Neocon ♥ Neocon

Jennifer Rubin of the dying federal house organ, the Washington Post, praises her fellow warmonger Rick Santorum for his courage in agreeing with the power elite on central banking and Ben Bernanke. As to her special hate, the antiwar Ron, she says:

The most ignored man in the presidential race isn't Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.), whose rabid followers have elevated a marginal figure with untenable positions to the front pages of newspapers.

Newspapers: you remember those, don't you?

Gardasil Rick Regrets

His corrupt, dangerous, totalitarian vaccine scheme, now that it is giving him political trouble.

'3 Reasons Ron Paul Will Never Be President'?

Claims the Gothamist, in effect speaking for the whole of the anti-Paulian media:

1) He's too old. Oh brother. Just as we are glad to see some gray hairs on the pilot of our 747, in case of trouble, we want an experienced leader in the greatest financial crisis in the history of the world. Civilized people welcome the guidance, prudence, and wisdom of a kind and smart elder. Or are we really supposed to prefer the younger creeps like Bachmann, Perry, and Obama, people who know no real economics, unlike the scholar Ron? And did I mention that this proven quantity is a lifelong athlete, with the physique of a man 20 years younger?

2) Abolish the IRS. Even if one is a statist, and thinks the parasites deserve vast revenue, the IRS brings in a small part of the federal loot, at vast cost and oppression to the tax victims. This is one of Ron's greatest principles. Abolish the IRS, and do not replace it with a monstrous VAT or FairTax. The mega-state must be cut back, if we are to survive.

3) He's just like all the other lackluster Republican candidates, except on weed. Huh? He is so different that it is stunning. They rest are warmongers, worshippers of a foreign state, corporate statists, welfare statists, and wholly own subsidiaries of the big banks and Wall Street. Ron Paul is principled, unowned, and proven. He stands out like the North Star.

So these 3 claims, properly considered, turn out to be 3 reasons to root for Ron.

End the Wars TV Speech

Writes Dom Arementano:

Everyone out there, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, and Independent is ABSOLUTELY SICK TO DEATH of the foreign wars. I have not encountered anyone, and I mean anyone, who does not think that we should immediately end the conflicts and call the troops home. Could Ron use his money and leverage NOW and purchase TV time (say 15 minutes)  on a major network and give that speech? My guess is that it would immediately change the dynamic of the entire campaign. Just a thought.
