneath the left sleeve of his light blue t-shirt, part of a tattoo that looks like an armband worn by Nazi party members.

The Russian arms control mission in Austria was hardly the first to notice the tattoo. Multiple social media users have responded to Reuters wondering about the caption or the choice to include it in the collage.

“There must be a lot of Nazis in this region if Reuters couldn’t find a photo of a Ukrainian without a swastika tattoo,” said one representative comment.

Moscow’s stated objective for sending troops into Ukraine in February was to “demilitarize and denazify” the government in Kiev. The US and its allies, who support Ukraine, have accused Russia of inventing or exaggerating the existence of Nazis in the country. Time and again, however, the supposedly nonexistent Nazis end up being featured in media photographs.

On May 9, as Russia celebrated victory over Nazi Germany, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted a photo of a Ukrainian soldier wearing a “Totenkopf” (death’s head) patch of the 3rd SS Panzer Division.

In March, the Ukrainian foreign ministry tweeted out photos of female soldiers, clearly showing the “Sonnenrad” (Black Sun) symbol used by the German SS as well as Ukraine’s notorious “Azov” militia. NATO shared a similar photo of a Ukrainian soldier as well, only to hastily scrub the tweet after online activists pointed out that it featured the same symbol.

At the end of May, following the surrender of most of its fighters in Mariupol, the notorious Azov militia announced it was changing its main symbol to the Ukrainian trident, dropping the “Wolfsangel” rune used previously. Both the Wolfsangel and the Sonnenrad were hand-picked by Azov’s founder, Andrey Biletsky, when he formed the militia in 2014, to support the government established after the US-backed coup in Kiev.

Trillions of Microplastic Particles Spread on Land Used to Grow Food

In addition to being consumed and absorbed by animals and plants, microplastics pose a serious threat to the soil ecosystem because they leach toxic chemicals and transport hazardous pathogens.

Plastic particles smaller than 5mm (known as microplastics) are well-documented pollutants in ocean and freshwater habitats.

The discovery of microplastics in the most remote rivers of the Himalayas and the deepest trenches of the Pacific Ocean has sparked widespread concern. But how much microplastic lies closer to home — buried in the soil where food is grown?

Our latest study estimated that between 31,000 and 42,000 tonnes of microplastics (or 86 trillion — 710 trillion microplastic particles) are spread on European farmland soils each year, mirroring the concentration of microplastics in ocean surface waters.

The cause is microplastic-laden fertilizers derived from sewage sludge diverted from wastewater treatment plants.

These are commonly spread on farmland as a renewable source of fertilizer throughout European countries, in part due to EU directives that aim to promote a circular waste economy.

As well as creating a massive reservoir of environmental microplastics, this practice is effectively undoing the benefit of removing these particles from wastewater.

Spreading microplastics onto farmland will eventually return them to natural watercourses, as rain washes water on the surface of soil into rivers, or it eventually infiltrates groundwater.

Wastewater treatment plants remove solid contaminants (such as plastics and other large particles) from raw sewage and drain water using a series of settling tanks. This produces an effluent of clean water that can be released into the environment.

The floating material and settled particles from these tanks are combined to form the sludge used as fertilizer.

We found that up to 650 million microplastic particles between 1mm and 5mm in size entered a wastewater treatment plant in south Wales, U.K., every day.

All of these particles were separated from the incoming sewage and diverted into the sludge rather than being released with the clean effluent. This demonstrates how effective default wastewater treatment can be for removing microplastics.

At this facility, each gram of sewage sludge contained up to 24 microplastic particles, which was roughly 1% of its weight. In Europe, an estimated 8 million to 10 million tonnes of sewage sludge is generated each year, with around 40% sent to farmland.

The spreading of sewage sludge on agricultural soil is widely practiced across Europe, owing to the nitrogen and phosphorus it offers crops.

U.K. farms also use sewage sludge as fertilizer. In our study, the U.K. had the highest amount of microplastic pollution within its soils across all European nations (followed by Spain, Portugal and Germany).

Between 500 and 1,000 microplastic particles are applied to each square meter of agricultural land in the U.K. every year.

A poisoned circular waste economy

At present, there are no adequate solutions to the release of microplastics into the environment from wastewater treatment plants.

Microplastics removed from wastewater are effectively transported to the land, where they reside until being returned to waterways. According to a study conducted in Ontario, Canada, 99% of microplastics in agricultural soil were transported away from where the sludge was initially applied.

