Nightline TV and Creation

To watch Monday evening's 6-minute segment in which I was interviewed at the CreationMuseum (including many scenes of the museum) on Nightline ABC-TV regarding the new evolutionist movie drama entitled Creation—go to:

The Impact of the Message

We continue to receive feedback concerning the impact of the AiG resources and Creation Museum as God has blessed—such as this one:

We are thrilled to be a part of the giving for the museum.  As charter members...

"What We Are Doing Counts!"

From time to time I like to share testimonies with you that come into our offices—here is one from this week:

For the past three years, I have been going to a men's Bible study . . . . We have a great deal of spiritual harmony in this group. On any given Saturday, we may have 10 different churches represented. We take turns leading and teaching.

On a week, right before Christmas, that I was leading—I chose to play the Already Gone DVD to let the guys in our group understand a bit more about...

A Special Tribute to a Special Lady

This week has been a week of tears and rejoicing for many staff at Answers in Genesis. Longtime friend of the ministry, Sheila Selby, was called into the presence of her Lord on Monday, January 25, at 2:30 p.m from complications of open heart surgery.

Here is what one of our staff members, Vicki Eggert (who knew Sheila well), sent to me:

Coming to Christ at 45 years of age, Sheila's spirit was filled with a contagious love and joy for her Lord, the Chief Designer, and His creation. Her...

Creation Sunday—February 14

Visiting recently at the Creation Museum with his family—for the fourth time—was Tony Breeden. Tony heads up a creationist ministry in West Virginia (where I am today—speaking at Appalachian Bible College, which includes an open-to-the-public talk Thursday evening) , and one of his outreaches (a national one) is to involve churches in something called Creation Sunday. Find out more about his unique ministry (he is also a very good speaker) at www.creationletter.com.

Creation Sunday (February 1...

Summer Dreaming at Wintertime

As most people around the country have been scrapping ice off their windshields or shoveling snow off their sidewalk, they (you?) may be dreaming of warmer weather and your summer vacation.

Now is a great time to make reservations for our Defending the Faith 2010 family conference. Join us for four days of apologetics teaching and family fun in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The conference dates are July 19–22, 2010, and will feature speakers such as Dr. Voddie Baucham, Dr. Herb S...

The Avatar "Spiritual Experience"

Last week my wife and I—and AiG's Dr. Jason Lisle and Dan Lietha—decided (as we are all somewhat science fiction fans) to watch the new movie Avatar. We were interested in two things:

The special effects used
The underlying message(s) of the movie

The lead article on AiG's website today (Monday) is our review of this movie. I believe our differing backgrounds resulted in a unique, informative, and powerful review that I would encourage you all to read—and ,of course, we wanted to ensure we h...

Missed Them by That Much

It's happened again: visitors coming to the Creation Museum and asking if I'm in town, and then hearing that I flew out that morning to speak in their area back home for a seminar—in fact, speaking at the church they used to attend!  Justin and Bridget Ryan from Upland, California packed up their five children and started out on the trip of a lifetime.  Their goal: to visit all fifty states, with the Creation Museum as the high point of their journey. Driving a 38-foot motor home, the Ryans h...

Laudation from Louisiana

Visit by John Yeats of the Louisiana Baptist Convention

Here are excerpts from an excellent article written by Dr. John Yeats, a board member with the Louisiana Baptist Convention (Southern Baptist) and its Director of Communications, on his visit to our Creation Museum; it appeared in their church newspaper for the state (mailed to 45,000 households):

When Louisiana Baptist families make out their list of 'must see' attraction for 2010, there is a new attraction that has educational and...

AiG Booklets Available in Haitian Creole

In a previous blog post, I wrote about (and posted some photographs of) AiG materials that had been translated into Haitian Creole—the main language in Haiti. We were concerned for the missionary who translated these materials and who lives in Haiti and what was happening concerning his ministry in the aftermath of the recent massive earthquake there. Matthew wrote and told us he is fine and also sent the following:

Thanks for lifting us up to the throne of grace in our time of need. God is...

Viewpoint Discrimination

A left-leaning, generally anti-Christian newspaper called CityBeat (described on Wikipedia as "an independent local arts and issues publication in Cincinnati, Ohio") recently published an article entitled: "Separation Between News Reporting and Opinion Is Like Church and State." The article basically dealt with what this writer believes media should or should not cover. In one paragraph, he slammed our local Cincinnati Enquirer newspaper for its coverage of the opening of the Creation...
