February 25, 2022: 1980s Car Wars Bundles Now Available

We've all heard the stories or, worse still, lived the tale: "My mom threw it all out when I left home." There's no end to the number of times this woeful anecdote has echoed in our lives, and usually all we can do is offer a word of support and hope that the long-lost treasure will somehow resurface in the future.

For fans of the classic Car Wars game of the eighties, those sad stories now have a happy ending as we have released all four retro-reprint bundles at Warehouse 23. February 24, 2022: Visiting New Friends At Turbo Dork

One benefit of being headquartered in a city like Austin is our many gaming neighbors, and new ones arrive all the time. Some of our most recent acquaintances are Turbo Dork, who relocated to the Austin/Buda area, and we were fortunate enough to get a chance to check out the office. We met with Meredith and Greg, the co-founders, as well as the team of Jordan and Greg, and learned more about the production process, as well as their creative processes. Steve had a chance to nerd out about 3D printing, a hobby journey he's been sharing on the Daily Illuminator.

Turbo Dork specializes in color shifting and metallic paints, and have provided some for us to try out in the studio. I've actually used them on #SJGamesLive to paint a Car Wars Sixth Edition car during our hobby streams, and I've had great experiences with them on my own projects at home. If you want a unique look to your miniatures, you should definitely check them out. Keep an eye out for more of their paints on future hobby streams as well (did someone say The Fantasy Trip: Foes ?).

February 22, 2022: Steve Jackson's Munchkin Presents Batman Unboxing & Interview!

Na na na na na na na na . . . Munchkin ! I mean Batman! I mean . . . Steve Jackson's Munchkin Presents Batman ! That's right, Gotham City is coming to the world of Munchkin in our upcoming Kickstarter project. Play as a cadre of classic villains like The Joker, The Riddler, and Catwoman (eight villains in total) and commit Crimes to gain levels, befuddling Batman along the way to get to level 10 and win! Of course, you'll be able to hire an Accomplice and equip multitudes of weapons and armor to complete your nefarious deeds.

Over on #SJGamesLive we had the opportunity to get a sneak peek at some of the cards and mechanics with an unboxing by Steve Jackson, along with a quick Q&A. February 21, 2022: Pre-Order Munchkin Petting Zoo!

The newest exhibit is open at the zoo, and it may bite the hand that pets it. Munchkin Petting Zoo brings 30 wild Door and Treasure cards to add to any version of Munchkin , focusing on furry and feathered friends . . . and enemies. Some classic mechanics make a return as well. Steeds like the Pack Alpaca will help you lug around more loot, and you can now have a little animal Ally to help out in combat!

This expansion features the art of Katie Cook, the artist behind Munchkin Tails , Munchkin Kittens , and M unchkin Puppies  –and much more! I mentioned that this set will mix with any Munchkin game, but I will say that the world of animal-centric Munchkin games is growing, and these games just sit up and beg to be mixed together. February 20, 2022: Crowdfunding Focus: The Tremendous Tome Of Decorating Dungeons

Dungeons are an important part of many fantasy roleplaying games, and for those of you who use miniatures in your campaigns, there is little as awesome and fun as a great dungeon layout. Constructing a dungeon can be challenging, so I'm always looking for tips, tricks, and suggestions on how to build a better dungeon layout. That's why it took only a few moments after spotting The Tremendous Tome of Decorating Dungeons on Kickstarter to choose to support the campaign. A book about what dungeon tools are out there – as well as designing and painting dungeons – wasn't something I could skip.

As of this writing, the campaign has not met its funding goal, so it is unclear whether or not the project will succeed. If you're a fan of 3D dungeon layouts, I suggest checking out the Kickstarter page today and joining in if you like the look of the work. Your support may very well be what pushes this book to the finish line and success.

We've released several STL miniatures at our online store, Warehouse 23, including this set of a dozen skeletons. Designed for 3D printing at home, these new minis are from the Foes Kickstarter campaign that came to a close last month. The future is great for minis fans, giving you the opportunity to print as many miniatures as you may need for your next adventure.