Until then, they have the potential to harm life in the soil. As well as being easily consumed and absorbed by animals and plants, microplastics pose a serious threat to the soil ecosystem because they leach toxic chemicals and transport hazardous pathogens.

Experiments have shown that the presence of microplastics can stunt earthworm growth and cause them to lose weight.

Microplastics can also change the acidity, water holding capacity and porosity of soil. This affects plant growth and performance by altering the way roots bury into the soil and take up nutrients.

There is currently no European legislation to limit the amount of microplastics embedded in sewage sludge used as fertilizer. Germany has set upper limits for impurities like glass and plastic, allowing up to 0.1% of wet fertilizer weight to constitute plastics larger than 2mm in size.

According to the results from the wastewater treatment plant in south Wales, applying sewage sludge would be prohibited if similar legislation were in place in the U.K.

For the time being, landowners are likely to continue recycling sewage sludge as sustainable fertilizer, despite the risk of contaminating soils and eventually rivers and the ocean with microplastics.

Google tells Congress proposed antitrust bill would hinder its censorship efforts

Google is appealing to Democrat lawmakers.

Google continues to lobby and campaign against legislative efforts aimed at curbing its monopolistic power, this time openly, in a blog post.

Google claims that antitrust legislation – whose goal is to loosen the stranglehold it has on the market and competitors – would prevent it from censoring “disinformation.”

In the past months, the tech giant has used other avenues as well, from ( fake) grassroots support that it purports to have, to spending millions on professional lobbyists in Washington DC.

In all this, Google has gone for all sorts of “targeted” arguments in an effort to make sure the bipartisan bills never become law. Lawmakers and voters had the chance to hear that if Google is not allowed to run its business unimpeded, exactly as it’s doing now, anything from innovation to national security would suffer.

And now, no doubt addressing that part of its audience that is particularly concerned with the specter of arbitrarily, if at all, defined “disinformation” as internet’s “greatest ill” – this time in the context of geopolitics – Google claims that the bills under consideration in Congress, would, if passed, prevent it from censoring disinformation.

VP of Google’s Privacy, Safety and Security Royal Hansen, claims that the legislation is a risk for US security, for that of its users, while it doesn’t address problems that “Americans care the most about.”

Despite the context of the writeup, Hansen for some reason mentions “privacy, child safety, and inflation.” This Google exec packs a lot of FUD into just a few sentences, to also warn users that some of their favorite products like Search and Maps will get broken – if Google is made to abide by possible future antitrust laws.

Among many other usual talking points that supposedly outweigh the need to regulate Big Tech’s business models Hansen talks about the danger of “rolling back” Google’s “war on disinformation” – that is, the unprecedented levels of censorship visible particularly on YouTube.

These last years, the topics were mostly Covid and US elections, but those are getting a little old; and so Hansen brings the war in Ukraine into the mix – as another reason why the digital market should not be a fair and level playing field for startups and other competitors.

“By prohibiting us from ‘discriminating’ against competitors, the bill would prevent us from taking action against purveyors of malicious content,” writes the Google exec. “Since Russia invaded Ukraine, we have been able to move quickly to limit pro-Russian propaganda and disinformation, even as that content has migrated to new channels. The proposed legislation could undermine this work.”

US is heavily reliant on China and Russia for its ammo supply chain. Congress wants to fix that.

WASHINGTON — The United States has relied almost entirely on China — and to a lesser extent Russia — in recent years to procure a critical mineral that is vital to producing ammunition.

The mineral antimony is critical to the defense-industrial supply chain and is needed to produce everything from armor-piercing bullets and explosives to nuclear weapons as well as sundry other military equipment, such as night vision goggles.

Antimony is now on the front lines of recent congressional efforts to shore up the strategic reserve of rare earth minerals, known as the national defense stockpile. The stockpile includes a multitude of other minerals critical to the defense-industrial supply chain such as titanium, tungsten, cobalt and lithium, but lawmakers expect will become insolvent by fiscal 2025 absent corrective action.

The House Armed Services Committee took its first stab at addressing China’s grip on the antimony supply chain in draft legislation it released Wednesday. A report accompanying the bill would require the manager of the national defense stockpile to brief the committee on the status of antimony by October while providing “a five-year outlook of these minerals and current and future supply chain vulnerabilities.”

