Creation/Evolution Debate!

It's uncommon to see creation/evolution debates being conducted anymore. Back in the '70s and '80s, people like Dr. Duane Gish were very active in presenting the creation side in large meeting halls. But the word spread in the evolutionist community: don't debate the creationists. You see, evolutionists would often admit that the creationists usually won the debates, and, thus, the attitude became: why give them a public platform and some credibility?

We're pleased to report that Dr. Andy...

Global Food Crisis Day

The National Religious Broadcasters (we are an NRB member) sent us the following news item. As we think about the tens of thousands of people who died in the Haitian earthquake of last week, we should also be reminded that several thousand children perish each day around the world from hunger and malnutrition. The NRB news item (excerpted here) states:

Compassion International will sponsor "Global Food Crisis Day" on February 10, 2010. This important day will be devoted to highlighting the...

Atheists Responding to Meaningless Atheism

Last week I blogged twice about the topic of atheism and meaninglessness. One blog post was centered around the international atheist convention to be held in Melbourne, Australia, this year, and the other concerned getting "down to earth" about meaningless atheism in the light of the atheist blogosphere going ballistic after responding to my post on the upcoming convention. For this blog post, I decided to excerpt comments from various atheist websites to let you experience for...

From Tragedy to Testimony

The testimony he shares all across the country—including on national TV (see www.cnn.com/2008/US/09/10/rogers/index.html)—is on one hand a very sad one, but ends with a triumphant message. In 2003, Robert Rogers  lost his wife and four children in a Kansas flash flood which swept their van off a highway and they drowned. Countless media interviews and a book (now in its 6th printing) have given him the opportunity to share his testimony in so many settings. See

Meaningless Atheism Hits a Touchy Spot!

This past week, I wrote a short blog entry about the international atheist convention to be held in my homeland, Australia, this year, and commented that atheism is ultimately a meaningless philosophy.  See previous blog.  Well—that hit a touchy spot with many atheists, many of whom went ballistic on their blogs over my statements.  So let's just consider the down-to-earth practicalities of an atheist philosophy.

If one is an atheist, and does not believe in the supernatural, and believes...

New Creation Geology Book Set Now Available

Earths Catastrophic #8FA323 Earths Catastrophic #8FA32D

I am thrilled to announce that Dr. Andrew Snelling's long-awaited, highly detailed geology book—destined to be a creationist classic—entitled Earth's Catastrophic Past (Volumes 1 & 2) is now available through AiG's online bookstore.

I consider Andrew the world's leading creation geologist. I first met him over 30 years ago in the early days of the founding of the creation ministry in Australia (which began in our home in Brisbane). At the time, Andrew lived in Sydney—he received his PhD in...

From Jerusalem—and Bethlehem—with Love

Here is a special announcement all the way from Jerusalem—from ministry friend Tom Meyer. Tom spoke to our Israel tour group last April (where he recited the entire Book of Revelation—from memory!); later when he was in America (this past August), he did the Book of James from memory for our staff.

Shalom from Jerusalem. I wanted to let you know that Sarah and I are now engaged. I asked her in Bethlehem on Christmas Eve. We plan to wed in 17 months. Her parents gave their blessings, and I...

A Meaningless Atheist Convention

An atheist website is publicizing a major atheist convention in Australia this year. It states:

The 2010 Global Atheist Convention Melbourne, Australia 12–14 March at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition . . . . The 2010 Global Atheist Convention will be the biggest ever atheist event in Australia's history. This is your chance to hear world-class atheist speakers, and meet Australian and internationally acclaimed atheists, skeptics, humanists, rationalists and academics in one of...

Yes—Walking to the Creation Museum

Yesterday's special guest here at the Creation Museum walked 1,500 miles to get here! Let me explain.

Museum member Daniel Johnson of Colorado is walking across America. He started in northern Maine. Along the way he is boldly sharing his Christian faith. He made sure that his walk to San Diego, California, would take him past the Creation Museum. As a museum member, this is a highlight of his cross-country walk. He had already visited the museum before it was finished (on a "behind the...

ABC's Nightline News Program Here

Last week, a film crew for the evening TV news program Nightline on ABC was here–doing a story on the film Creation (which is really about evolution–it's a drama on Darwin's life), which opens in U.S. theaters on January 22. It had a run in UK theaters during "The Year of Darwin" (2009 was the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth).

In light of the Creation film, ABC wanted to get our perspective on Darwin's life and how controversial he was. The interview lasted 25 minutes, and then the crew...
