Thousands Hear AiG Messages in Florida

Dr. Jason Lisle and I spoke to 10–11,000 people over the course of three days at Idlewild Baptist Church in Lutz (near Tampa), Florida, this past Friday through Sunday.  The positive responses and testimonies were overwhelming. Here are some photographs taken during the conference:

Out of the Mouths of Humans . . .

If you have never seen this video clip (and provided you can stomach watching the dissection of an animal), you will be fascinated by the remarks of this scientist as he explains the internal workings of a giraffe.  But then at the end, there is an interesting "slip." (The clip was put together by Todd Friel of Wretched Radio;  Todd of course supports the AiG ministry.)

AiG Books in China

The message and books of AiG have infiltrated the Bamboo Curtain of China where an estimated 130 million Christians live. Books and DVDs were taken into China as AiG ministered there. In an amazing development, AiG books have been placed in the library of  a large university in China.  These books will expose  students to the Word of God and to the Creator God.

Unified . . . High Energy … Clever Ways … Balanced …

These are some of the terms that were used in feedback we received about our...

Worldviews in Conflict—Great Illustrations

A few months ago, I was the keynote speaker for a homeschool conference in Richmond, Virginia.  After the conference, the organizers sent us the hundreds of feedback forms.  By far, the majority were very positive, but as can be expected, there were some (a very small number) who reacted negatively to my presentations on the accuracy and authority of the Bible beginning in Genesis.  One such reaction illustrates the conflict between two worldviews—those who are committed to standing on God's ...

Answers for Women

We have a new outreach at AiG called Answers for Women.  This involves many things, including women's Bible conferences led by Dr. Georgia Purdom of our staff. Even though she has a PhD in science (molecular genetics), Dr. Purdom can communicate very effectively at a level that all people can Understand, and she has a heart for bringing the message of biblical authority to women.  She is a marvelous speaker.

On Tuesday morning during our staff chapel, Dr. Purdom shared something about her...

A Sad Day for the Assemblies of God Denomination

The general presbytery of the Assemblies of God (AOG) denomination, in session August 9–11, 2010, adopted a revised statement on "The Doctrine of Creation."  Here is an excerpt from the official AOG position paper, that opens the door to evolution and millions of years, and the various compromise positions on Genesis held by some in the church (such as gap theory, day age, progressive creation, theistic evolution, etc):

The advance of scientific research, particularly in the last few...

Woeful Response from the Church

Last week in my blog and in our News to Note section of the AiG website, we commented on the new book by physicist Stephen Hawking and on associated news reports which stated Hawking had concluded that "God had no role in the creation of the universe."

News reports are now appearing that are quoting religious leaders and others in England reacting to Hawking's new book. Even though I realize one can't always trust newspaper reporting, the quotes in the articles do represent what I have read...

Museum Talk

Because the Creation Museum has become well-known globally because of countless articles appearing in the international media (recent visits by correspondents from Brazil and Denmark attest to this, and there was even a writer here on Friday who has authored articles for the well-known Rolling Stone magazine), it's not surprising that columnists, bloggers, web commentators, and others are trying to counter the generally positive museum reports with attacks on the Creation Museum. On one...

A Service to Your Pastor

Most of you reading this blog post will have already attended your church on Sunday morning. Here's an idea for you: send an email to your pastor to express your appreciation for his ministry to you (and your whole congregation), and then please consider sending him a link to our site for our national conference for pastors, Answers for Pastors.

In less than three weeks, we will be holding our first-ever national conference for Christian leaders. It will be hosted here in the...

In the News Again

I wanted to let you know that it's possible this weekend that your local newspaper will be carrying an article on our Creation Museum. A piece has been written for The Religion News Service—which functions something like the Associated Press News Service—and it is now being distributed to papers (and websites), leaving it up to local editors and webmasters whether they will use it.Here are the first few paragraphs of the RNS article. We appreciate such coverage, though there were some minor t...
