"I'd Love to Baptise an Alien"

This is the headline (preserving the British spelling of the word baptize) from a newspaper article about a scientist associated with the Vatican.

First, let's go back to 2008. At that time, the United Kingdom's The Independent newspaper featured an article that began with the following:

Pope's astronomer insists alien life 'would be part of God's creation'

By Peter Popham in Rome  Thursday, 15 May 2008

The Vatican's official newspaper has endorsed the possibility that the universe could contain...

From Egypt, Australia, Canada, and USA

Around 450 pastors and their wivesand other Christian leaders—began AiG's special pastors' conference yesterday. We were thrilled to have participants from Australia (the states of Victoria and Queensland), Canada, and Egypt.

Here is a photographic record of the day:

The facility (Lakeside Christian Church, which is just 20 minutes from the Creation Museum).

I am giving the keynote presentation.

The audience.

Outside the church.

I am talking with pastors.

The resources were very popular.

Is Our Moral Code Out of Date?

In a recent opinion piece on the CNN website, which is entitled "Our moral code is out of date," the authors attempt to convince people that our moral code is out of date; the authors are obviously anti-Christian and use fallacious arguments and false associations. (They are described as,  "Yaron Brook is president of the Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights and a columnist at Forbes.com; Onkar Ghate is a senior fellow at the center. Brook is one of the speakers at The Economist's 'Ideas...

AiG Partnering

AiG's ever-growing media-related outreaches—including our daily Answers radio program, web feeds, magazine, and videos for TV—are accomplished to varying degrees with the partnership of other ministries. Over the years we have been blessed by many excellent relationships with individuals who also have a strong heart to reach and train people worldwide—not only through personal interaction, but also through various mass media where that makes good sense.

Each fall for the last several years...

Family Fishing Night on the Museum Grounds

If you're a Creation Museum member (that includes annual pass holders), we're happy to let you know that we continue to add more benefits to your membership.

On Friday, October 8, we're planning an event just for members. As the museum is closing at 6 PM, members are invited to stick around and enjoy a time of fishing on our three-acre lake, picnicking in the gardens, and taking a ride on our petting zoo's camel (Gomer).  Then we'll get some campfires going.

It gets even better. There is no...

Direct Answers: AiG DVD and Changed Lives

Rick Faison is the president of the Philadelphia Society for Creation Science in Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Vicki, visited our Creation Museum last month. He wrote us later with a wonderful account of how AiG DVDs are being such a blessing to the young people he reaches out to in his area.

I spoke with two high school seniors who attended our College and Career seminar (I did the apologetics portion). Both profess a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ .. .what impressed them the...

Free Digital Downloads

Would you like a free creation video, audio, or chart every week? About two months ago, we started offering a free digital download of a popular AiG resource every time we send our weekly Super Specials emails. This is a special email that friends of the ministry typically sign up for while visiting the AiG website or attending one of our speaker events. Since we started including a link to these free downloads, we've had some very positive and interesting responses from subscribers. Here's o...

From the Dinosaur Dig

Buddy Davis, other AiG staff, and participants are currently at a dinosaur dig in Montana.  Here is a short report from them:

This is Beth Guich from California who thought the dinosaur dig in Montana would be a great birthday present for her 70-year-old mom, Mary Pientka. You can tell by the smile on mom's face that being a paleontologist for a week wasn't such a bad idea!

Long Island, New York, is a long way for these two fathers to bring their boys for a very entertaining and educational...

Assemblies of God Denomination Responds . . . but What Does It Really Mean?

Recently, I wrote a blog post in which I detailed what I declared was a change that had occurred in the Assemblies of God (AG) denomination's "Doctrine of Creation" statement. Last month, the AG, based in Springfield, Missouri, released this document as an update of its 1977 creation statement.

For reference purposes, here are the two official AG position papers:

I Am an Atheist . . . But

We do receive a lot of interesting feedback at Answers in Genesis.  You will enjoy this one:

I am an atheist but I just wanted to show my appreciation for your cause.

You are absolutely correct that if anyone wants to be a "true"  Christian, they should be looking at the Bible and reading exactly what  it says. Christians who believe in "theistic evolution" or in the 4.5 billion-year-old Earth are not following the Bible correctly at all. The  Bible clearly indicates in Genesis that the Earth...
