'Ron Paul spreading same message as always, resonating finally'

St. Petersburg Times:

"Ron Paul framed it as 'a fight that could literally change our country' and laid out a plan: Return to the gold standard, end U.S. military interventions overseas, demolish the Federal Reserve and stop bailouts.

"'Overwhelmingly, people said they wanted a man of principle in Washington,' his campaign manifesto read. 'They said they want someone who was really against budget deficits, big spending and high taxes, not someone who says one thing and does another.'

"The fundraising letter could have arrived yesterday.

"But it was written in 1984." Read the rest.

At the Debate Tonight

From DS:

Predicted question for Ron Paul from the Fox News moderator:

The global economy is in turmoil. Riots are breaking out around the world. The dollar is plunging. Prices are rising. U.S. debt has been downgraded for the first time in history.

So the question for you, Dr. Paul, is:

Why do you think it's okay for little children to use heroin and crack cocaine? You have 10 seconds to answer and the clock started 5 seconds ago.

Bachmannian Predicts Ron Will Do Well

Rep. Steve King (R-IA):

The Ron Paul network here is stronger than I think the media has reported," King observes. "He's been working in thes tate a long time. He has a core of loyal followers. If there is no expectation that Ron Paul will do well in the straw poll, that'll be a surprise.

More 9/11/01 Accusations

This time from Richard Clarke, about the CIA and Federal Failure Day. Is he right? Who knows. It is long past time for an actual investigation, as Ron Paul has long pointed out. Not by the government, of course.

UPDATE from DS:

Richard Clarke's allegations immediately reminded of the coverup surrounding the Oklahoma City bombing. Then, federal informants planted at the Elohim City white supremacist compound had apparently aided McVeigh in his plot to bomb the Murrah building. Ostensibly, the government had planned on arresting McVeigh before he blew up the building, but failed (seems to be a theme with the government).

Subsequently, there was a coverup to erase McVeigh's ties to Elohim City and, thus, to erase the government's culpability. The second "John Doe" initially sought by the feds, who was reported by multiple witnesses and allegedly visible in surveillance video of the crime scene, was flushed down the memory hole. The surveillance video was never released, not even at trial, until a few years ago with the relevant portions missing. McVeigh was said to have acted alone, save for some bomb-making assistance from Terry Nichols.

And McVeigh's likely accomplice, Richard Lee Guthrie, was found hanged in his prison cell by the bedsheets, supposedly a suicide. But Kenneth Trentadue, a dead ringer for Guthrie but unrelated to the bombing, also died in prison after being picked up on a parole violation. The feds tried to call his death a suicide by hanging but he was obviously beaten to death. Even the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner called the death a "homicide" and accused the feds of obstructing his investigation. Trentadue's brother Jesse, a lawyer, believes his brother was mistaken by the feds for Guthrie. He was leaked documents from FBI whistleblowers that prove McVeigh was being monitored by federal informants at Elohim City. For trying to uncover the truth, he came under attack by the Justice (sic) Department. Leaked e-mails showed that Eric Holder had instructed his underlings on how to discredit Jesse Trentadue.

And get this: A prisoner who heard Kenneth Trentadue being murdered, and offered to testify, was also found hanged in his cell by the bedsheets before he had the chance to testify.

This is the most explosive and well-documented government coverup I am aware of -- one that lays bare the dark heart of the state -- and yet few people know anything about it. The official story is still believed by almost all.

Ron as Winnie?

Writes Bob Sampson:

Ron Paul as the American Churchill!? This just neoconservatism. What's next? Ron as "Another Lincoln"? Or as the "FDR for Our Time"?
