Some of my Favorite BDSM Stock Sites for Stories

These are the normal places I frequent for my kinky, fun BDSM research for my short stories, novella's, and novels. I figured it would be helpful to use for other writers or other dabblers in the BDSM game.

The Stockroom : They have some of the coolest sex furniture and a wide selection of floggers, whips, canes, paddles, and other tools.

BDSM Gear : This is a great site mainly because the models are all different sizes--real sizes--and they have a lot of the more mainstream, less hardcore options for my research.

BDG Sales : There hardware section offers some imaginative alternatives to basic restraint and they offer more durable, comfy cuffs than the basic models.

SexAndMetal: This site it just pretty.

What I'm Reading: Cruise Edition

This is what I'm currently reading in the lap of luxury on my extended balcony stateroom with the sun shining down on me while the waves lap at the side of the boat. Ahhh...can you feel it? So. Good. Yay for vacation!

Riveted by Meljean Brook:

A century after a devastating volcanic eruption forced Iceland’s inhabitants to abandon its shores, the island has become enshrouded in legend. Fishermen tell tales of giant trolls guarding the land and of seductive witches who steal men’s hearts. But the truth behind the legends is mechanical, not magic—and the mystery of the island a matter of life and death for a community of women who once spilled noble blood to secure their freedom.
Five years ago, Annika unwittingly endangered that secret, but her sister Källa took the blame and was exiled. Now Annika serves on the airship Phatéon, flying from port to port in search of her sister and longing to return home . . . but that home is threatened when expedition leader David Kentewess comes aboard.
Determined to solve the mystery of his own origin, David will stop at nothing to expose Annika’s secrets. But when disaster strikes, leaving David and Annika stranded on a glacier and pursued by a madman, their very survival depends on keeping the heat rising between them—and generating lots of steam . . .

The Glass Castle by Jeanette Wells:

Millions of readers have been transformed by Jeannette Walls’s award-winning memoir of resilience amid a deeply dysfunctional childhood. When sober, Jeannette’s brilliant and charismatic father captured his children’s imagination, teaching them physics, geology, and how to embrace life fearlessly. But when he drank, he was dishonest and destructive. Her mother was a free spirit who abhorred the idea of domesticity and didn’t want to responsibility of raising a family.

The Walls children learned to take care of themselves. They fed, clothed, and protected one another, and eventually found their way to New York. Their parents followed them, choosing to be homeless even as their children prospered. The Glass Castle is truly astonishing and poised to stand the test of time.

MetalMark by Ella Drake:

Revenge may kill her...but love may kill them all.

Prince to a dying planet, Lye the Keeper has made a deal with the devil. For the price of his blood, the Drianti Syndicate offer a seat on their council...and put the end to their decade-long occupation of his planet within his grasp. Working with the Syndicate feels like betraying everything he's worked for these last ten years, but it pales in comparison to the pain of his monthly mating imperative.

The red-haired temptress who lands in his path holds the key to Lye's freedom--and an end to his pain--but the price is too high. Touching her would defile the royal line that ends with him. The lure to possess her, however, proves irresistible.

Privateer Jazzelina Eval will do anything to bring down the Syndicate, anything from robbing spaceships to kidnapping a prince. Anything but settle down and give up the revenge game. Or bed a mark who's made a deal with her enemy. But once she has Lye in her hands, she can't let him go...even if the price of keeping him is war.

Deeper by Megan Hart:

Twenty years ago she had her whole life spread out before her. She was Bess Walsh, a freshly scrubbed middle-class student ready to conquer the design world. And she was taken. Absolutely and completely. But not by Andy, her well-groomed, intellectual boyfriend who hinted more than once about a ring. No—during that hot summer as a waitress and living on the beach, she met Nick, the local bad boy. He was, to put it mildly, not someone she could take home to Daddy.Instead, Nick became her dirty little secret—a fervent sexual accomplice who knew how to ignite an all-consuming obsession she'd had no idea she carried deep within her.Bess had always wondered what happened to Nick after that summer, after their promise to meet again. And now, back at the beach house and taking a break from responsibility, from marriage, from life, she discovers his heartbreaking fate—and why he never came back for her. Suddenly Nick's name is on her lips…his hands on her thighs…dark hair and eyes called back from the swirling gray of purgatory's depths.Dead, alive, or something in between, they can't stop their hunger. She wouldn't dare.

