LEAVE IT TO JESUS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Did you know that there are people I can only reach with My love and forgiveness through you? It’s true. Our connection makes you a conduit for My love and salvation. Don’t burn bridges with people who have hurt or disappointed you. Let My redemption flow through you for a harvest of hope. 

LEAVE IT FOR JESUS

The collateral damage that happens to your friends and family when you don’t lay down your life, and you make things all about “me,” “myself,” and “I”, is terrible. I call this burning a field or burning a bridge. It’s when you destroy a relationship because of your selfishness and drama.


I have been guilty of that myself and I’m sorry I ever did that. I have purposed in my heart over these last several years that I’m not going to be a field burner anymore. I have a lot of fields that have weeds in them – weeds are dysfunctional relationships – but I’ve learned not to pull them up, or to put a match to them. Why?

Because I can still lay down my life for that person and give Jesus a harvest from it. Someday, maybe soon, Jesus is going to show up and He’s not going to yell at me because of the weeds in the field. He’s going to give me a crown because of the harvest that’s in it. That is the hope of the Lord Jesus Christ.


There are times when it appears your fields are nothing but weeds. There are times you need to seek Godly counsel and get an outsider opinion of your progress. You and I are sometimes too hard on ourselves and set our standards too high. We want perfection in our fields – especially when we’re dealing with family and kids. 

Know this: we will not achieve perfection until the day of Christ’s return. This means there will always be weeds in our relationships and tares, or stickers, in our lives. Just like a field of wheat has patches of nettles and wild oats, there is still enough grain on that ground to warrant a harvest. We don’t destroy the harvest to kill the weeds.

Think of Jesus as a big John Deere combine. He threshes the wheat and separates out the grain from the wild oats, no matter how many there are. So, don’t strike a match. Be selfless in your relationships and let Jesus take care of the people you struggle with. Pray for them. Love on them. See them as the prisoners of war, to the enemy, that they are. Don’t burn that field. Leave those weeds for Jesus.

“Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus… – Philippians 2:3-5

TA-DAAAAA!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

You long to know and be known. So do I. I know you even better than you know yourself. Seek Me and you will find Me. I Am a personal God who wants to be found and known by you.

TA-DAAAA!

The book of Revelation, or the book of Apocalypse, gives me so much hope. When I say that, most people say, “Pastor! How can you say that? The apocalypse is the worst thing that could ever happen.” 

You really need to understand what apocalypse means, and it is not total calamity, death, and destruction. Apocalypse simply means “the unveiling.” It’s the thing you’ve really needed to see and you finally get to see it. It means, “Ta-daaa!”

The revelation, or apocalypse, of Jesus Christ – the unveiling of Jesus Christ to John – was incredible. The first four chapters of Revelation are just off-the-chain stupid, cool. Why? Because first and foremost, Revelation is a book of Majesty. 

Majesty is how Jesus rules and reigns over a situation. It’s when He has dominion and gets to be the King. What I’m getting to here is that you and I need a personal apocalypse of Jesus. We need those “ta-da” moments each and every day, and we need to not rest until we get one. 

The worst thing that could happen is not an apocalypse, but the lack of an apocalypse. Missing it or never going after it is truly a calamity. Does Jesus rule and reign in your thoughts and actions? Does He have dominion over your marriage, your family, your work, finances, and ministry? 

Get into His presence and don’t leave until He says, “Ta-da!”  

 “For now, we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.” – 1 Corinthians 13:12

June 13, 2021 – Avoiding the Easy Button

Last week we looked at the D-Day Invasion and the incredible bravery of the 156,000 soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy. Their bravery was all about their willingness to sacrifice and risk everything they had, and all that they were, for the greater good of millions of other people. 

They fought for people they knew and those they didn’t. They fought for the people beside them and for the people back home. If they were fighting for themselves they would have stayed at home and had their personal comfort and safety as their highest priorities. 

Our greatest generation had no option for personal agendas. And that’s why we look at them for the definition of Bravery. 

BRAVERY

Exemplary selflessness = A willingness to fight for everyone else, for the good of others.

THE LOVE OF GOD 

JOHN 15:13 – Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

THE OPPOSITE OF LOVE IS NOT HATE.