“The committee is concerned about recent geopolitical dynamics with Russia and China and how that could accelerate supply chain disruptions, particularly with antimony,” the report noted.

The draft legislation would also require the Defense Department to instate a policy of recycling spent batteries to reclaim “precious metals, rare earth minerals and elements of strategic importance (such as Cobalt and Lithium) into the supply chain or strategic reserves of the United States.”

The House’s readiness subcommittee is expected to approve the draft text on Thursday, and the Armed Services Committee is set to advance the legislation as part of its annual defense authorization bill later this month.

After Japan cut off the U.S. supply of antimony from China during World War II, the United States began procuring the mineral from ore in an Idaho goldmine. However, that mine ceased production in 1997.

“There is no domestic mine for antimony,” according to a 2020 report from the U.S. Geological Survey, a government agency. “China is the largest producer of mined and refined antimony and a major source of imports for the United States.”

The report noted that China is “losing market share with Russia, the world’s second-ranked producer,” with Tajikistan gaining ground in the global market as the world’s third-largest supplier of antimony.

Lawmakers’ recent interest in shoring up the national defense stockpile of strategic minerals marks a significant about-face for Congress, which had repeatedly authorized multimillion-dollar sales of the reserve over the past several decades to fund other programs.

At its peak during the beginning of the Cold War in 1952, the stockpile was valued at nearly $42 billion in today’s dollars. That value has plummeted to $888 million as of last year.

The Defense Department submitted its own legislative proposal to Congress last month, asking lawmakers to authorize $253.5 million in the defense authorization bill to procure additional minerals for the stockpile.

Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass., who sits on the House Armed Services Committee, led seven Republicans in April in asking the defense appropriations subcommittee to provide an additional $264 million in funding for the stockpile for FY23.

“The current stockpile is inadequate to meet the requirements of great power competition,” the lawmakers wrote. “The [national defense stockpile] is no longer capable of covering the Department of Defense’s needs for the vast majority of identified materials in the event of a supply chain disruption.”

Harl dates the beginning of the Middle Ages to the domination of the Eurasian steppes by Turks (who had migrated from the Orcon Valley in Inner Mongolia). In 330 AD, the Turks formed their first viable steppes confederations. Their success in defeating other tribes stemmed mainly from their superior saddles with metal stirrups, their improvements in the composite bow and their impressive skill as metallurgists. Their military tactics (combining simple mounted archers with heavily armored cavalry with lances) would only be defeated by the advent of firearms in the 15th century.

After negotiating terms with China’s Wei kingdom,[1] they went to war with the Hephthalites [2] to cash in on the Silk Road trade. In the late sixth century the Göktürks assimilated a number of Turkic tribes to form the Göktürk Khagnate. The latter expanded rapidly and broke into the Eastern and Western Göktürk Khagnates.

In 618 AD the Tang dynasty re-unified China and went to war against the Eastern Khagnate, which splintered into independent tribes. Thousands of Turks were captured and taken to China to serve in the military. China subsequently conquered and took control of the Western Khagnate as well.

Following the collapse of the Tang dynasty in 680-681 AD, the Göktürk Khagnates were restored.

By 700 AD the Uighur Turks had captured sufficient territory to assimilate the earlier Göktürk Khagnates. Mainly embracing Manichaeism,[3] the Uighurs tolerated all religions, built towns and developed their own written language. They enjoyed close relationships both with caravan cities and Chinese emperors. As well as marrying half their khans to Chinese princesses, they also adopted Chinese culture and religions.

In 845 AD the Uighur Khagnate collapsed following an internal civil war, and the majority of Uigurs migrated to the Tarim Basin.

Harl views the sophisticated administrative skills of the khagnates as a dress rehearsal for the Mongolian empire. In fact, Ghenghis Khan’s owed  his vast empire to the Uighurs he employed as administrators.

Biden Administration Makes Available 10 Million Doses of COVID Vaccine for Kids Under 5 — Before FDA Authorizes Shot

The Biden administration today said it made available 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines for children under age 5 to states and healthcare workers with “millions more available in the coming weeks.”

The White House unveiled its “Operational Plan” for vaccinating the youngest age group — one week before advisors to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are scheduled to meet to decide whether to grant Emergency Use Authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna pediatric vaccines for babies as young as 6 months old.