The Space Between Us by Megan Hart:

Tesla Martin is drifting pleasantly through life, slinging lattes at Morningstar Mocha, enjoying the ebb and flow of caffeine-starved customers, devoted to her cadre of regulars. But none of the bottomless-cup crowd compares with Meredith, a charismatic force of nature who can coax intimate tales from even the shyest of Morningstar's clientele.
Caught in Meredith's sensual, irresistible orbit, inexpressibly flattered by the siren's attention, Tesla shares long-buried chapters of her life, holding nothing back. Nothing Meredith proposes seems impossible—not even Tesla sleeping with Meredith's husband, Charlie, while she looks on. After all, it's all in fun, isn't it?In a heartbeat, vulnerable Tesla is swept into a spectacular love triangle. Together, gentle, grounded Charlie and sparkling, maddening Meredith are everything Tesla has ever needed, wanted, or dreamed of, even if no one else on earth understands. They're three against the world. But soon one of the vertices begins pulling away until only two points remain—and the space between them gapes with confusion, with grief and with possibility….

Cruise and Writing Cave

Soon I will be embarking on my first cruise with a very good friend of mine. To say I'm nervous doesn't cut it, but I'm also beyond excited. We'll be stopping at Disney World along the way. Trivia fact--Disney World is like my favorite place on earth--ever. I think we decided we're going to spend the majority of our day at Epcot. Then it's onward to the Bahamas!

Before I go on vacation there is the working madness known as Ultimate Writer's Cave 2012 where I struggle to finish up all my projects before I leave for the week in the hopes that nothing will bother me while I'm gone. I have little hope that nothing will, in fact bother me, but I have to try for sanity's sake.

Which means diving into the final chapter rewrites of Furious Lust. Because I'm reworking the whole ending. Because I'm out of my ever-loving mind. Plus the manuscript gathered a little word count on the way here--like 25k more. My little novella is slowly sprouting into a novel. Whoops. Luckily, it looks like it will be that way for all the books in the series.

I've got Book 2 (Furious Cravings) in the pipeline with the majority of the basic plot down on paper so I can hop and skip along writing it without knowing how to go from Point A to Point B. For some reason, I have to plot for paranormal books. Throws my whole system out the window. Normally my plotting skills end at the plot bunnies that hop through my head. So writing a whole set of full length books with a world bible and plotting? Oh, it's not the comfy goodness I'm used to at all.

Book 3 (Furious Temptation) is following suet with an awesome plot slowly unfolding inside my mind, but it's going a lot more slowly then the second book. It's expected, but I'm still trying to eek out all three books before July 2013. Because I'm insane.

On the upside--I've got a new release. Behold:
This little ditty--well, big ditty--there are twenty stories in this sucker, houses my short story, Box. Here's the blurb for said story:

It probably wasn’t prudent for a corporate executive who works in the upper floors of a skyscraper to be afraid of elevators. But Lanie Fox did have kick-ass legs. When Charlie Wright, a sarcastic, sinfully sexy coworker, corners her after an awful meeting she’s determined to prove him wrong about her crippling fear inside the death trap. His promise to distract her involves more than his annoying commentary. In fact, his tongue isn’t doing a whole lot of talking. But they manage to find many uses for it – and Lanie’s fear melts away in lieu of his less than conversational convincing.

You can get my new anthology HERE. And any other third party sites where e-books are sold such as All Romance E-books, Amazon, B&N, etc. Read, drink, and be merry, my friends. I know for the next week I will be!

POW/MIA Hop Sept 18th-22nd

This is a more serious blog hop than what typical faire I normally offer up here. This particular effort is to support prisoners of war overseas and those soldiers missing in action. Either way, the purpose is to bring them back to their families using all means necessary. All comments on this blog post will be reported back to the main host of the hop who has promised to donate two dollars per comment to the POW/MIA fund.

Personally, I don't have any experience with the military, nor does my family. But my husband's family comes from a long line of duty. And to respect that side of my family, I figured it was only right to add my two cents to this hop. As another further incentive to comment, I'm doing a little giveaway. My contest will run from the length of the hop the 18th-22nd and every comment will be entered into a random drawing to win a copy of the Xcite anthology Pleasure Me featuring many well-loved authors of the erotica and erotic romance genre. At 20 stories long with stories ranging from 1.5 to 4k long, this is quite the introduction to new and well versed authors of my genre.