THE OPPOSITE OF LOVE IS SELFISHNESS.

This is why bravery is highly rewarded in heaven and honored by God upon this earth. Because courage is the Siamese twin of selflessness. Nobody is truly courageous unless they love somebody else more than they love themselves. 

THE LOVE OF GOD = SELFLESSNESS = COURAGE & BRAVERY 

PRIDE = SELFISHNESS = DESTRUCTIVE COWARDICE 

Heroic exploits of faith look grand from the stadium of heaven but unimpressive to the people of the world. 

It’s as simple as the single mama who loves her kids more than herself and proves it by doing everything she can to see her kids are clothed, happy, protected, educated, fed, loved, celebrated and set up for life while she is working two jobs with very little support or breaks from the hard life she is living. She makes it look easy. That’s bravery. 

She doesn’t turn them over to the government and screen. She puts her hands to work and mind toward a better future for her kids and says, “I’ve got to be somebody for them.” 

That’s courage. That’s bravery. 

Heaven is full of brave selfless people who are full of the love God. 

Revelation 21:5-8

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

THE 13 THINGS JESUS SAID “DEFILE” US 

Mark 7:20–23

And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

If you’re going to stick with God, you are going to have to learn the true skillset of acts bravery and selfless courage. Because God’s camp is full fo people who are laying down how they feel for the betterment of others.  

Joshua 1:9

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

At least 4,400 Allied troops died in the Normandy landings, and another 10,000 were wounded. As the invasion started, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt took to the radio airwaves to ask Americans to join him in prayer: 

“Almighty God: Our sons, pride of our Nation, this day have set upon a mighty endeavor, a struggle to preserve our Republic, our religion, and our civilization, and to set free a suffering humanity … let our hearts be stout, to wait out the long travail, to bear sorrows that may come, to impart our courage unto our sons wheresoever they may be.”

Before it became cultural to call good “evil” and evil “good,” courage was known as the ability to enter very scary and difficult places for the betterment of others. Today our definition of courage is defined by man, the mob or individuals who demand the greater good be destroyed for their own personal self truth. 

“I’m brave,” they say, “If I don’t care what is good for ‘us’ but what is good for ‘me.’” 

To choose to hit the beach instead of hitting the easy button. To choose to set people free instead of setting yourself up for peace and comfort.

To choose to stop the hurt of someone else instead of demand the safety of yourself. 

In his classic book “Spiritual Leadership,” Oswald Sanders lists courage along with humility, sincerity, and integrity as essential qualities for leaders. He writes, 

“Leadership always faces natural human inertia and opposition. But courage follows through with a task until it is done.” – Oswald Sanders

So many times we learn to reach for the easy button and, in doing so. we get skilled at quitting. 

Not finishing what we started because it’s just too hard. We get overwhelmed and hit the easy button. 

The antithesis of courageous leadership, of course, is cowardly leadership, where leaders lack the moral integrity and conviction to do what is right for the right reasons. Here are five common expressions of cowardly leadership:

Expressions of cowardly leadership: 

Conviction is missing.

Clarity is absent.

Confrontation is bundled.

It’s just so much easier to avoid ugly and difficult places altogether. To quit when times get hard and we must remove or option for selfish agendas if we are going to live life forward!

I’M GONNA TAKE YOU TO AN UGLY DAY IN THE MINISTRY OF JESUS. A HARD DAY. I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE CRUCIFIXION. I’M TALKING ABOUT AN UGLY AND TERRIBLY OFFENSIVE SERMON JESUS PREACHED. 

John 6:53-58, 66-67

Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”

BEWARE OFFENSE!

The pain and shame of offense causes many to quit.

How many pastors are quitting?

How many marriages are quitting?

How many Christians are quitting?

All because the road you are on went into a difficult place. Something you didn’t like. Something you didn’t understand so it just made sense to hit the easy button. 

PRIDE IS LOVING YOURSELF MORE THAN THE LOVE OF GOD.

Psalm 31:23

O love the Lord, all you His godly ones! The Lord preserves the faithful and fully recompenses the proud doer.

This message that Jesus takes them into is not just a little bit offensive, it goes against everything they pride themselves for. TALK ABOUT OFFENSIVE!!! (Cannibalism; Most didn’t understand as they were following Jesus for dinner and a show, not to actually be his disciple).

