THE SOURCE OF YOUR CRAZY
I speak My heart, and you speak yours. In the place of chaos, listen to your words to see where they don’t align with Mine. Then you will understand the true problem.
THE SOURCE OF YOUR CRAZY
When it comes to the promises of God, nothing God gives you will make you crazy or cause anxiety. He is a good God after all, and says so in Matthew’s gospel:
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find reset for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. – Matthew 11:28-29
The Pastor Troy Translation says, “God says He’ll never make you crazy.” I love that promise because sometimes I say, “God you’re making me crazy.”
He says, “Oh, you think I’m the problem? Let’s go to the Wilderness and you’ll learn I’m not the problem.”
“No! I remember the promise that You’ll never make me crazy.” That means if something is out of control in my life, it’s something I’m letting into my life that’s the culprit – not God. Nothing that comes from Him will drive us crazy or give us anxiety. Aren’t you glad for that promise and these?
And my God will fully supply your every need according to His glorious riches in the Messiah. – Philippians 4:19
If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. – Romans 10:9
The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I’ve come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. – John 10:10
Those are all promises of God. Everything He does is for your benefit, growth and to bring you to that “expected end” He talks about in Jeremiah 29:11. Something driving you crazy? It’s not God.
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO IDENTIFY YOUR CRAZY. BAG IT, TAG IT AND GET IT OUT OF YOUR LIFE SO YOU CAN FOCUS ON JESUS.

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS JUST LIKE THAT!
You don’t have to leave the kingdom for your own desires. Because you are in love with Me, learning of Me, and going after My heart, the desires of your heart are quickly becoming kingdom desires because of My influence in your life.
THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS JUST LIKE THAT!
King Jesus is a master at teaching deep, spiritual, Kingdom truth by paralleling it to something that everybody recognizes. It’s Jesus saying, “See that? The Kingdom of Heaven is just like that!” The Bible calls that a “parable.”
In Mark 4:3-9, Jesus tells the parable of the sower. The sower – God – spreads seed in all kinds of soil – people – and it’s up to us whether we’re going to grow and flourish, or wither and die.
You and I are His harvest.
Let me tell you what your harvest is going to do. It’s going to spring up. It’s going to increase, and it’s going to produce. Jesus actually later explains to the disciples that the seed is the Word of God. He says, “This is what happens when the word of God comes into your life and it produces a harvest.” God gets His way within your life.
You need to hear God speak through the parables going on in your everyday life. They are there if you look for them. There are situations going on where you instantly know God is speaking.
He speaks through the timing of things, how things line up, and understanding how things work. What’s cool is, it’s like you can’t get away from the word God is speaking to you concerning one subject! Do you hear Him?
Start paying attention to the parables in your life and you’ll start seeing that “the Kingdom of Heaven is just like that!”
The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. – Matthew 13:10-12

NOT A TAME LION
I know the beginning from the end. You can trust me to lead you into the next season – a good season of revelation. Seek My face. I will show you who I Am “in time.”
NOT A TAME LION
There’s this scene in “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” that illustrates something really cool about Jesus.
Aslan, who is a type of Jesus, is walking away and the little girl, Lucy, says, “Where’s Aslan going?”
Her friend, Mr. Tumnus, says, “Don’t worry. We’ll see him again.” Lucy asks, “When?”
He answers, “In time. One day he’ll be here and the next he won’t. But you mustn’t press him, after all, he is not a tame lion.” Then a revelation hits Lucy and she says, “But he is good!”
Man, when I first saw the movie, I just went, “Wow! That is such a great word!”
Listen, Jesus is good. But you ain’t gonna domesticate Him. Jesus is a warrior and He’s not going to jump through every single hoop you expect Him to. He’ll show up and He’ll be good. He’s a good “lion,” but He’s not a tame one. He’ll do what He wants to.
Just like Him coming to earth as a baby. Who knew? The Jewish people didn’t and I’m sure the angels themselves were baffled. The devil was also a day late and a dollar short. Why would the limitless God of the universe become a human baby, subject to time, sickness and death?
But He did. And He also lived the perfect life none of us could, then died a sacrificial death in our place. Who could have foreseen the cross? The disciples didn’t. Neither did the Pharisees. I’m sure the devil didn’t see it coming and he really didn’t see what came next, when Jesus defeated death and rose again.
You see, Jesus is not a tame lion. He’s going to battle. He’s going do what He wants and He’s coming again “in time.” Aren’t you glad He’s not a tame lion? Today is a good time to let Him be your Lion of Judah because He is good.
But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” – Revelation 5:5