According to the White House:

“If FDA authorizes and [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)] recommends one or both of the COVID-19 vaccines for this age group, it would be a historic milestone in the nation’s fight against the virus — and would mean nearly every American is eligible for the protection that vaccination provides.”

Children under 5 could begin receiving the vaccines as early as “the week of June 20th — with the program ramping up over time as more doses are delivered and more appointments become available,” the White House said.

Senior administration officials told The New York Times orders for the vaccines from states “have been somewhat tepid so far.”

Of the 5 million doses offered last week — prior to today’s announcement — 58% of the available Pfizer vaccines were ordered, and “roughly a third” of the available Moderna vaccines had been ordered.

The vaccines, paid for by the U.S. government, are being made available to pediatricians’ offices, community health centers, rural health clinics, children’s hospitals, public health clinics, local pharmacies and other community-based organizations.

The administration said it “will remain laser-focused on equity and making sure that we reach those hardest-hit and most at-risk communities.”

The plan includes working with programs such as Head Start and the Women, Infants, and Children, or WIC, Program in addition to Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program, known as CHIP, and Latino, Black and Native American community programs.

The White House also will focus on parents, especially moms:

“‘What to Expect,’ a platform of over 20 million moms, will author a blog series featuring doctors and other trusted experts answering questions about pediatric COVID-19 vaccines, and how moms, expecting moms, and all parents can get the information they need to get themselves and their children vaccinated; author new articles dispelling myths about the COVID-19 vaccine and children; and create and amplify new What to Expect social media content, reaching moms where they are and fighting vaccine misinformation across all platforms.”

Critics question need, raise safety, efficacy concerns

Many experts have questioned the need to vaccine young children in part because the virus poses little-to-no serious risk to them and in part because, according to the CDC, the majority of children have already had, and recovered from the virus.

Dr. Marty Makary last week told Fox News the COVID-19 vaccines do “not make sense” for most kids.

Makary, a physician and public health researcher at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, said:

“If you look at the fact that 75% of kids had COVID as of a CDC study back in February and Omicron has been ubiquitous since then, 80 to 90 plus percent of kids have already had COVID. So we’re talking about immunizing those who are already immune for a lot of people. That just does not make sense.

Others, including Dr. Michelle Perro, a pediatrician, have warned about the risks associated with the vaccine, and evidence the vaccines provide weak protection, especially as they were designed for the original Wuhan strain which has been supplanted by a wave of new strains.

In a letter submitted Wednesday to the FDA, 18 members of Congress addressed a number of concerns about the vaccines.

They asked the agency to, “Please list the medical emergencies of children 0 to 4 years old that enables the FDA to approve the COVID vaccine for children using its EUA.”

In all, the Congress members demanded answers to 19 questions and requested a response before next week’s meeting.

Commenting on today’s announcement by the White House and on its timing — a week before FDA scientists meet to review data on the vaccines — Children’s Health Defense (CHD) Chairman and Chief Legal Counsel Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. called on parents and physicians “now more than ever” to “step into the breach to protect our babies from our government.”

Kennedy said the COVID-19 countermeasures, including the vaccines, were “never about science or public health.”

He added:

“Now they have departed from common sense and into naked cruelty and barbarism. By recommending an unapproved, experimental, zero-liability and high-risk medical intervention for an illness that poses zero statistical danger to that age group, the White House has made itself the enemy of America’s children.

“The Pharma gods have demanded child sacrifice and the high priests of public health have offered a generation of infants. Now more than ever, parents and physicians must step into the breach to protect our babies from our government.”

Kennedy and CHD in February delivered a letter to top public health officials and the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee urging them to reject Pfizer’s application for EUA of its COVID vaccine for children 6 months through 4 years of age.

40-Year-Old Man Injured by COVID Vaccine Among 1st in Canada to Receive Compensation

Ross Wightman, a Canadian man who developed Guillain-Barré Syndrome after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine last year, may seek additional compensation, stating he doesn’t think the approved payout matches the physical, emotional and financial toll he’s endured.

A 40-year-old man living in British Columbia, Canada last month learned the Canadian government approved his request for compensation for a COVID-19 vaccine injury.

Ross Wightman, a 40-year-old husband and father of two, said it took years of submitting paperwork before the government approved the claim.

He is believed to be among the first of only a handful of people to receive compensation under Canada’s Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP).

Wightman did not divulge the exact amount of the payout. However, he said he did not qualify for the program’s maximum payout of $284,000.