These people went back home. They missed the miracles, the teaching, being in the presence of their long-awaited Messiah. They missed the cross and the empty tomb. They missed Jesus’ ascension into heaven and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Upper Room.Thousands were invited, but only 120 didn’t fall out or lose focus. Worst of all, they missed their day of visitation. Many missed salvation and they missed the opportunity to give that to their kids and their kids’ kids!

GO BACK TO VERSE 67

John 6:67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”

That’s a question Jesus asks every one of us at one time or another. Are you prepared with your answer? Because Jesus doesn’t mind thinning the herd as He did in this case. Weeding out the tares from the grain. The word says that He’s going to do it again when He sets up His Kingdom. 

REALITY CHECK!

Jesus Himself said it’s impossible to avoid being offended. 

Luke 17:1 Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!”

If you shut down, hit the easy button and walk away every time you’re offended, you will never accomplish anything for the Kingdom. You will never unravel the mystery of your identity, purpose and destiny. You’ll be a black cloud that others want to avoid. You will only bring curses on yourself, those around you and your generations.

God wants us all to pay the price for better instead of going into easy. 

PAY THE PRICE!

Many quit because the price is too high. It’s just seems too hard to continue.

Love God more than you love yourself.

Verses on loving God, but look at it through the lens of avoiding the easy button 

Deuteronomy 6:5 – You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

Deuteronomy 10:12 – “Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul”

Deuteronomy 11:1 – “You shall therefore love the Lord your God, and always keep His charge, His statutes, His ordinances, and His commandments.”

Deuteronomy 11:13 – “It shall come about, if you listen obediently to my commandments which I am commanding you today, to love the Lord your God and to serve Him with all your heart and all your soul”

Deuteronomy 11:22 – For if you are careful to keep all this commandment which I am commanding you to do, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and hold fast to Him

Deuteronomy 13:3 – you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deuteronomy 19:9 – if you carefully observe all this commandment which I command you today, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in His ways always—then you shall add three more cities for yourself, besides these three.

Deuteronomy 30:6 – “Moreover the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.

Deuteronomy 30:16 – in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it.

Deuteronomy 30:20 – by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

Joshua 22:5 – Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God and walk in all His ways and keep His commandments and hold fast to Him and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

Joshua 23:11 – So take diligent heed to yourselves to love the Lord your God.

Mark 12:3 – and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’

Matthew 22:37 – And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

Luke 10:27 – And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”

Mark 12:33 – and to love Him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as himself, is much more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

1 John 5:3 – For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.

2 John 1:6 – And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.

1 John 2:5 – but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him:

1 John 4:10 – In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1 John 4:19   – We love, because He first loved us.

OVERCOME IT

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I have called you to walk in victorious power given through My death and resurrection. Don’t be afraid to show your scars. Allow Me to make you a trophy of grace in the area where you were once defeated. 

OVERCOME IT

God wants you to value His voice above all others. It does not matter how loud the other voices may be. This is not to make light of the horrible things you may have experienced in your life. This is learning to place more worth on your destiny than on your history.

Here’s what’s real: where sin does abound, grace does much more abound. In other words, you are not meant to barely survive the terrible things in this life. You are meant to overcome those things.  

Because the Holy Spirit lives in your heart, the vengeance of the Lord should be operating through you. You are not called to be a survivor. You are called to be an overcomer. 

The difference is this. Survivors have open wounds. Overcomers have scars. 

Not only are you called to be an overcomer, you are also called to be a warrior. Warriors do not hide their scars because they are not ashamed of them. A warrior will tell you, “I’ve been through something, but I won in that place.” 

Jesus Christ came back in His glorified body. He could have looked like anything He wanted to, but He kept His scars. He says, “Look at My scars. Check out my scars. They are My credentials that I’m a bad motor-scooter. I slapped death in the face for you all.”

Why would He do this? Because He’s an overcomer. Your scars prove that you are an overcomer, whereas your open wounds prove that you are a victim. Jesus wants you to get healed. Overcome it.

“Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” – John 20:27-28

YOUR PERSONAL REVIVAL

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHTS

My love for you is so strong. I long to spend time with you. Invite me in – I’ll come. I ask nothing more than you believe. It blesses my heart to hear you praise My name.