I think we could all use a little more pleasure in our lives, especially those taking on the good fight and lost without a way home. Thanks for sticking around for the somberness, we'll be back to regularly scheduled hijinks after the 22nd. Please comment and lets get some donations going, shall we? Winners for the book will be announced on Sept 23rd. Please follow the hop accordingly, if you'd like and thank you for your support and for stopping by!

New Release Cover Showdown

I've got a lot of new releases coming up in the future and I've got some pretty, pretty covers to showcase!

This Xcite lesbian erotica anthology has my story Sealed in it.

This naughty Xcite anthology with sex in the workplace as the main focus has my story Box in it.

And this last, but not least, Cleis Short-Short anthology will have my story Crawling Through Temptation in it.

I have other good news coming your way as soon as I get a contract in my hot little hands so stay tuned for release dates and all that good stuff. Still waiting on eight other submissions and putting the finishing touches on the extensive revisions of Furious Lust. It's looking like my once little paranormal novel that could is getting another 15k added to it. At least. Will have the first book ready to go and turned in to my editor at Secret Cravings Publishing by the end of October. And then I have to get started on writing Book 2 in the series! Busy, busy, busy next couple of months! Good vibes that I keep my sanity, guys and dolls!

Lucy Felthouse's Guest Post

Today I've got the lovely Lucy Felthouse on my blog talking about writing, her new anthology, and other goodies that twirl around in her awesome brain. Welcome her with open arms and happy snaps, guys and dolls.

1     Why did you get started writing?I honestly can't answer that. I've been writing ever since I could, and when I was at University I was dared to write an erotic piece. I started to consider publication, started submitting things and was accepted. From then on, I've been addicted. I can't stop!2       What was the first real joy you had when writing professionally?Getting published. I'm still excited about each and every acceptance.3      What was/is your biggest pitfall?Being too easily distracted. Though I'm getting much better.4     What did you learn while writing?I'm always learning. I'll never be perfect, but I aim to improve all the time. I read lots, take on board feedback and work hard. It's starting to pay off.5       What’s your favorite sexual position to write? There isn't one. It all depends on the characters, the pairings, the location, the situation, etc.6   What’s your favorite genre to read?Probably erotic romance. But I read all sorts, and I enjoy most genres.7       If you could be one fairytale character for a day who would it be?Snow White. But the dwarves must be hot men.8       Who are your author inspirations?Wow – so many! Portia Da Costa, Saskia Walker and Janine Ashbless were amongst the first erotic authors I discovered, and I love their work. And of course, I'm working hard to become even a fraction as successful as they are.9      Socks or Slippers?Neither.1   Handcuffs or fuzzy tickler?Handcuffs – I hate being tickled.1   Where do you see yourself in a year as an author?I'll have completed a novel. Whether it gets published or not is another matter altogether…1   What are your new releases?I have three! They all released on the same day, too!Smut by the Sea is a seaside themed anthology which I edited and also have a story in.

Light hearted, sexy fun by the sea is the theme of this erotic anthology, edited by Victoria Blisse and Lucy Felthouse. From the sun soaked bays of Australia to the rainy coastal towns of England, Smut by the Sea has it all. Whatever your interpretation of naughty seaside fun, there’s something nestling between the covers for you. Surfer boys, sea creatures, pirates and the fairground abound in this exciting collection of stories from erotica’s finest authors.

Lover Unexpected: Sappho Edition is a lesbian erotic romance anthology, and contains my fun, sexy story set in London.Girlfriends share lots of things, including their most sinful secrets. When those secrets involve love, lust and long denied desire, sparks are sure to fly. And sometimes, there is no denying the need for a woman’s touch. In this volume you’ll find seven delicious stories of sensual, daring women who open their hearts to discover love, fulfillment and satisfaction—closer than they expected.http://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/lover-unexpected-sappho-edition/

