ARE HIS PRIORITIES YOUR PRIORITIES?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I created you for relationship with Me. Relationship is complex and multi-faceted. You are My creation, My child, but I also want you to be My friend. Align with My priorities and I will reveal a side of My nature you’ve never experienced before. 

ARE HIS PRIORITIES YOUR PRIORITIES?

This is what friendship with God looks like: God comes down into your world and you begin to partner with Him, face to face. “Face to face” is an intimate term. It’s the cherubim flying round and round the mercy seat who see Jesus in the past, present and future and have their minds blown by His goodness. We need to be like them.

If you’re going to have close friends, you need to have similar priorities. Do you know how many close friends I have who don’t love OpenDoor Church? Zero. Do you know how many close friends I have who don’t have a heart for abolishing slavery or taking care of orphans? None. What is that?

It’s this: when you begin to become the friend of God, you begin to prioritize what Jesus prioritizes. You learn those priorities through friendship – through living life with Him every single day. By becoming His friend, you begin to live life with Him. Friendship is about the people you do life with.

In Luke 12 where Jesus teaches the fear of God – which means you love what God loves and you hate what God hates – you know what it says? 

“I say to you, My friends , do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.” – Luke 12:4

Jesus is saying, “Do not worry about the priorities of the enemies of God.” Instead, consider the priorities of God Almighty Himself. Moses was like that and God responded in an amazing way. 

“Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend…” – Exodus 33:1

God called Moses His “friend.” He is the only human being recorded in the Word that God Himself refers to in such an amazing way because friendship is back and forth. It implies equal footing. There were even times God listened to Moses and acted on what this man said all because they were friends – they had a relationship and were on the same page.

Are you on the same page as God? Do you have the kind of relationship where He can count on you the way a friend does? Love what He loves and hate what He hates. Make His priorities your priorities and see how it changes your relationship.

YOU ARE THE CHURCH

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I have given you My mind. You have the ability to tap into it, along with My heart. Love what I love and work to redeem what I hate. You were made to bring life.

YOU ARE THE CHURCH

While there are so many great theologians that teach so many wonderful things about the seven churches listed in Revelation, I think there are lots of different layers of revelation about these churches that we tend to miss.

We also tend to miss how those churches pertain to our lives. They are us.

When you look at how Jesus judges the churches, He bases it off three things: 

What do you love? 

What do you hate? 

What is it that moves you?

The Church has failed in teaching the Body of Christ what we should hate. The opposite of love is not hate, the opposite of love is selfishness. So what should we hate? Anything God hates!

We should hate slavery, poverty, deception, corruption, curses, persecution, homelessness, double-mindedness, loneliness, sickness, death – are you getting my drift? 

If these things don’t motivate you to bring the Kingdom of heaven to earth, your faith may be weak, lukewarm or dead. But I have good news for you. 

If you want to know how Jesus rules and reigns in the midst of a church that is dead? Read Revelation 3:1-6. How does Jesus rule and reign with a church that is weak, but they are faithful? Read Revelation 3:7-13. How does Jesus rule and reign in the midst of a people that are lukewarm, read Revelation 3:14-22.

My friends, we are the church -– you and I. Know what you love. Know what you hate and what moves you. Align that with the Father and see how He uses you today.

REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

The most important search you can make is for your identity. It will lead you to Me. It will lead you to your purpose and your destiny. Get into alignment for your assignment. Find out who you are to Me.

REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE

Assignment comes from identity. It comes out of who God says you are. So how do you figure this out? You need to have some pretty radical ongoing encounters with God for you to learn who God is to you and who you are to Him. 

Here at OpenDoor, we’re all about kicking religion and poverty in the teeth upon behalf of people in bondage and desperate circumstances. We are redemption and transformation fanatics and we believe we have a mandate to see what redemption looks like in all kinds of different areas. We are madly in love with Jesus, we are Jesus people. This is our identity. 

Because of that, our assignment is to feed desperate people at the OpenDoor Food Bank and our monthly homeless outreach. We free girls and boys from sexual slavery and set them up for an abundant life. Our assignment is the action we take, and believe me, we’re all about accomplishing great vision. 

Not long after he took office, the president had one of the most successful weeks in his short tenure and all of it was tarnished by a tweet that was out of his assignment. Nobody talked about the victories he had because they were busy blowing the controversial comment he made way out of proportion.

Know this: Stepping out of your assignment can knock you out of alignment or put you back a few steps in the process. Let’s not do that.

Being president is hard, but so is being you. You’ve got to overcome both the enemy and the in-a-me to stay in alignment. Remember who you are and whose you are. When you know you’re His child, you will act accordingly and impact the world around you for Jesus. That’s your assignment. 

…he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— Ephesians 1:5

JUMP FOR JESUS

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I Am not a stingy God. I lavishly provide all you need. At times, it may not seem to be all you want, but I Am all you need. Set your mind on things above, not on the earth.