YOUR PERSONAL REVIVAL

When Moses did his first miracle in Egypt and turned the water into blood, a revival broke out. Then, 1,470 years later, another revival happened when Jesus turned the water into wine. 

Revival is when God shows up and everybody gets with His program. It’s when heaven invades earth. Revival is when people, things, or even a generation is directly affected by the presence of God. 

Sometimes, it’s an experience – a personal encounter with God Almighty. Now, this happens at different levels all the time. But, revival is when it all gets concentrated. We need revival both personally and corporately as the body of Christ.

“True revival,” says a brother by the name of Del Fehsenfeld Jr., “is that divine moment when God bursts upon the scene and displays His glory.” What is His glory? It’s His visible awesomeness.

His glory is evident when we begin to live according to the reality of the life we have in Christ. It’s when everything that was dead starts to come alive because Christ is resurrected from the dead. The Psalmist really knew what he was saying when he wrote the following:

 “Restore us, O Lord God of hosts! Let your face shine, that we may be saved!” – Psalm 80:19

 “Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?” – Psalm 85:6

When we value the presence of God, we begin to rejoice in Him. The reason so many Christians have to be kick-started to worship God is because they do not yet have a high value for His presence.

You have to learn what a big deal it is to get into the presence of God and how incredible it is! It is such a privilege to enter into His presence. If all you have to do to cooperate is raise your hands and cry out to Him, that’s not asking too much. It’s just step one in your personal revival.

CELEBRATING WITH GOD

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I have made you to be more than conquerors. All I have promised, I will perform. Stand in My love and grace this day knowing I Am for you and I Am in you to accomplish all I have for you.

CELEBRATING WITH GOD?

I want to be known of God. I know that God knows me. But I want to be known of God and known in heaven as somebody who cooperates with the Holy Spirit and with heaven. I want to be known as one who obeys God rather than men. One who serves men instead of wanting to be served.  

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us…” — Hebrews 12:1

The author of Hebrew’s is saying, “Since heaven is rooting, believing, and trusting in you, you might as well do away with the things that are keeping you from running this race to the fullest.” It’s an amazing thing to know that heaven is rooting for us. It’s a sense of accountability because heaven believes in us! God is trusting us with stuff – Kingdom stuff.

Jesus didn’t care if He was celebrated on earth. He really and truly didn’t. He knew He was celebrated in heaven. He heard the Father say, 

“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”—Matthew 3:17

He heard the Father say what we just read, and then immediately the devil began to test Him. He said, “If you are the Son of God, turn that stone into bread, jump off this cliff…” The devil was actually coming against the Word the Father had spoken to Jesus. 

Guys, if you have prophetic words over your life, you haven’t been talking to snakes again, have you? Because the enemy will always ask you, “Did God really say that? Did he really mean it? Are you sure?” He doesn’t want that word to come true in your life. 

God’s word is full of promises. Over and over again, God has demonstrated His love for us and shown us the victory we already have in Christ. Let’s, you and I, not become sidelined by the voice of the enemy. That snake is a liar. You and I are going to run the race marked out for us, knowing that all of heaven is cheering us on and celebrating our awesome finish. 

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…” – Hebrews 12:2

June 6 – D-Day

June 6, 2021 – D-DAY

Today is June 6. 177 years ago today, the D-Day Invasion of Normandy took place.

Codenamed Operation Overlord, the battle began on June 6, 1944, also known as D-Day, when some 156,000 American, British and Canadian forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of France’s Normandy region. The invasion was one of the largest amphibious military assaults in history and required extensive planning.

Prior to D-Day, the Allies conducted a large-scale deception campaign designed to mislead the Germans about the intended invasion target. By late August 1944, all of northern France had been liberated, and by the following spring the Allies had defeated the Germans. The Normandy landings have been called the beginning of the end of war in Europe.

OUR PRESIDENT CALLED FOR PRAYER
He didn’t call for a special “Day of Prayer.” He called for continued prayer. He knew that by God’s Grace, and the righteousness of our cause, that our sons would triumph. And he knew that with God’s blessing, we would prevail over the unholy forces of our enemy.
OVER LORD – WATCH OVER US, LORD

77 years ago today on June 6 or 66.

