THE CURE FOR “NOBODY LOVES ME”

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Know your identity in Me and the inheritance I have for you. Know I keep track of the number of hairs on your head and the tears you cry. I do! I know you better than you know yourself!

THE CURE FOR “NOBODY LOVES ME”

Do you really know how much you are loved by the only One who really matters? His name is Jesus Christ and the Bible says in Zechariah 2:8 that whoever touches you, “touches the apple of His eye.” Just so you know, that is the pupil, or “untouchable” part of the eye.

Jeremiah 29:11 says that when God thinks about you, His thoughts are of peace and plans to bring you to “an expected end” – a certain outcome or specific plan for your life. Wow!

Revelation 1:6 says He sees you as a King or Priest. Yes, Daddy calls you royalty! If He has a wallet, your picture is in it! If God’s got a refrigerator, your accomplishments are displayed all over it!

God likes to embarrass the devil by bragging on you the way He bragged on Job. He sees you through the eyes of love. In spite of this, you can’t really love other people until you truly understand how much God loves you. The greater your revelation of His love, the greater your capacity to demonstrate it for others.

Evangeline Booth, daughter of the founder of the Salvation Army, had a real knowledge of the Jesus-kind of love. As she sat in a filthy slum cleaning the sores of a drunk woman, a friend said to her, “I wouldn’t do that for a million dollars. “

Amazingly, Evangeline Booth replied, “Neither would I.”

She really understood what love was all about. That is the way Jesus loves you.

SHORTCHANGED? NEVER!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I Am the One who is, that always was, and who is still to come. I can be with you today – right now, in your past or in your future. Invite Me in. I am the Almighty one and time with you is My priority for eternity.

SHORTCHANGED? NEVER!

Expectancy is so important. We need to come into the Presence of the Lord with expectancy. We need to be like, “Hey, man. I don’t know what God is going to do. I just know God is awesome.”

Whenever I can’t map out His hand or whenever I can’t predict His hand, I can predict His heart: He’s good. It’s all about having an encounter with Jesus.

Whether it’s you in your prayer closet, driving down the road singing with the radio, sitting in church listening to me preach, or reading the Word, you need to approach it as you’re going to have an encounter with Jesus.

Without expectancy, it’s hard to get into the presence. It’s hard to hear God, see His hand at work or even feel like He loves you. Expectancy is that important. As a matter of fact, the Message Bible says we will never be shortchanged if we expect great things from Jesus.

In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary – we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit! – Romans 5:5 Message

I know a lot of you are tired. You’re busy. You work really, really hard and I bless you. May the Spirit of the Lord quicken you – be alert in you – in such a way that you finish reading this more in love with the Lord Jesus Christ than when you started – and better equipped.

Put expectancy in your arsenal. Pull it out when you need to battle for better. When you go after God’s heart through His word, prayer, worship, service – whatever you do. Expect God to show up and He will. Encounter goodness today.

GRACE THE GAME-CHANGER

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

When I say My grace is sufficient for you, that means I’m going to help you overcome. You can overcome your past, your fear, your pride – whatever is holding you back. Move forward to better things.

GRACE THE GAME-CHANGER

The grace of God enables you to come out of things. You and I can go to the Lord and say, “Lord, I need grace for this. I need a supernatural God-given ability, Sir, to overcome this thing.”

There’s a way I can think about this thing and the Holy Spirit can tweak it, and all of a sudden I can think differently. There are sometimes, guys, something yucky will happen and I will just be like, “Oh man, that is just so bad” and I will pray, “Lord, just tweak my head just a little bit, and give me a heavenly perspective.”

And a tiny tweak will cause all of my emotions to change, that’s grace! That’s grace, that’s the grace of God. And you know what, you don’t have to wait until you die to tap into that.

Jesus is alive right now and you can come out of anything. Anything. There ain’t nothing that can hold you back if you want to go after freedom. Nothing.

There’s a game-changing verse in the book of Matthew that is so far out there, translators don’t even know if it’s talking about time or distance to translate to English. This is the game-changing verse. In it, He says this:

“Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world”                              – Matthew 28:20 KJV

“Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of your age.”                               – Matthew 28:20 NIV

He’s saying, “I’m with you until the end of your rope, the end of what makes sense, the end of your clock, and the end of your map.” Now that’s grace. That’s Jesus enabling you to come out of things because He’s with you.

So, grace is a game-changer. Let Jesus change things all the way to the end of your rope.

VAIN IMAGINATIONS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

You have My mind – the mind of Christ. As you cast down evil imaginations, you make Me proud. I Am filling your head and your heart with eternal things, so have ears to hear My voice and My voice only.

VAIN IMAGINATIONS

While it’s good to learn from your past and prepare for your future, today is the only day you can control. Today is where you fight for greatness and go after blessing.

Unfortunately, if you’re like me – and you are – you’ve found focusing on today is hard. Especially when you consider the conversations you have in your head.

