April 14, 2023: Kitten Polyhedral Dice Set Now In Stores!

After a few years of work (trust us, you don't wanna know how the pandemic has disrupted some projects), we can now report that the Kitten Polyhedral Dice Set has shipped to distributors and is now in stores! Avalable in four different colors, these packs include seven polyhedral dice: 1d4, 1d6, 1d8, 1d10, 1d%, 1d12, and 1d20. You can use them with almost any game that needs polyhedrals, including that world-famous ampersand game that the kids are playing these days.

You can find these new dice today at your local game store.

April 13, 2023: Using GURPS Setting Books With Other RPGs?

Recently, Phil sent me a link to a fantastic RPG.Net thread where forum-user Hunter had compiled a lit of GURPS  setting books and asked users to suggest alternate systems to use them with:

"Maybe there was a GURPS setting book you fell in love with, but you had a bunch of players who were severely allergic to the system. ("Too much math!"). Or maybe you liked the setting or the book, but wanted something a little or a lot less crunchy. Or maybe you heard that GURPS is a dead system (it kind of is and it kind of isn't), and you want to run games in the setting, but with a "live" system. No matter what the reason, there is a GURPS setting book that you would like to run in a different system. But what system?"

While I won't even touch that "dead system" comment . . . to say I'm a fan of indie RPGs would be putting it mildly. So of course I came up with a pretty big list on my own, and then ran to our TikTok page to share a few ideas.

Based on both the responses to the RPG.Net thread and the reaction to my video, using GURPS books with other systems seems to be a popular move. With their approachable layout, attention to detail, and huge variety of themes, GURPS setting books are fantastic resources for any roleplaying game! And it's easier to get some of the older ones than ever before, with over 120 titles so far in the GURPS On Demand series.

April 10, 2023: CARnage Printable Cars And Weapons Available On Warehouse 23, Plus Tiny Cars!

Our CARnage Kickstarter launched at the end of last year and was a runaway success; backers unlocked over two dozen stretch goals! We ended up with a huge variety of 3-D printable STL files for cars, weapons, and accessories to customize your Car Wars Sixth Edition games.

For me, an unexpected standout was the addition of tiny cars – we discovered after the campaign that when the sculpts are printed at 33% scale, they fit perfectly onto the chits from classic Car Wars! Playing with models breathes new life into an old favorite.

Because they're so small, you can print a lot of these fast. And they're wickedly fun to paint, if you can resist the urge to eat them! Or maybe that's just me . . . mmm, forbidden jelly beans. April 8, 2023: A Game And Vinyl Record Set In 2023?

I've mentioned Kid Koala before (way back in 2015), and now I'm excited to direct your attention to the latest Kid Koala album: Creatures of the Late Afternoon! This vinyl record (now up for pre-orders) is a fun entry in the world of games as the packaging itself doubles as a boardgame.

April 6, 2023: Choose Cthulhu Kickstarter Closes Today!

Choose Cthulhu has taken Kickstarter by storm, and today is your last chance to back it! Be the main character in a first-person horror solitaire game based on the classic works of H.P. Lovecraft.
