The mob is the last place a follower of Jesus should be. The mob is Satan’s tool to distract you and me from testifying to Jesus. It’s where he blinds us to love and fills us with anger, self-righteousness and hatred. The mob is divisive – always.

Come out of here. My people! Run for your lives! Run from the fierce anger of the Lord! – Jeremiah 51:45

Drop-dead, sold-out Jesus freaks have no business jumping on a political or social bandwagon. Why? Because God likes to dump His wrath on mobs. It’s the last place you and I should be.

As the people of God, you and I are not going to stand with any spirit of any mob. We are going to stand with the Spirit of the Lord because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom and liberty.

We stand with truth. We do not stand with the most dramatic, angriest person who can get the lost riled up for a fight. Jesus said it like this:

But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” – Matthew 16:23

Since we have a generation that doesn’t have a clue what truth is, I’ll define truth so we can recognize the mob.

Not just an idea, truth is, in fact, a person – the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the Way, I am the Truth and I am the Life.” Jesus is what’s real. That’s what truth is all about – what’s real.

If Jesus is the truth, the mob follows the lie. The Bible tells us the father of lies is the devil himself. Put down the Kool-Aid! Your Facebook rants and email forwards are Satan’s way of distracting you from following Jesus and bringing the lost to salvation.

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO SEARCH OUT THE TRUTH. LET THE LIE OF THE MOB FALL AWAY AND TESTIFY TO THE LOVE OF JESUS. THE DAYS ARE SHORT AND THE LOST ARE MANY.

TOPPLE THOSE WALLS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

You can take a leap of faith by taking one small step. You may feel like a bird falling out of a nest but I will make your wings become strong and you will fly!

TOPPLE THOSE WALLS!

Our church has grown from something little bitty to something great big. Every time we experience a growth spurt, there are tremendous challenges. The parking lot is a rodeo, staffing has to increase. The list goes on…

I remember getting the first electric bill for the Burleson campus. I started crying. I said I was done for the day and left. Who can pay such a thing? God can. The money came in, and we’ve never missed a payment.

I remember the very first time we were responsible for 100 little boys and girls in an orphanage. I wrote that check and thought, “Oh, my gosh. What am I doing?” I had to mortgage my house, and jump through a bunch of hoops to keep payments up because I wasn’t smart about finances.

I didn’t know how to do this, and didn’t know how to do that. It took me a while to learn those things. I got my upgrade and now we have thousands of kids. Thousands.

With every single upgrade God trusts you with, there’s going to be a new walled city, a new enemy king who wants to oppose and deny you. There’s going to be a giant who intimidates you in every upgrade within your Promised Land. Stand!

Get into a place where you are living victoriously in Christ and are seeing the goodness of God in the land of the living. That comes with upgrade. Upgrade comes from sticking close to God in your Wilderness, then seeing your Promised Land – your purpose – and saying, “God, I’m stepping out now. I know you will back me up.”

Are you ready to slay giants and take walled cities for Jesus? Can you testify to His love to the lost, angry, lonely and hurting? When you make these things your priority, walls will be shaken and the enemy’s kingdom will fall.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6