While there have been 46,149 officially recorded adverse reactions to COVID-19 vaccines in Canada, only a handful of those injured have received any compensation.

Wightman was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare condition affecting the nervous system that left him partially paralyzed, soon after receiving his first and only dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in April 2021, CBC reported.

Wightman told the National Post he developed severe back pain 10 days after getting the shot. He went to the emergency room numerous times and was admitted on a Saturday when he reported facial tingling.

“By Tuesday, I had full facial paralysis,” Wightman said. “I could blink but I couldn’t smile or show my teeth at all, and had paralysis from the waist down as well.”

He spent 67 days in the hospital before being able to return home. Wightman, who worked as a pilot and real estate agent prior to his diagnosis, said has been unable to return to work.

The hardest thing, though, he told CBC, is being unable to do physical activities — like playing soccer — with his kids.

On May 20, Wightman received a letter acknowledging there was a “probable cause association” between the disorder and his vaccination and stating he would be issued a compensation payout.

The Canadian government, which established the VISP in July 2021, was the only G7 country that did not have a vaccine injury compensation program prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Getting payout took persistence, many others still left uncompensated

According to VISP’s website, 400 vaccine injury claims were submitted in 2021, between June 1 and Nov. 30 — and only five were approved by a medical review board.

Only a trickle of Canadians who submitted vaccine injury claims to VISP have received payment.

“It’s indicative of our persistence with the program,” Wightman told Global News yesterday.

He added:

“Every week or every two weeks, phoning, emailing, ‘What’s happening?’ ‘Do you have all the paperwork you need?’ ‘Has this doctor sent you this file?’”

While receiving the program’s payout letter was “quite vindicating,” Wightman is not “overly excited” about the payout, which includes eligibility for a maximum income replacement of $90,000.

“The income replacement won’t be what we’ve been used to … so that’s a little disappointing to me,” he said.

Wightman said he plans to appeal the payout amount to the program’s medical review board, which he said failed to take all his symptoms into account.

In addition to paralysis and limited use of his hands, Wightman also experiences loss of feeling in his feet and vision impairments. These other symptoms weren’t included in his injury benefit assessment, he told CBC.

Wightman is also seeking legal counsel.

The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) so far recorded 10 reports since December 2020 of individuals hospitalized with GBS within 30 days of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Four cases of GBS followed the AstraZeneca vaccine, five followed Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty, and one followed Moderna Spikevax.

In the U.S., the number of reports of GBS following COVID-19 vaccination is higher.

As reported by The Defender, Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) data released June 3 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed 883 reports of Guillain-Barré syndrome, with 42% of cases attributed to Pfizer, 30% to Moderna and 28% to Johnson & Johnson between Dec. 14, 2020, and May 27, 2022.

The Defender last year reported on a Texas teenager diagnosed with GBS a few weeks after his first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. His family did not divulge which vaccine the teen received.

GBS isn’t the only injury people are reporting after receiving COVID-19 vaccines in Canada or the U.S.

The most recent U.S. VAERS data include 1,287,595 reports of adverse events from all age groups following COVID-19 vaccines, including 28,532 deaths and 235,041 serious injuries between Dec. 14, 2020, and May 27, 2022.

Although reports submitted to VAERS require further investigation before a causal relationship can be confirmed, the system has been shown to report only 1% of actual vaccine adverse events, as previously reported by The Defender.

Federal programs in the U.S. compensating people who suffered injuries from vaccines or COVID-19 pandemic treatment are facing so many claims that thousands of Americans may not receive payment for their injuries for a long time, Politico reported earlier this month.

Pressure mounts in Canada to drop vaccine mandates

While the risk of a GBS diagnosis following a COVID-19 vaccination – in this case, using the AstraZeneca vaccine – is very rare, the BCCDC and Health Canada have documented the probable causal link.

Health officials’ acknowledgment of the potential health risk has sparked new criticism of COVID-19 mandates.

On Tuesday’s episode of “The Jimmy Dore Show,” the comedian and political commentator discussed Wightman’s payout and the BCCDC’s knowledge that GBS is a documented possible side effect of COVID-19 vaccination.

“So they know [that a diagnosis of GBS is possible],” Dore said. “Doesn’t that change every calculation you’ve ever had for mandating someone take this treatment?”

Here’s your ‘reserve currency’ thought for the day: Every US dollar is a check written on an account that is overdrawn by 30 trillion dollars.