77 and 66 are interesting numbers to me.

66: When God is a faithful witness in humanity
There are six words in Hebrew and in Greek that we translate Man

The Bible, written in Hebrew and in Greek, has 66 books in it.

The word MAN occurs SIX times in Genesis chapter SIX. (verses 3,5,6, 2 times in 7, 9)
The word MAN occurs SIX times in II Chronicles chapter SIX. (verses 5,16,22,29,30,36)
The word MAN occurs SIX times in Galatians chapter SIX. (verses 1,3,4,5,7,17)

There are seven dispensations in the Bible. MAN is in control of SIX. The seventh dispensation (the millennium) the Lord is in control.

The seven dispensations are: 


Innocence – from the creation to the fall – MAN’sConscience – from the fall to the Flood – MAN’sHuman Government – from the Flood to the call of Abraham – MAN’sPromise – from the call of Abraham to the giving of the Law at Sinai under Moses – MAN’sLaw – from Sinai to Calvary – MAN’sGrace – from Calvary to the Kingdom – MAN’sKingdom – the 1000-year Messianic Era – GOD’s.

Joshua is the SIXTH book of the Old Testament:
The book of Joshua is:
-The first book named after a MAN.
-The word Joshua has SIX letters. 
-The word MEN occurs SIX times in Joshua SIX (verses 2,3,9,13,22,23)
-Israel marches around Jericho SIX times in chapter SIX.
-SIX times once a day for SIX days, the seventh day – SEVEN times (millennial reign)
-Joshua has 24 (4 x SIX) chapters.
-The word MAN occurs 30 (5 x SIX) times in Joshua.

Romans is the SIXTH book of the New Testament:
The book of Romans is:
-The word Romans has SIX letters. (Only book in NT with SIX letters.)
-Romans has the word MAN in it – RoMANs (only book in the Bible with MAN)
-MAN is the SIXTH word in Romans CHAPTER SIX:SIX(6:6)

Romans 6:6
knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.


MAN is the SIXTH word in SIX verses in Romans (2:1, 2:3, 2:6, 3:28, 5:7, 6:6)

A witness of or by God’s Spirit: 77

Jesus is the 77th name from God in Luke’s genealogy at the 
beginning of his book.
• The word “church” and the phrase “house of God” appear 
exactly 77 times in Scripture.

There is no kingdom advancement without warfare

Matthew 16:18
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

You need to know that when you were born again, part of your Faith package came with the God-given ability to crash the gates of hell and advance the kingdom of heaven into brand new places.

Your King is a warrior king
Divine Invader

Because the church has a minimal understanding of King and Kingdom and the warfare and violence that goes with advancement …

I think the church is a lot better at foxhole christianity.

FOXHOLE CHRISTIANITY
Where we just sit and hope for deliverance from somebody else and that we don’t get hurt.

“We are not going to dig foxholes and wait for the enemy to come shooting at us. We are going to move ahead, and move fast.”
“When you dig a foxhole, you dig a grave. When you are in that foxhole and fire at the enemy, he knows your exact location…We will keep moving and the enemy will always hit where we have been and not where we are.”

Unfortunately, because of the lack of a value for advancement, the whole Christian world has been much better at trying to meet God and present our case to the world from where we used to be and not from where we are supposed to be.

CHRISTIANS WHO HAVE HEAVEN INVADING THEIR EARTH ARE CHRISTIANS WHO WILL INVADE THE EARTH WITH HIS KINGDOM.

Patton’s theory was that if the enemy was constantly under attack, there would not be any need to defend. He realized that the force moving in offensive warfare had an advantage over the defending forces. He said, “We will fight on our terms and we will win.”

In spiritual warfare, if you understand the objective of warfare is the defeat of the enemy, you will not be easily reduced to a defensive position.
To gain total victory, offensive fronts are required.

KINGDOM ADVANCEMENT IS ALL ABOUT WARFARE

Matthew 11:12 (KJV)
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Matthew 11:13 (New Living Translation)
And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.

Everything changed with John the Baptist, from defensive to offensive. Now the Kingdom advances through the violent warfare of Kingdom people attacking the enemies ground and claiming it for Jesus.

