Nuclear energy on Earth?

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/13/world ... ml?_r=1&hp

"He was speaking amid fears that a disastrous meltdown could be imminent because of critical cooling failures at that plant and another nearby, Daini, after both were shut down." --from the above NY Times article

"Human apes shall embrace the use of nuclear power, said UG, for it has excellent potential of reducing the potentially devastating carbon build-up in the atmosphere—but only if the nuclear power is generated off-planet. Humans must never ever generate nuclear power, fission or fusion or whatever, on earth or in earth's orbit." --from The Monkey Bible

Latest review

This just in from one reader, Christopher Ellis: "I highly recommend The Monkey Bible. It is an adventure, a mystery, & a challenge. The title comes from within the story, an essay which explores the false dichotomy of Science & Religion, in the aspect of Darwin's theory of evolution as opposed by heterodox fundamentalists of ever...y stripe...I found it an enjoyable & interesting read, with little surprises hidden along the way. Frogs with teeth

A huge number of North Americans humans don't accept the theory of evolution. A huge number of tree frogs, nonetheless, re-acquired their lower teeth, according to scientists. Can the frogs and the humans reconcile their differences? Thoughts?

Agnostic?

"When all is said and done, if one is honest about it, does anyone really know? Does anyone really know whether the theistic or athiestic view is the truth? When all is said and done, aren't we all, essentially, agnostic? Why do people demand certainty regarding something that, it could be said, they can't know?" Someone said this to me. What do you think? Which view is shared in The Monkey Bible?