It’s true. The “full faith and credit” of the US Treasury is largely a myth held together by an institutional framework that rests on a foundation of pure sand. In fact, the USD is not worth the paper it is printed on; it is an IOU flailing in an ocean of red ink. The only thing keeping the USD from vanishing into the ether, is the trust of credulous people who continue to accept it as legal tender.

But why do people remain confident in the dollar when its flaws are known to all? After all, America’s $30 trillion National Debt is hardly a secret, nor is the additional $9 trillion that’s piled up on the Fed’s balance sheet. That is a stealth debt of which the American people are completely unaware, but they are responsible for all the same.

In order to answer that question, we need to look at how the system actually works and how the dollar is propped up by the numerous institutions that were created following WW2. These institutions provide an environment for conducting history’s longest and most flagrant swindle, the exchange of high-ticket manufactured goods, raw materials and hard-labor for slips of green paper with dead presidents on them. One can only marvel at the genius of the elites who concocted this scam and then imposed it wholesale on the masses without a peep of protest. Of course, the system is accompanied by various enforcement mechanisms that swiftly remove anyone who tries to either break free from the dollar or, God help us, create an alternate system altogether. (Saddam Hussein and Muammar Qaddafi come to mind.) But the fact is– aside from the institutional framework and the ruthless extermination of dollar opponents– there’s no reason why humanity should remain yoked to a currency that is buried beneath a mountain of debt and whose real value is virtually unknowable.

It wasn’t always like this. There was a time when the dollar was the strongest currency in the world and deserved its spot at the top of the heap. Following WW1, the US was “the owner of the majority of the world’s gold” which was why an international delegation “decided that the world’s currencies would no longer be linked to gold but could be pegged to the U.S. dollar, “because the greenback was, itself, linked to gold.” Here’s more from an article at Investopedia:

“The arrangement came to be known as the Bretton Woods Agreement. It established the authority of central banks, which would maintain fixed exchange rates between their currencies and the dollar. In turn, the United States would redeem U.S. dollars for gold on demand….

The U.S dollar was officially crowned the world’s reserve currency and was backed by the world’s largest gold reserves thanks to the Bretton Woods Agreement. Instead of gold reserves, other countries accumulated reserves of U.S. dollars. Needing a place to store their dollars, countries began buying U.S. Treasury securities, which they considered to be a safe store of money.

The demand for Treasury securities, coupled with the deficit spending needed to finance the Vietnam War and the Great Society domestic programs, caused the United States to flood the market with paper money….

The demand for gold was such that President Richard Nixon was forced to intervene and de-link the dollar from gold, which led to the floating exchange rates that exist today. But now the gold is gone and what’s left is a steaming pile of debt. So, how on earth has the dollar managed to preserve its status as the world’s preeminent currency?

Proponents of the dollar system, will tell you it has something to do with “the size and strength of the U.S. economy and the dominance of the U.S. financial markets.” But that’s nonsense.

The truth is, reserve currency status has nothing to do with “the size and strength” of America’s post-industrial, service-oriented, bubble-driven, third-world-sh**hole economy. Nor does it have anything to do with the alleged safety of US Treasuries” which– next to the dollar– is the biggest Ponzi flim-flam of all time.

The real reason the dollar has remained the world’s premier currency is because of the cartelization of Central Banking. The Western Central Banks are a de facto monopoly run by a small cabal of inter-breeding bottom-feeders who coordinate and collude on monetary policy in order to preserve their maniacal death-grip on the financial markets and the global economy. It’s a Monetary Mafia and– as George Carlin famously said: “You and I are not in it. You and I are not in the big club.” Bottom line: It is the relentless manipulation of interest rates, forward guidance and Quantitative Easing (QE) that has kept the dollar in its lofty but undeserved spot.

But all that is about to change due entirely to Biden’s reckless foreign policy which is forcing critical players in the global economy to create their own rival system. This is a real tragedy for the West that has enjoyed a century of nonstop wealth extraction from the developing world. Now– due to the economic sanctions on Russia– an entirely new order is emerging in which the dollar will be substituted for national currencies (processed through an independent financial settlement system) in bilateral trade deals until– later this year– Russia launches an exchange-traded commodities-backed currency that will be used by trading partners in Asia and Africa. Washington’s theft of Russia’s foreign reserves in April turbo-charged the current process which was further accelerated by banning of Russia from foreign markets. In short, US economic sanctions and boycotts have expanded the non-dollar zone by many orders of magnitude and forced the creation of a new monetary order.

