JWST and Star FormationAn Example of Observational vs. Historical Science

The James Webb Space Telescope continues to make the news as new findings surprise, and even confound, the secular astronomers interpreting the data (remember, facts dont exist by themselves. All facts are interpreted based on ones presuppositions). But what do we make of recent headlines such as, Stunning JWST image proves we were right about how young stars form? (Actually, this is nothing new . . . its just the latest chapter in the same rehashed star-formation story from evol...

I wanted to share a huge thank you todaya thank you to Kathy, the longest-serving employee of Answers in Genesis (other than the three founders: myself, Mark Looy, and Mike Zovath). Kathy headed up our administration department and recently retired after 30 years of serving the AiG ministry.

To say thank you, we had a special retirement dinner for Kathy with her family, friends, and colleagues last Friday evening.

Ministry Update: 3D Printer Farm and Giant Anteaters

Do you have a 3D printer at your home or work? At the Answers in Genesis design studios, where exhibits for the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum are built, we have many 3D printersand we just added more to create a whole farm.

Our talented design team has just added a bank of one hundred 3D printers that will be used in creating the thousands of houses and other buildings for the massive indoor scale model of first-century Jerusalem that is currently in process.

Below, youll see some...

Construction Update: Recreational Building Complete

We praise the Lord that we have housing (known as The Landing) on the Ark Encounter property for seasonal workers, interns, and Answers in Genesis mission outreach (such as the Catalyst program). And were excited to be nearly finished with an upgrade that residents of The Landing will enjoy.

This upgrade is a new recreational building to be used exclusively for our interns, seasonal staff, and temporary staff during their time living at The Landing. It will be a place where they can have fun,...

New Herptile Habitat Opens at the Ark Encounter

We have some new faces at the Ark Encounters Ararat Ridge Zoo! We just opened a new South American herptile (amphibian and reptile) habitat, located across from our popular sloth habitat. Youll love meeting two South American giants: Chewlius Caesar the northern caiman lizard and Wrangler the green anaconda.

Now, theyre not quite giants yet. Chewlius is only a year old, and Wrangler is about seven months old. But Chewlius may grow up to 4 feet long, and Wrangler may grow up to 10 feet l...

The GospelShared at NASA!

Earlier this month I wrote a blog about the launch of the Starliner to the International Space Station because the captain of the historic voyage is a big friend of Answers in GenesisCaptain Barry Butch Wilmore. Well, I wanted to share two more videos from Captain Wilmore with you.

This first video is a short clip from the Starliner, showing Captain Wilmore shining a light out the window of the capsule. Oh, and you can tell the earth is not flat!

And I thought youd also enjoy this vid...

Does a New Gospel Fragment Detail Jesus Childhood?

You may have seen the headlinesDetails about Jesuss childhood revealed in 2,000-year-old manuscript. According to reports, this manuscript (a copy of an already established writing) details Jesus performing miracles as a child, such as when the five-year-old Messiah is said to have turned clay pigeons into live birds to avoid getting in trouble for working on the Sabbath. How should Christians think about this find?

Well, this text is not biblicalit was written several decad...

A Little Life Saved Through Fearfully & Wonderfully Made

Tomorrow marks the two-year anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson decision, the historic SCOTUS case that overturned the bloodstained Roe v. Wade decision of 1973, handing the decision regarding the legality of abortion back to the states. While this certainly didnt end abortion in America (many statesbut not allhave ensured it continues), it has saved lives, and it corrected an evil ruling. And for this we rejoice! And I thought it made the perfect opportunity to share a tear-jerking st...

Bringing the Bible to Life: The Modern Methods of Answers in Genesis

Martyn wanted to share the following with our readers in this months update:

Answers in Genesis delivers content to people in ways that are impactful and transformative. That means we must choose the content that can actually change peoples hearts and minds and ensure we are delivering it to them in all the ways they commonly consume information.

The content in question ultimately does not change. It is the Word of God. That said, it is possible for the culture to change in such a way that ...

Plants of the Bible Arrive at Creation Museum Conservatory, Kentuckys Largest

Theyve arrived!

At the Creation Museum, were building a complex of four glass greenhouses and a courtyard that will house a special collection of plants of the Bible. It will be a self-guided walkthrough, finishing at a plant with many thorns that could have been the variety used to construct the crown of thorns placed on Jesus head during the trial preceding his crucifixion. This plant will be featured as part of a special presentation of the gospel as a climax of the tour.

There will a...