Let’s be real. Thoughts of past hurts, offenses and slights pop into your head on a daily basis. Sometimes on an hourly basis. You obsess saying, “I should have said this,”  “I should have done that,” or “What if…” You start to construct conversations in your head that transport you back to the anger and hurt.

From their callous hearts comes iniquity; their evil imaginations have no limits. – Psalms 73:7

Then there are the imaginations of the future. You know, preparing for battle by practicing for fights that may never come. But they do, and mostly because you were locked and loaded from a false conversation or an imagined slight.

All day long I have held out my hands to an obstinate people, who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own imaginations … – Isaiah 65:2

Like Adam and Eve in the garden, you are talking to snakes! These conversations in your head are deadly fruit the serpent uses to keep you wrapped up in your past or undermining your future. You’ll never move forward so you will never be a threat to his dark work.

If the devil can keep you fighting imaginary battles over imagined offenses with real opponents, he can push you into a costly war on a battlefield you have no grace to win. Yes, he’s out to kill your testimony and bring your upgrade to a screeching halt.

Wake up! When you find yourself reliving conversations from the past or preparing for a future fight, cast out that thought and the serpent with it. Call on the name of Jesus. Declare you have the mind of Christ, because you do.

Confront the voices in your head. Cast out the voice of the enemy and the “in-a-me.” Hear Jesus call you to deeper things?

STEPPING OUT

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Today is a day for pursuit. Go after those things you’ve been putting off. You have a green light until I tell you, “Stop!”

STEPPING OUT

In the arena of Promised Land living, you never see what God has given you until you are willing to walk in it first. In other words, you have to be able to walk in it before you get it.

Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the River Euphrates, even to the Western Sea, shall be your territory. – Deuteronomy 11:24

When God told Joshua to cross the flooded Jordan River and go into the Promised Land, he did something very different than when they left Egypt to cross over into the wilderness. Both involved miraculous crossing of bodies of water. Who can forget about Moses and the parting of the Red Sea?

But here at the gateway to the Promised Land, a different courage and trust were required as the key. The water didn’t part first like it did when they crossed the Red Sea. This was the Promised Land, and there was a new set of rules: they had to step into the water first. They had to start pursuing the Promised Land before the waters ever parted.

If you want upgrade, if you want blessing and more of Jesus, the way does not present itself until you move toward it. You have to step into it first.

…and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest), that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho. – Joshua 3:15-16

GO WITH THE FLOW

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I pour into you constantly – love, grace, wisdom, creativity. Even My Holy Spirit is constantly flowing through you. Do you recognize My work in you? Take time to look for Me and you will find I’m always with you.

GO WITH THE FLOW

I want you to understand in the definition of “milk and honey.” Milk is what is basic. Honey is what is extravagant.

So God promised the Hebrew slaves a land flowing – continual, far reaching – with basic needs and extravagant wants. Flowing with both of those things.

Milk is what you need. Honey is what you want, and in the Promised Land, you get both. “But Pastor Troy, my life doesn’t work like that! My life works like the Rolling Stones, ‘You can’t always get what you want.’”

That’s because you’re still in the wilderness. In the wilderness, you can’t get what you want. Brother Jagger, you need to learn the lesson of dependency in the wilderness so that you can get out of there and get what you want.

The battle you fight in the Promised Land is not for survival. In the Promised Land, you don’t fight the wrong battles. You fight the right battles.

Now, for you to move from a place where you’re fighting the wrong battles, into a place where you fight the right battles, is a game changer. Jesus so wants to partner with you in fighting the right things.

Many of you will spend decades of your lives totally messed up because you’re engaged in things that aren’t your assignment. It’s not what you’re supposed to be engaged in. You’re fighting the wrong things.

The battle for better is the right battle. The battle for milk and honey – a place where you lay your burden down and let Jesus take over the fight – that’s a battlefield you need to be on.

Learn to depend on God for your provision. Boldly step into the Promised Land in that Rolling Stone area of your life and watch Jesus Mighty Warrior show up. He will back you up as you fight the battle for your promised land.

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” – 2 Corinthians 1:20

SET UP FOR SUCCESS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Remember the passions and dreams I have put in your heart and go after them by continuing to sow into the vision. I will take care of the multiplication.

SET UP FOR SUCCESS

You know I love to talk about and celebrate miracles. Although they are crazy cool, they are not God’s best for prospering His children. Though it’s not instantaneous, there is a principle that is much, much better and just as miraculous.

You see, God desperately wants to give you a vision for something better – a plan for you to achieve. Then He will give you the ability to maintain that thing. God designed you and I so we’re happiest when we are setting goals and achieving them.

Our lives are fulfilled by having a vision for something better, then finding ways to achieve those goals so you can live in that better place. That’s your promised land and it’s a lot better place to live than from miracle to miracle. It takes hard work, but if hard work alone meant prosperity, every coal miner in West Virginia would be a billionaire!