Once John’s ministry began, things changed.
John the Baptist is a Jewish prophet and a christian saint.
He was the true high priest by birthright, as the son of Zechariah.
He is both Old Testament and New Testament.
Jesus said there was nobody else like him. He was uniquely supernatural (Matthew 11).
The Bible said he came in the spirit of Elijah (that’s all about warfare) Luke 1:17
He pointed out King Jesus as the man who takes away the sins of the world (that’s warfare). He doesn’t cover it up but takes it away. That’s warfare.

And with that business came the business of heaven invading earth, and that’s the warfare Jesus is talking about.

THE JOB OF JOHN THE BAPTIST WAS TO MAKE A PEOPLE READY TO RECIVE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WHICH IS GOD’S DIVINITY ENTERING INTO MAN’S HUMANITY.

Jesus may have come to demonstrate the Father and His love, but make no mistake: Jesus is a warrior. He’s the Captain of the Lord’s Armies (Joshua 5:14) and He means business. He’s not playing.

There is no kingdom advancement without warfare.

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I Am proud of who you are and excited to watch you grow to fulfill your destiny. Love others until the return of Christ. Especially those who don’t yet know they are part of our family.

SHOWING THE FAMILY RESEMBLANCE?
 


The book of Matthew was written by a Jewish brother to a Jewish people. In it, He reveals Jesus as the king and rightful heir to the throne of David. To present Jesus as king, he had to prove the bloodline. 

Now, our Biblical worldview is actually from a “western lens”. We’re Americans, on top of that, we’re Texans, which makes us Americans on steroids. Amen.


Genealogy is key in Matthew. It proves beyond a shadow of a doubt Christ was a direct descendant of the house of David. Some people might tell you, “You look just like your mother,” or “You get that from my dad.” 

Jesus, like David, was a man after God’s own heart. He displayed all the characteristics of a selfless-king who put his people’s needs first. 

That’s what genealogy is all about – family resemblance. So, let me ask you this: as part of the family of God, are you displaying any of your heavenly Father’s traits? Are love, mercy and forgiveness seen in your life? It should be your daily goal to look more and more like your Daddy. Chew on that for a minute.


Friend, if you have surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and asked Him to be your Lord, you are in the family! You are loved by our Father, more than you know. Act like it. When you do, you look like Him too.

“Jesus said to him, ‘Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?’” – John 14:9

DISTRACTED AND DISABLED?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I know My plan for you, but do you? I can only lead you to where you will follow, and your destiny is only found if you seek it. Are you seeking and asking? Knock and I’ll open the door of your purpose to you. 

DISTRACTED AND DISABLED?

Are you seeking a word – a personal word just for you – from the Lord? If you’re not, you should be. I’m always seeking a word. I need to know what the Lord has for me. I don’t want to miss it, so I just outright ask Him, “Lord, I need a word. Do you have one for me?”

When I began seeking God for prophetic phrases for the year, one of the big phrases He gave me was “alignment for assignment.” I recognized right away it was a personal word for me. There were opportunities in front of me that were good things. But they weren’t my assignment of rescuing slaves, feeding the hungry, and giving orphans a home.

Then, I realized that word was for OpenDoor Church and the entire body of Christ. “Alignment for assignment” is a huge word for these end times. I had never heard that before, but when I preached on it at my New Beginnings Conference in January, when I put it out there, prophets all over the nation began to say the same thing.

My friends, the time is short and the fields are white! People are going to hell in the proverbial hand basket, so it’s imperative we know our assignment. Once we know our assignment, it’s also imperative we’re not distracted.

Distraction is a simple tool the enemy uses to keep you from entering your Promised Land. And if you are already in your Promised Land, he wants to keep you from planting seeds. He’ll do anything to keep you from a harvest.

That’s why alignment for assignment is so important. There are a lot of good things you can be involved with, but there’s a big difference between something being good and something being God. 

Do you know your assignment? Ask the Lord for a word. Go after it until He answers you. If you know your assignment, are you in alignment going after all God has for you? Or are you distracted and disabled by the enemy? Align yourself. Eternal lives depend on it.

“Only, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each, in this manner let him walk. And so I direct in all the churches.” – 1 Corinthians 7:17