THE PROPHET OF HELL
When you’re down, I Am there. When you’re up, I Am there. Know My hand is there to lift you up, not beat you down no matter what your past looks like.
THE PROPHET OF HELL
I spend a lot of time explaining how this works: God is still good despite so much evil in the world. People don’t believe that. I’ve even had people tell me they believe God is working mightily through hurricanes.
I do not believe God is in the hurricane business. He is, however in the speaking His word business. People argue with me on that.
If you’re about your Father’s business and you pray His will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven, you know His will is not to bring hurricanes. They are part of living in a fallen world. It’s your job to bring healing to people who have experienced a hurricane, and a word from God in the midst of a hurricane.
I think you partner with Hell when you stand on a beach in Florida and say this is the judgment of God – this is His will, and this is what you get for being a bunch of knuckleheads.
Let me tell you who else says that. The devil says that! The body of Jesus Christ is to speak the heart of Jesus, not the wrath of Hell. Jesus calmed storms. He didn’t stir them up.
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” – Mark 4:39-40
I refuse to be the prophet of hell bringing damnation. Jesus brings life. Period. He not only calms tornadoes and hurricanes, He calms the storms in our hearts and lives. Do you know someone who could use His peace?
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO KNOW JESUS CALMS STORMS. WHEN ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE, DON’T FEAR. HAVE FAITH.

ALIGNED FOR BATTLE
Put everything you’re involved in right now down at the feet of Jesus. He will tell you the things He’ll handle Himself and the ones He wants to help you with as you seek Him.
ALIGNED FOR BATTLE
Alignment for assignment is all about fighting the right battles.
Open Door Church is called to fight the battle of poverty and hunger through our food bank and homeless outreach. We are called to fight the battle for freedom from slavery. We do that through Answer International. We are also called to give orphans a new family name – Christ-ians – through our SPARK Worldwide orphanages.
There are a lot of other great things out there – Kingdom things – that we could be involved in. However, we would be out of alignment because we were not specifically called to do those things. When I say called, I mean God has placed a holy hatred for that thing in my heart as the pastor and in our hearts collectively as a congregation.
I don’t want to fight the wrong battles. That never ends well because God didn’t give me the grace to win on that battlefield.
It’s easy to be fascinated with things that are not your assignment. Ministries other people or churches are doing, and doing well, are their assignment. Don’t go coveting what they have. Why? Because God has a personal, specific purpose for you.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. – Ephesians 2:10
Yes, your purpose is yours alone. Line up with it and leave your hands off the good things others are doing!
So what is your assignment? What has God put before you and given you grace to conquer for His Glory? If you don’t know or aren’t sure, ask Him for a word of confirmation. Let Jesus show you how He wired you to win the war against Satan.

APOCALYPSE, NOW!
I am hiding in plain sight waiting for you to ask for a personal encounter with me. I wish to be found by you and to be known by you, just as I know you. Ask for eyes to see Me.
APOCALYPSE, NOW!
The face of Jesus is not an image. It’s a personal revelation. The word “revelation” means personal, supernatural recognition. Revelation is literally the word “apocalypse.” Our society has a wrong understanding of what apocalypse means.
The definition of “apocalypse” is not total destruction or the end of the world as we know it. Apocalypse means “the unveiling.” It means to reveal something, like pulling a blanket off of something hidden under it.
How Jesus Christ is revealed to us is not through an image. Jesus Christ is revealed to us is through the Ta-Da! It’s the light bulb moment – the moment of clarity – the epiphany. It’s a bombshell, a lightning bolt, and it’s always personal. Always.
Have you had a personal experience with the Lord Jesus lately? Would you recognize it if you did? Look for Him. He shows up in new and different ways every time, but you will recognize one thread that runs through all Jesus encounters: Goodness.
Look for goodness, love, service and selflessness. Jesus is generally hanging out around those things. If you want to see Him, tell Him you want an apocalypse, now! He would love to unveil where He’s been hiding in plain sight.
Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. – Luke 24:30-31

