Surprise Museum Visitor

One of the so-called "angry atheists" visited the Creation Museum last week–social/political commentator and bestselling author Christopher Hitchens. The author of "God is Not Great" (a hard-hitting book that takes a shot at all theistic religions—it remains very popular), he spent about 45 minutes inside the Creation Museum. I was in California at the time, and so Mark Looy (after someone spotted him inside the Creation Museum) welcomed Hitchens and asked if he wanted to engage any of our...

Archaeology and the Bible

I wanted to let you know more about a biblical archaeology ministry called ABR (Associates for Biblical Research).  ABR exists to use the field of archaeology to confirm the historical accounts of the Bible, including the Old Testament. Here is a link that takes you to some of its recent articles: http://www.biblearchaeology.org/research.aspx

Two ABR writers/researchers will be speaking at our national "Defending the Faith" conference near the Great Smoky Mountains in July: Scott Lanser  (ABR ...

Back from Europe

AiG's Mike Riddle returned from the UK last week after a speaking tour as part of the outreach of AiG UK. As a veteran and a Marine, he wanted to visit nearby Normandy (a province in France) to pay tribute to the several thousands of Americans who lost their lives on the beaches of Normandy in June 1944.

Here is a summary of Mike's report:

My wife, Lesley, and I returned from a fruitful tour of the UK, organized by Paul Taylor, Senior Speaker, AiG-UK. During the tour I spoke in churches in...

Demand for Haitian 7 C's Booklet

In January, just a few days before a massive earthquake hit Haiti, I had a blog item about the AiG booklets that are now available in the Haitian Creole language. We've had many requests for the Haitian booklet on the 7 C's of History since it appeared in my blog and in the AiG newsletter.  It is now available online (along with some other articles in the Creole language).  Here is the link:  http://www.answersingenesis.org/ht/ .

Pray that this witnessing booklet will be read by needy...

The Typical Evolutionist Straw Man

This past Saturday at Cornell University, there was a lecture on our Creation Museum.  The university website advertised the event this way:

PRI Director Warren Allmon shares his thoughts after visiting the Creation Museum near Cincinnati. The Museum, which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, is dedicated to the proposition that the Earth is only 6,000-10,000 years old, and all living species were created as we see them today.

Either such evolutionists just don't...

To Albania with Love

Two residents of our Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area will be travelling (with their daughter) to Albania sometime in the next few months to begin a ministry to that former Marxist nation (located north of Greece). Sue and Blair Alvidrez spoke to our staff at our Thursday chapel session (see photos below) and shared about Albania (a nation they have visited many times)—and announced that they had already raised 85% of their missionary support.

AiG supporters who live in our Tri-state area...

Calvin College and USA Today

"USA Today" Mentions Creation Museum in Article on New Evolution Exhibit

On the website of the national newspaper "USA Today," our Creation Museum was cited in a piece about the Smithsonian's new human origins exhibit—full of evolution, of course—that has just opened in Washington DC. In the article, it states that the museum supposedly expected creationist protestors (maybe that's because a few dozen evolutionists protested our museum's opening in 2007)!

A museum official stated, according to ...

On Another Nationally Syndicated Radio Program

Yesterday on my blog, I gave you the opportunity to listen to an interview that Pastor Chuck Smith—founder of the Calvary Chapel church movement around the world—did with me in a southern California studio. Here is another radio program—also nationally syndicated (including through our friends at American Family Radio)—that I wanted to let you know about.

Earlier this month I met up with David Wheaton (former internationally ranked tennis champion), host of a radio program called The...