How dumb is that? For decades the US has been running a scam in which it exchanges its fishwrap currency for things of genuine value. (oil, manufactured goods and labor) But now the Biden troupe has scrapped that system altogether and divided the world into warring camps.

Healthy young people dying from ‘mysterious syndrome’

A report that healthy young people are dying suddenly and unexpectedly from a mysterious syndrome has caught the eye of epidemiologists and analysts who have documented an alarming rise in excess deaths they believe is connected to the COVID-19 vaccines.

DailyMail.com reported Wednesday that in Australia, where some 95% of the population has been vaccinated for COVID-19, people under the age of 40 are being urged get their hearts checked because they may be at risk of what is being called Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, or SADS.

It’s an “umbrella term to describe unexpected deaths in young people,” according to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and it occurs in people who are otherwise healthy.

There’s a U.S.-based SADS Foundation that has recorded this phenomenon for many years. And it isn’t new to Australia.

But the question is why a syndrome that few people have ever heard of is being spotlighted by health officials and why young people are being urged to get a heart exam.

Earlier this week, WND reported the Australian government reported deaths this year were 10% above normal, excluding COVID-19.

That alarming statistic in the government’s May 25 report is consistent with figures in the United States spotlighted by insurance industry executives as well as analysts who point to the correlation with the COVID-19 vaccination campaigns.

Dr. Peter McCullough, a world renowned cardiologist and a leading critic of the mRNA vaccines, wrote Wednesday on the website America Out Loud that because “so many physicians were duped into the taking one of the COVID-19 vaccines, they are having a hard time coming to terms with the reality that their patients are developing complications that indeed a physician could develop, including well-recognized problems such as myocarditis, blood clots, bleeding, and skin rashes and immune system problems.”

“The most worrisome of all complications is death after vaccination,” he wrote.

He pointed out that the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System website, known as VAERS, has recorded 13,045 instances of Americans dying shortly after taking a COVID-19 vaccine.

The VAERS data – which studies show is an underreporting of actual adverse events – is consistent with, among other things, the alarming trend observed in the insurance industry, the spike in sudden deaths and heart attacks in healthy athletes, the testimonies of vaccine-injured people and the more than 1,000 peer-reviewed studies presenting evidence of vaccine-related adverse events.

In the United States, as WND reported, former Wall Street executive Edward Dowd and an insurance-industry analyst with whom he has teamed have compiled CDC data indicating the Millennial generation suffered a “Vietnam War event,” with more than 61,000 excess deaths from March 2021 to February 2022.

WND reported in January the CEO of a Midwest life insurance company disclosed the industry was seeing the highest death rates in its history, up 40% over pre-pandemic levels. The executive noted a “three-sigma, or 200-year catastrophe, would be a 10% increase over pre-pandemic levels.”

Rich People in Spain, Including Pharmaceutical Company President, Caught Buying Fake COVID Vaccine Certificates

Police in Spain have uncovered a scam involving more than 2,000 famous people, including top medical personnel and the head of a major pharmaceutical company, who illegally bought fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates from a nurse without taking the shot.

The shocking revelations are contained in an article published by EuroWeekly News.

“Amongst those that have been investigated are leading singers, musicians, football stars, business people, politicians and top medical personnel,” according to the report.

Wealthy individuals paid to be added to the National Immunisation Registry without actually having to take the vaccine.

The most notable name on the list is President of PharmaMar José María Fernández Sousa-Faro, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Spain and a firm that has researched COVID-19 drug treatments.

“The 76-year-old businessman, who has not yet been summoned to testify, was included in the lists to reflect that he had received the third dose,” states the report.

A nursing assistant at La Paz University Hospital has been arrested by police for his role in the fraud. He made more than €200,000 euros in return for illegally adding 2,200 people to the national vaccine database. The more famous the person, the more money he charged.

It’s interesting that there are numerous sports personalities and athletes on the list, including footballers, boxers and wrestlers, given the reports of a significant spike in adverse reactions and deaths suffered by sports stars over the last year.

“Let’s not forget the biggest scandal here: that the president of a pharmaceutical company would be so wary of taking a drug which all the trials and medical authorities insist is safe and effective. What does he know that he’s not letting on?” asks Will Jones.