FAMILY DRAMA
I have promised you streams in the desert and highways in the wilderness. You will not be lost. You, and a thousand generations of those who love me, will be found by me. Do not lose hope! I Am here.
FAMILY DRAMA
With summer upon us, there is excitement, joy and likely dread. Yes, dread. With summer break comes family and let’s face it. Your family is messed up! Heck, family is just messed up because it’s full of imperfect people.
Let’s look at one family Jesus got right into the middle of – the family of Lazarus.
Lazarus may have been Jesus’ friend, but before that, he was a beggar. Something was so messed up in this brother’s life, he had to sit at the city gates and beg for the rich man’s scraps.
His sister, Mary, well she was just as messed up. Though a personal friend of the Lord Jesus, her story before they became friends wasn’t so pretty. This was a lady with a reputation, and it wasn’t good. Everyone but Jesus, it seemed, knew she had a shady past.
When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, ‘If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is – that she is a sinner.’ – Luke 7:39
Then there was their sister, Martha. She’s the one person in the house with her act together – yes, we all have at least one – and she’s not going to lose her mind. She makes things work, pays the bills and keeps everyone together. Problem is, she became legalistic in keeping it all together.
But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” – Luke 10:40
Jesus set Martha straight that day. He told her keeping the family together was not as important as quality time with the Head of the household – and that was not Martha.
Before meeting Jesus, this family was a mess. After, they were rockstars. Lazarus will forever be known as the man Jesus resurrected after four days in the grave. Mary will forever be known for her love, devotion and sacrifice. Martha? She’s celebrated in heaven for her service to her family and to Jesus, despite the bad rap she gets here on earth.
Look at your family. Are they a mess? Do they know who the head of the household is? If they don’t know Jesus, this is a powerful time to introduce them. Like Lazarus, Jesus can raise them from death to life and give them a place at the table.
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO DECLARE YOUR FAMILY BELONGS TO THE LORD. TESTIFY TO JESUS AND WATCH HIM MAKE YOUR BLACK SHEEP WHITE AS SNOW.

TOWER OF THE FLOCK
I did not come into the world to condemn it, but to save it. I do not condemn you. My Father is not mad at you. He has put the deposit of the Holy Spirit in you as proof of His love and My sacrifice. You are saved through My blood. Go and sin no more.
TOWER OF THE FLOCK
There’s an obscure prophecy about the birth of Jesus that’s not just about the town of Bethlehem, it nails down Messiah’s birth to the square foot. You might not have heard this before, but it’s in the book of Micah.
“And you, O tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion, to you shall it come, even the former dominion shall come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.” – Micah 4:8
It’s a prophecy that the Messiah would be born not only in Bethlehem, but in the “Tower of the Flock.” So, what is that?
The Tower of the Flock belonged to Shepherd’s Field – the same exact field where David grew up watching sheep and having crazy cool encounters with God. You need to know, the shepherds in this field were not normal. They were part of the Levitical priesthood.
Their job was to watch as lambs were born. If a lamb had no spot or blemish, it was worthy for sacrifice. If it was spotless, they swaddled it – they wrapped it up to protect it from getting bruised.
Let me tell you what they wrapped it in. They wrapped it up in the bloody priestly garment. Why? Whenever they took a lamb to be sacrificed, there might have been hundreds of Levitical priests out slaughtering animals. Every time their garments were spotted, they had to change.
So what do you do with all those robes? You rip them up and use them as wicks in the Menorah of the house of God. The light that was burning was lit by the blood-stained garments of the priests. There’s a huge revelation in that.
They also used them to wrap newborn lambs, then take them to the Tower of the Flock. They laid the lambs down, then lit a fire on top of the tower to let the priests know there was a lamb worthy to be slain.
Connect the dots. Jesus was born in the Tower of the Flock – where the priests placed lambs worthy to be slain. And a star arose on the top of it – a supernatural fire – that came from heaven saying, “There is One who is supernatural, not just to hide the sins of the world, but to take away the sins of the world.”
Now it makes sense that the angels appeared to the shepherds. It was their job to let everybody know a lamb worthy to be slain has been born! They were the only ones truly qualified.
So, on Christmas morning, the angels of the Lord show up to them and say, “Listen, I’ve got great news for you! Good tidings, good will to men…You will find the Child wrapped in swaddling clothes laying in a manger.”
You gotta know the shepherds knew exactly where that was because they went there all the time! They ran to the Tower of the Flock, which was prophesied 700 years earlier. Now, here’s the difference between Jesus and all those thousands of spotless lambs.
Jesus wasn’t laying where all the other lambs were. He was laying in the feeding trough where they fed the other lambs. Why? Because He is the Bread of Life from John 6:35! Hallelujah! Like manna, Jesus is an indescribable gift from heaven. Let Him fill your life today so you will never be hungry for goodness or mercy ever again.
