May 25, 2022: SJ Games Not Attending Gen Con & Origins

Steve Jackson Games has made the decision to stay home from Gen Con and Origins this year. While we love to see you all, after a PAX enforcer's death after PAX East, as well as our own staff catching COVID after multiple shows this year already, and the count of cases rising again nationwide, we just couldn't justify it this year. 

Plans are already in motion to return next year, and we're hoping to continue to produce show content digitally as well. Plus, we've still got a full slate of projects for the latter half of the year for everyone to check out, so stay tuned here or subscribe to our newsletter to keep up to date. We appreciate everyone's understanding, and we'll see you in 2023!

Rodney is a pro at teaching games in video format, and we know not everyone learns the same way. Some folks love reading the rules, some would prefer being read to; this video is a great way to get a concise and clear explanation without having to pore over the rules.

May 18, 2022: Pathfinder Revolution! Crowdfunding Campaign

Later this summer, we're take the new edition of Revolution! -- which has been unavailable for too many years – to crowdfunding as Pathfinder Revolution! This newest edition starts with the core Revolution! game as the base and then picks our favorite bits from the expansions to create the ultimate version of the game.

We're crowdfunding this new edition and have a single stretch goal that, if unlocked, prints the bid boards and gameboards double-sided. If the stretch goal is unlocked, the game may be played as a three or four player event, or you can flip the bid boards and game board over for the five or six player experience!

So that we're as ready as possible, we've already worked with the factory to create test copies of Pathfinder Revolution! By taking this step early, and completing all of the design and development work before launching the crowdfunding campaign, we minimize the risk of project delays. If the project succeeds and the stretch goal is unlocked, then we'll be in a position to call the factory and say "print it!" with no extra work needed by our creative team.

Our latest Kickstarter project,  Knightmare Chess Variants and Optional Rules , has successfully funded and today is your last day to join in the project. This A6-sized collection of variants and optional rules for use with the newest edition of Knightmare Chess is being printed in the US – and we've already seen the test prints! – and we're on track to deliver the campaign rewards on schedule.

In the future, once we have shipped the Kickstarter rewards, we'll list the PDF and print edition of this new booklet at our online store, Warehouse 23. Right now, our focus is on the crowdfunding project and taking what steps we can to ship the project rewards on schedule.
