Nazarene Professor Responds—Woefully

The president and vice-president of the BioLogos Foundation (founded by Dr. Francis Collins of human genome fame) are two Nazarene college Professors—Darrel Falk and Karl Giberson. You can read their bios on the BioLogos website.

Darrell Falk is a biology professor at Point Loma Nazarene Nazarene University in San Diego. Because I mentioned these two (along with a number of others) in my "State of the Nation" address on Tuesday, Darrell Falk decided to respond on the BioLogos website. First o...

Global Warming in Kentucky?

We are accumulating mountains of snow in the parking lots at the Creation Museum (as are shopping centers, businesses, etc.) because of the large amounts of snowfall we have had recently. This area (Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky) is already above the normal for amount of snow—with more on the way!

It is interesting to see many news items questioning global warming because of the harsh winter across the USA—a few days ago, one news item was reporting that 49 states in the USA had snow (I...

State of the Nation Address Tonight

Tonight (Tuesday, USA time) I will be giving a video webcast from the Answers in Genesis headquarters and the Creation Museum live on www.answerslive.org at 8:00 p.m. EST (USA).

I have had quite a number from my home country of Australia (15 hours ahead of the USA) say they will be watching (at East Coast Australian time, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday). One of our Aussie friends is putting the presentation on a big screen and inviting friends and colleagues over to watch it.

This address has been...

Answers in Genesis Awards Symbolic "Gold Medal" to Canadian Creation Ministry

As the world watches to see which athletes are winning the gold medals at the Olympic Games in Vancouver, British Columbia, Answers in Genesis has symbolically awarded the first Canadian "gold medal" in what we are calling the "fearlessly going into the nation and upholding biblical authority" category. And the recipient is . . . the Creation Science Association of British Columbia (CSABC)—one of the leaders in creation ministry in that very needy country.

These "Canadian Crusaders" have been ...

The Fastest 7C's and a Five Year Old!

During a meet and greet at the Creation Museum last week, I met five-year-old Ethan S. His parents told me he had learned the 7C's of Bible history—which are presented in the museum—by heart. So, I asked him to recite them to me. He then ran through all seven faster than anyone I have ever heard recite them: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, Consummation. Here is a photograph I had taken of Ethan and me:

How I pray we see many more "Ethans" being raised up in a ...

"State of the Nation" Satellite Broadcast

We are gearing up for our special video webcast "State of the Nation" to be shown this Tuesday. Here are two items we have been sending out to the media, which will give you something of an overview of the talk from the Creation Museum.

KEN HAM DELIVERS 'STATE OF THE NATION'

Ken Ham's "State of the Nation" (8 p.m. EST, Tuesday, Feb. 16) will highlight how far the U.S. has wandered from its moral foundations, and will call Christians back to their biblical roots.

Ham will encourage Christians to...

Gospel Light Sadly Misquotes to Defend Sunday School Curricula

Well, there is no doubt that the research conducted by renowned researcher in consumer behavior Britt Beemer of America's Research Group—and published in our best seller Already Gone—is making an impact.

Britt carefully researched why two-thirds of young people are leaving the church. As part of that research, we found out (inadvertently—as we didn't set out to discover this—it came as a result of the questions that were asked) that of those who have left the church, those who attended...

Billboards to Challenge the Nation

Atheists have been very active across the nation sponsoring billboards (including in our area) in an attempt to indoctrinate people to reject belief in God. These people are a small fraction of the population, but they are having some influence.

Christians need to be aggressive in standing up for God's Word—and be much more aggressive in proclaiming God's Word to the culture. Too many people in the church have tried to fight the social issues with man's reasoning/arguments (e.g., insisting o...

Who Said This?

But I also believe our schools are there to teach worldly knowledge and science. I believe in evolution, and I believe there's a difference between science and faith. . . . And I think it's a mistake to try to cloud the teaching of science with theories that frankly don't hold up to scientific inquiry. (York Daily Record, March 2008; Pennsylvania newspaper).

And Who Said This?

My expectation is that when you look back on these years . . . . You will see a time in which we as a nation finally...