Cougars and Jackals is an anthology of older men, younger women and vice versa. My story, also set in London is about a hot sugar daddy.Lust bridges the age gap as predatory cougars, cute sex kittens and hot silver foxes come together in this collection of erotic stories.Adults young and old explore – or perhaps rediscover – the pleasures of sex. A raven-haired guitar goddess gives her rock protegé a backstage initiation, while a handsome waiter finds himself serving more than food and wine to a quartet of dominant older women. There’s vintage champagne and more flowing in the penthouse suite as a rich businessman shares the wealth of his experience with a trashy but bubbly younger beauty, and when a widow shelters a young fugitive, her dormant arousal is rekindled.http://lucyfelthouse.co.uk/published-works/cougars-and-jackals/13.   What are you working on now?I'm currently working on my first novel. It doesn't have an official title yet—I'm rubbish at titles—but it's based in a British country house and will contain lots of kinky action!

Lucy is a graduate of the University of Derby, where she studied Creative Writing. During her first year, she was dared to write an erotic story - so she did. It went down a storm and she's never looked back. Lucy has had stories published by Cleis Press, Constable and Robinson, Decadent Publishing, Ellora's Cave, Evernight Publishing, House of Erotica, Ravenous Romance, Resplendence Publishing, Sweetmeats Press and Xcite Books. She is also the editor of Uniform Behaviour, Seducing the Myth, Smut by the Sea and Smut in the City. Find out more at http://www.lucyfelthouse.co.uk. Short Writing Spree

Lately, I've been on a short-short writing spree to rival all other things. It consumes my world. For about, an hour, every day. But with the rate the submission calls have been rolling out it's been super good for my writing mojo, yay! Hopefully good release news soon! *fingers crossed* I'll keep you posted!

Patience is a virtue and a sinful temptation

Today I have Willsin Rowe and Katie Salidas on the blog with a fun interview talking about cougars--the sexy kind, not the animal, family, and delicious, dirty smut! Stick around to be fully consumed by their wicked words and an erotic taboo of May-December Romance so hot it eclipses all the other season's completely. Lovely to have you both on my blog!

Q: You’ve written quite a few wonderfully smutty stories on your own, what made you decide to co-author this story?
A: It really did feel like the natural step to take. With Patience, I knew the idea was sound, and that the rough map of the story would work. But the intricacies weren’t meshing. The tiny cogs just weren’t lining up. It just felt like exactly the kind of story that needed input from both genders. And of course, who better to work with than my bestest beta-reading buddy?

Q: What is it about the genre that draws you in? Why do you love to write Erotica?
A: I just love to write, no matter what genre. But for me, Erotica is special. It’s not just about grabbing two characters (or more!) and tossing them in a bed together with the instructions to get it on. It’s to be expected that the characters get all hot and sweaty, sure...but I love the challenge of making it unstoppable rather than opportunistic. The background and shape of the story need to funnel these characters into each other’s...well, let’s say “arms”!

Q: Pick a favorite line (or interaction between the characters) from Patience and tell us why you like it so much?
A: Ah, I love this bit:
I turned him to face me. “Edan, I know you won’t like to hear this, but you’re still so young. You see everything in black and white. Only when you get older will you see the shades of gray.”“Yeah. In the mirror.”It felt almost like he’d slapped me, but I tried not to let it show. “Well, you sure know how to sweet-talk a girl.”“What? What did I say?”“You know what you said.”“Yes, I do. I just have no fucking idea what youheard.”
Why do I love it? Because it shows how the different ages and genders of the characters lends a totally different understanding to one simple remark. And I’d like to point out, too, that the “shades of gray” reference was written in 2010; long before I’d heard of...any particular books that it might make you think of!

Q: What does your family think of your work? Does your wife ever do any Beta Reading for you?
A: Most of my family know, and are pretty much ambivalent about it. My mother was a little taken aback, but my wife is totally supportive. She doesn’t beta for me, but she appears (in one form or another) in many of my stories. She’ll often help me road-test an idea, too!