Here’s how Seed, Time and Harvest – aka work and reward – works:

1. God gives you a vision for something better. Example: starting your own business.
2. He gives you a specific plan for that to happen. Example: saving your money and researching locations, costs and regulations.
3. God hooks you up with the right people and the right tools.
4. God gives you the guts and courage to pull it off and maintain it.
5. God prospers you so you can be generous with your blessings, or profits, to “seed” back into the church, ministries, people and God’s plans to bless you even more!

Hard work and reward are a lot better than needing a miracle! And if you want to prosper this way, you will need to be dependent on God for three things: wisdom, favor and character. These are the tools God provides when He sets you up for long-term prosperity. Are you ready to sow into His vision for your life?

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. – Luke 2:52

NATURAL OR SUPERNATURAL?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

You were made for such a time as this. These are the days of miracles. These are the days of signs and wonders. My Spirit living in you is My supernatural promise that what I did, you too can do – today.

NATURAL OR SUPERNATURAL?

So many Christians don’t understand why they don’t see signs, miracles and wonders. Because they don’t see these things, they assume God is no longer in the business of the supernatural.

But those of us who roll up our sleeves and get dirty in the ditches of people’s lives know better. The greatest way you can get the supernatural power of God in your life is to stop living a natural life.

It ain’t natural to forgive folks. If you get committed to the Lord and start forgiving folks, that’s not natural. Bitterness, anger and revenge – now those are natural to us. Forgiveness? Well, that takes some supernatural strength.

It is not natural for a church to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars helping people who will never ever attend that church.

Because we’re feeding people who will never darken our doorway, and we do it with no strings attached, we’re setting ourselves and the people we serve up for big time miraculous things. Just hang out at the OpenDoor Food Bank and watch the healings, new jobs and financial miracles bust out around you.

It’s not natural to rescue, love and raise hundreds of children who aren’t yours. But because we’re very joyfully loving on little boys and girls who will never go to this church, the power of God shows up and we see signs, and miracles, and wonders.

Want to see God show up? Want to experience the supernatural? Get off your blessed assurance and help someone! Be the goodness of God to a world in desperate need of a miracle.

This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. – Hebrews 2:3-4

THE MOST IMPORTANT MIRACLE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I purchased you with a price. Your life belongs to Me, though I have given you free will to accept My love or reject it. Love does not demand it’s own way.

THE MOST IMPORTANT MIRACLE

Out of all the miracles God has done through anyone throughout the centuries, there is one miracle that all miracles hinge on. When you get the message in the miracle, it changes how you see things and even who you are.

This miracle has to be true or all of Christianity is not real. This miracle is the deciding factor and the simplest litmus test in proving if the deity and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is fact or fantasy, truth or fable.

One miracle separates Jesus from every man ever born. It is despised by the critics and reviled in demonic realms. It is the miracle we celebrate every Easter – the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul testified to the importance of the resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15 when he wrote:

“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.” – 1 Corinthians 15:14

But then Paul triumphantly declared, “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.”

You see, Jesus Christ slapped death in the face and that makes His credentials as God irrefutable. No wonder people don’t want to believe in the resurrection. If Jesus is God, then we have to obey Him! Most of us simply don’t want to.

We are our own God. We do as we wish without thinking twice about the one who not only created us, but saved us. Is that you? Are you living for yourself and ignoring Christ? Have you said a prayer but never let it get into your heart that you owe your life – especially the way you live it – to Jesus?

Today is a good day to remember when and how Jesus saved you. Remember the miracle of Him raising you from the dead and thank Him for His indescribable gift by living for Him.

GOD ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISES

TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

Trust in Me and in My Word. Imitate Me by keeping your word even when it hurts. In this you will show others you have the integrity of the Holy Spirit living in you.

GOD ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISES

You may want to sit down for this: Did you know God does not respond to you based on sickness, pain, trials or poverty? He doesn’t. The only thing that causes God to respond to you is His covenant to you – the one He made when you got saved and became part of His spiritual family.

What?!? It’s true. The only reason God acts on your behalf is because He promised to. So what should your response to this be? Trust in His covenant by glorifying Him no matter what is going on in your life!

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. – 1 Corinthians 10:31

Look at how broad the Holy Spirit had Paul write this verse. Whether you are eating, drinking, standing, sitting, laughing, crying, buying or selling, traveling or building, or whether you are doing it all at the same time, do all for the glory of God.

This is a covenant lifestyle driven by a covenant mentality, which produces selflessness and servitude – aka Godly character. A covenant mentality says, “my life is not my own.” It says this when it’s convenient and when it’s not.

You see, Jesus put us first when it was hard, painful and downright deadly. Our needs came before His, so He kept His covenant with Adam and died for our sins. God always keeps His promises.

What about you? Are you a promise keeper with a covenant mindset? Do you trust Him and glorify Him not matter what hell is breaking loose in your life? Purpose to be covenant minded.
