1 Millionth Visitor Today!

Probably by the time you have read this blog, the millionth visitor to the Creation Museum will have walked through the door!  I hope to have photographs and information for you tomorrow.  We certainly praise the Lord that the Creation Museum has reached more people in less than 3 years than we thought possible!  All thanks and praise goes to our God and Savior.

More Photographs from Washington Home Educators Conference

I have a few more photos to show you from the homeschool conference where I...

2,500 at Homeschool Conference

During the last two days, I gave seven presentations at a Home Educator's Conference (run by "Christian Heritage") in Seattle. I have included some photographs taken during this well-attended event.

A young girl engrossed in our Dinosaurs for Kids book:

Answering questions from another young girl:

People around the resource tables:

You are never too young to love books from AiG!

Can you guess where they visited recently? (BTW: Seattle is over 2,000 miles from the museum.)

Two photographs taken...

One-millionth Visitor Monday!

The third anniversary of the Creation Museum is still over a month away, but we anticipate welcoming our millionth visitor on Monday. AiG staff have planned a celebration and large gift package for the special guest, and has scheduled a photo-opp and meet-and-greet with me and other AiG leadership.

The Creation Museum opened to the public on May 28, 2007. Attendance ran so strong the first summer that the Creation Museum saw 250,000 guests by October—a number we hadn't expected to see until...

The Rest of the Story—Exposing Misquotes by an Atheist Professor

Recently on the highly trafficked website of The Huffington Post, Dr. Michael Zimmerman (biology professor at Butler University in Indiana), described as founder of the Clergy Letter Project, wrote a commentary for the site's religion section entitled "The Danger of Ignoring Creationism."  In that commentary, he blasts Answers in Genesis, making such statements as "Ham and his lot are clearly extremists."  This comment followed a paragraph that certainly brings...

Earth Day

Environmentalists around the world today are celebrating the 40th anniversary of Earth Day (April 22), where people of all cultures and religious beliefs join the cause of caring for the earth.

Now while Christians agree they are called to be good stewards of the earth's resources, they also caution the activists not to put the creation above the Creator.  We were pleased that we were able to get this message across in the nationwide newspaper USA Today, which stated yesterday (page A3):

Buddy Davis—a "Star" in Canada

Right before the final keynote address I was to give at the Home Educators Conference in Alberta, Canada, this past Saturday, the young people who had been involved in the children's program came into the auditorium to sing to their parents and other families attending the conference.

As I listened to their songs (which they sang with great enthusiasm), I immediately recognized that a number of them were Buddy Davis songs! AiG's Buddy Davis is a songwriter, singer, and dinosaur sculptor....

In Bloom

Right now, the botanical gardens on our Creation Museum grounds are looking great. After being in Alberta, Canada, for a few days, I was amazed on my return yesterday to see how much more colorful it has become on the property. It will get even greener over the next few days and become quite lush—certainly way different to the brown grass and dust we encountered in Alberta.

This is certainly a prime time to visit the museum and walk the grounds. Also, the crowds are not as large as they are...

Creation Conversations—an Exciting New Interactive Website for Creation Ministry

Master Books is the main publisher of creation/apologetics resources in the world—and as a publisher, they take an uncompromising stand on the authority of God's Word beginning in Genesis.  We praise the Lord for raising up such a professional publisher, that takes the same stand as Answers in Genesis, to make so many creation/apologetics resources so readily available.

Master Books has commenced an exciting venture to help creation ministry worldwide.  They sent me and others...

Sneak Preview

For a short blog item today, I thought I would give you a sneak preview of our next series of billboard that will go up around our Cincinnati/northern Kentucky area on certain major interstates that will advertise the Creation Museum:

Outstanding Response in Canada

Last evening, I gave the final keynote address for the Alberta Home Education Conference in Red Deer, Alberta (Canada).  I have never seen such an outstanding response at such a conference before—it was in many ways overwhelming. ...

Overflow Crowd in Canada

Yesterday I gave three presentations (three more today) at the Alberta Home Educators Association conference at the convention center in Red Deer, Canada (about half way between Edmonton and Calgary).  This is one of the largest such Home School conventions in Canada.

An overflow crowd turned up for my first keynote—some people had to stand at the back as there were not enough chairs.  There is no doubt that these Canadians were hungry for this message.  Here is a photo that shows part of the ...