Q: We’ve touched on this before. What is it about the older woman/younger man pairing that is so intriguing, in your opinion?
A: Ah, well, I think it comes down to a few elements like confidence, communication and respect (including self-respect). When dealing with males, older women tend to do better than younger women on all those elements (wild generalization, I know). Most young people still have that crazy idea that men and women both speak the same language! Older women also know how to stroke an ego without feeling like they’re diminishing themselves. And lastly, they know what they want, they know where it is...and they don’t assume a young man can find it by himself!
BlurbDonelle Fortier is no billionaire. She runs her ad agency with passion and scruples...and it shows in her bank balance.
Edan Dalca is the cocky young hotshot Donelle hired to pump life into her business. He’s intense, passionate...and downright hawt.
But when his arrogance threatens the agency’s future, Donelle realizes he needs to be taught one very important lesson: patience.
And with Donelle’s consummate skills, it’s a lesson that Edan will never forget.
This title contains graphic language, older women/younger man nookie, and an intriguing use of confectionary.

Excerpt
Patience © August 2012 by Willsin Rowe and Katie Salidas  He turned, drilling his steel-gray eyes into mine. “You regret last night, don’t you?”“Last night...” I bit down on my burgeoning smile. “Well, I’ve certainly done smarter things than seduce a co-worker.”“The way I see it, I seduced you.”“Such is my skill, young man.” I couldn’t suppress my smile this time. “No, it wasn’t my smartest move, but I certainly don’t regret it. Anyway, I thought you boys compartmentalized everything.”He slipped his hand onto my thigh. “How can I when you’re right here?”I bit my lip and squeezed my legs together. “Stop…” It was barely a whisper, not convincing at all. He had such big hands they were impossible to ignore. Especially sliding up my leg like that.I clamped my hand over his. “No, Edan. We have to get back to the office. We have another pitch tomorrow.”He dug his fingers in, a needless show of strength. With a puff of disgust he pulled back and turned away. “Fine. Then maybe tomorrow you’ll let me drive.” He shucked out another mint and ground it to death.“Oh, act your fucking age, Edan.” Jesus. I sound like I’m his mother. I started the car and mashed out my frustration on the gas pedal. We drove back in man-made silence. Before I’d even turned off the engine Edan had his door open, ready to storm upstairs and broadcast our failure. To distance himself from the stink of it. I curled my fingers around his arm.“Wait.”He pulled loose from my tenuous grasp and flounced out of the car. I turned off the engine and rushed after him, my clattering heels echoing off the concrete ceiling of the parking garage.“Edan, stop!”The touch of my hand on his shoulder seemed to calm him a little. He stopped and let me turn him around. I felt like his mother again as I pressed him back against the wall. In my heels I was almost eye-to-eye with him. Or would be, if he’d look at me.“You still have so much to learn, boy.”“Don’t call me boy. I’m 24 years old.”“In every way possible.”“What’s that supposed to mean?”“Nothing. Look, we need to present a united front. Yes, we probably lost the pitch. But those people up there rely on me, and now you, to bring business in. They need to believe in us.”“Then untie the apron strings! Let me take more control.”I rested my hand against his chest. Even through the thick wool of his suit, I fancied I could feel the heat of his skin, and I nearly lost my train of thought. “This is not the time for that discussion, Edan.”“It never is.”“Stop. I mean it, this is not the time. We need to radiate calm, give off a positive vibe. Can you do that?”He shook his head and puffed out a resigned chuckle. Finally his cool eyes met mine. “Maybe. What’s it worth to you?”The warmth of his hand was all too real as he cupped the fullness of my breast through my blouse. I’d been so focused on his eyes I hadn’t seen him move. My breath tripped up as he squeezed my hardening nipple.“Edan…” The simple urgency of my own voice sounded like a betrayal. With my hand over his I rested my head on his chest, just to take the weight off my untrustworthy knees. With my eyes closed and the heat of his body against me it was easy to forget he was born the year I finished school.Suddenly he was all hands and breath, all heat and muscle, and lord, did it feel good. I clutched at his belt for balance and he pushed his mouth onto mine.

Willsin Rowe
Willsin Rowe falls in love with a scent, a playful expression or an act of casual intimacy more easily than with physical beauty. When confronted by any combination of those elements he is a lost cause. He has done many things over and over, done even more things only once, and half-done more things than he cares to admit. He loves to sing and doesn’t let his voice get in the way. He is intelligent but not sensible. He is passionate but fearful. He is not scruffy enough or stylish enough to be cool.

