Special Visitors at the Creation Museum

Last week we were thrilled to have Dr. Dan Anderson, President of Appalachian Bible College in West Virginia, and his wife, Rosalie, bring a group of students from the college to the Creation Museum. These talented young people made up a bell choir group that gave a wonderful presentation to Creation Museum visitors.

I also had my photograph taken with some of the group in the main hall of the Museum:

Get Your Pastor to Come to "Answers for Pastors"—and to the Creation Museum!

The co-author of The Genesis Flood, renowned scholar Dr. John Whitcomb. will join me at the conference.

As I was reading Dr. John Whitcomb's excellent web article on our homepage last Monday, I was reminded that the 50th anniversary of the publication of his co-authored book The Genesis Flood (along with Dr. Henry Morris, founder of the Institute for Creation Research) will be next year. This is a monumental work—perhaps the most important book in the last 50 years in regards to biblical...

Go Get Your Own DNA!

Well, I woke up yesterday morning to news headlines on television (and then seeing many of the same claims in newspaper and web reports) that scientists had supposedly made some sort of life in a laboratory.  For instance, Science News blarred that the scientists used "a made-from-scratch  genome," which was not made "from scratch" at all—the reporter gives a false impression as to what really happened.

Going back a couple of years, in February 2008, AiG commented on this same sort of...

Reaching Pastors

At Answers in Genesis, we reach out to pastors in a number of ways. For instance, usually each month, we run a special pastors' luncheon and Creation Museum tour. I spoke at yesterday's luncheon on the vital importance and relevance of the book of Genesis—and the loss of biblical authority in today's culture. Here is a photo of me (taken on a cell phone) speaking to the pastors:

I also spoke about the Already Gone book research (why two-thirds of young people are leaving the church), as well a...

Canadians for Creation

I want to highlight two creation groups that we have worked with recently in the province of Alberta, Canada.

The first is the CSAA (Creation Science Association of Alberta), led by Dr. Margaret Helder. Based in Edmonton, the CSAA publishes a color newsletter Creation Science Dialogue four times a year, holds special events, etc. See the promo ad below for its October meeting in beautiful Alberta.

See the CSAA website at http://www.create.ab.ca/

Also in Alberta is Creation Truth Ministries in...

Our Mission

For the next two weeks at our morning staff meetings, we will be making various presentations to the AiG staff to remind them, as we do every once in a while, of the mission and teaching of Answers in Genesis.  On Monday, I went through AiG's mission statement to explain it in more detail.  Here is the mission statement:

Goal

To support the church in fulfilling its commission

Vision

Answers in Genesis is a catalyst to bring reformation by reclaiming the foundations of our faith which are found...

Is Groupon Anti-Christian?

Groupon.com is a website that promotes a "deal of the day" where businesses can offer their product or service for at least 50 percent off. Groupon makes its money by taking a significant percentage of the price.

The Creation Museum had signed a contract to advertise to the Cincinnati area, offering our Individual Annual Pass and Family Annual Pass on Groupon.com for one day at 50 percent off.

On the week the advertisement was to appear, Groupon called to inform us that the marketing...

A Video That Changed a Life

Here is a testimony we received recently that once again illustrates how the Lord is using the AiG ministry to change lives:

I would just like to thank you for your ministry with Answers in Genesis. I have been saved since I was at 15 – at age 18 I left the church and by God's grace I came back 5 years ago. Four years ago, I was witnessing to my brother who said "Where are dinosaurs at in the Bible"? That was my roadblock. I went to my pastor who led me to a man named Rex who told me...

Spring at the Creation Museum

There is no doubt that the grounds at Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum glorify our Creator God—one just wants to shout out praises to the Lord when walking through the Creation Museum gardens. Here are some photographs, including a couple taken of the new koi pond:

Don't miss the beautiful gardens during their prime months. For more details, go to the Creation Museum website.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken

Noah's Cafe Gets a Facelift

Noah's Café at the Creation Museum has undergone major renovation to fit more seats and to be more efficient in receiving and completing food orders. Those who have visited previously will be amazed at how big the Café now looks, and how modern with its new computerized ordering system.

Here are some photographs taken during the renovation. Noah's Café should be fully operational again by this Monday.