Hunger
Christmas time in Brisbane is always so hot and muggy you could drink it from a bowl.
Brett Freeman feels the heat like anyone, but for more than 15 years it’s been nothing to do with the climate and everything to do with Corinne. Only one thing stands between Brett and his perfect woman: her husband, Darren.
Despite that stumbling block, Darren and Corinne consider Brett their best friend. They’ve watched in despair as he’s tossed away good relationships simply because, in his mind, no woman could ever compare to Corinne.
Then, one muggy Christmas Eve, a friendly visit takes a bizarre turn. Secrets are shared, an incredible present is offered, and for Brett, life will be changed forever.
Every beginning comes from an ending.

The Three Day Hump
Luther has a solid career as a lawyer and is married to a famous lingerie model. His life has grown comfortable, and he can’t remember how it felt to truly want something…anything.
Opal is young, debatably single, and has lived a life poor in everything but experience. She exudes a lush darkness and it draws Luther to her.
He suddenly remembers desire.
Their flirting turns physical; lust turns to obsession, obsession to addiction. They can’t see a future, but they can think of nothing but the present. They don’t know how to stop, they only know they need to.
An urban myth tells that three days of abstinence will break the back of an addiction. They hole up together in a hotel for a long weekend.
Naked.
Can their addiction be beaten? Maybe. But first, they need to make it over the three-day hump.
-----
Lightning
From the fun and frivolous to the poignant and deeply personal, this collection of flash and short erotic fiction has a little taste of everything. Tales of crossed paths and crossed lines; of fate and fancy; changes, chances and choices.
With flash stories boiled and brewed until only the essence remains, and longer works that simmer and spit, you’re sure to find something to tickle you right where you need it. And with author commentary before each story, you could call this the director’s cut!

A writer's path is never straight or narrow

Today I'm double checking galleys for a short story I have in an upcoming Xcite anthology, Corporate Affairs, entitled Box, in which my character's get into some epic hanky-panky in an elevator because my heroine is afraid of them. Here's a fun little snippet:

It was official¾she watched too many horror movies. To the point where getting on the elevator wasn’t even a possibility because of the probability that something in the wiring was faulty and she would plummet to her death. Maybe it shouldn’t have been that way. Normal people used the machine all the time without taking the stairs. It was a good excuse to tone her ass. But as she stared at the shiny great doors¾nope, she couldn’t bring herself to get in there. “Another morning of contemplation for you, Lanie?”Lanie nearly jumped a foot. His seductive tenor voice tingled up her spine and lingered at the base of her neck where all the short hairs stood on end. Charlie. This was not what she needed right now. Not after their one-up game in the boardroom this morning. A quick memory of his lips as he made his grand speech and his tongue worked so hard to grasp every word and make it stick with their clients. No denying he had a gorgeous mouth for oration. She wouldn't admit to herself where she wanted those soft¾often direct and to the point¾lips. Despite his intensity with their clients, when he spoke directly to her he played his own verbal game. It's like he knew, could sense it. Their own personal dirty distraction with all their clothes on in the middle of the office. All her attention for that baiting, infuriating, ripe mouth. Their eye contact with each other never lapsed. If she moved away from the hot solidity of him now, almost flush with her back, well, he would enjoy that too much. It would be like he had won. Either she stood her ground or he would get too cocky. Stubborn anger rocked down through her stylish heels until she wanted to pin her body to the marble floor with the spike point stilettos. So many games in corporate already, did they need to create another one? Enough was enough.“You don’t know how to leave things alone do you, Charlie?”“But you bait me so well. Every morning you’re out here in the lobby, just waiting for me, staring at those doors like they’ll swallow you whole. What’s a man supposed to do with an opportunity like that in his path?” He chuckled close to her ear and she swallowed, harder than she would have liked to admit. His laughter was a million bits of sound that hacked into her armor. Had she imagined the caress? His lips brushed the curve of her ear so every erotic nerve moved to push against her skin all at once. Hot breath still stung against her cheek like a slap. But that wasn't the least of her worries. For a millisecond it didn't matter where they were and what they bantered about, because the steel box reflected her needs right back at them in the high color to her cheeks. This wasn't happening. Not when she wasn't ready for him to pull back and do nothing¾like always. Every day he left her with empty words and the image of his grin for when she crawled into bed with her hand and a tongue simulator sex toy. It would be so much easier to just snap. “You could be a gentleman about it, although I know that’s a foreign concept to you.”