JUMP FOR JESUS

There’s a lot of warfare between heaven and earth. If you want to move from a spirit of poverty into abundance, let me tell you, that doesn’t just happen because God wants it to happen. 

God wants it to happen so much that when you enter into heaven, asphalt is gold. Did you hear that? God uses gold like we use gravel.

You have to work toward upgrade. I’m not talking about working for salvation. I’m talking about working to deliver a baby – whatever your baby is – ministry, financial freedom, mental stability or strong relationships – the list goes on. 

I’m talking about co-laboring with the Lord in such a way that you get sold out to how it is in heaven. When you do, you’re saying, “I want that King to rule and reign in my life, right now. I’ve made my mind subject to Him. I’m going to make my words and my actions subject to Him. I’m going to be somebody who lives like I’m in heaven right now and when Jesus says, ‘Jump’ I have to say ‘How high?’ And it’s my joy.” Amen.

Guys, in the midst of trying to carry out God’s plan and God’s heart, there’s all this warfare and there are in fact victims and casualties of warfare. Yes, a lot of warfare goes into upgrade.

I want to tell you, the greatest victim – the most common casualty of the spiritual warfare you and I fight is not you. It’s not me. It’s not even the people who don’t see the kingdom move. The greatest victim is King Jesus. 

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. – John 10:10

Do you want an upgrade to abundance? Do you want to go higher and deeper? Jump for Jesus and watch the Kingdom move.

BE STILL AND KNOW

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I desire more than anything for you to walk with me. I won’t yell. You must be quiet at times to hear me. Trust My Holy Spirit to guide you. Trust My word. Trust I will take care of you.

BE STILL AND KNOW

If it’s so normal to pray in the Bible with hands stretched out, why is it taboo in the Church? We need to check our dignity at the door as we go after the deity of Jesus. 

There are so many patterns and scriptures in the Bible about how to do things in a Kingdom way. However, in the church, because we value our dignity and control so much, we don’t allow Jesus to be King. 

We need quiet listening time and intimacy with God, alone and as a congregation. This is vital for a believer! For God to move a certain way, sometimes we just have to be quiet. We have to learn stillness in how we live our lives if we’re going to bring stillness into this place – the church. 

We know what stillness is. It’s trust, surrender and it’s expectancy. Trusting and surrendering to the Lord because you know He’s awesome even when you don’t know what He’s going to do. 

Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?” – Romans 11:34

Certainly not me, nor you for that matter. If the Jews and early church believers prayed with hands raised to the heavens, why do we think it’s odd? I think we care too much about what “sister Susie Rottenheart” might think of us. 

How about we concern ourselves with what God thinks of us? In Romans 1:16, Paul states he is not ashamed of the Gospel. Are you? I promise you, this ol’ boy from Johnson County is not.

KINGDOM OF PEACE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I have said I will never leave you nor forsake you. You are secure in Me. Invite My Spirit to have dominion in your life and I will give you peace. 

KINGDOM OF PEACE

You can’t bring the Kingdom if you’re not a subject of God’s Kingdom. If you are a subject of the kingdom, that means you’re willing to do whatever the King tells you. You subject yourself to the King. 

Why? Because it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you and me His Kingdom. Did you catch that? There’s a gift attached to being subject to King Jesus! Now, hold that thought.

The Kingdom is where the king has dominion. That’s where things are finally right. If you’ve got the Kingdom in your marriage, finances, and relationship with your kids, Jesus rules and reigns, and things are wonderful. That’s peace!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure…” – Psalms 122:6

So, my friends, when the Bible tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, we’re not just praying for the absence of conflict, we’re asking God to rule and reign there. We’re asking Him to have dominion in the hearts and minds of our Jewish brothers and sisters. When we do, there’s what?

The gift of security!  Another translation of the word for “secure” is the word “prosper.” Man, I love that! Are you a subject of the King willing to do whatever He tells you with your life? If you are, you will be secure and prosperous. That’s the Kingdom!

So, I double dog dare you today, to subject yourself to King Jesus today and say, “Have your way in me.” Let Him rule and reign. And be obedient to pray for your Jewish brothers and sisters. They’ll be blessed and so will you!

NO KING BUT KING JESUS

GOD AND COUNTRY PART 1 – NO KING BUT KING JESUS

On July 2, 1776, Congress voted to approve a complete separation from England. Two days later, July 4, the early draft of the Declaration of Independence was signed. Four days later, members of Congress took the document and read it out loud from the steps of Independence Hall, proclaiming it to the city of Philadelphia. Afterward, they rang the Liberty Bell. The inscription on the top of the bell is

Leviticus 25:10
“Proclaim liberty throughout the land and to all the inhabitants thereof.”

The Declaration of Independence was the birth certificate for this nation, but the men who signed it knew when they signed this birth certificate, it would become a death warrant for them. The closing paragraph states,

“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance of the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”

The 56 Founding Fathers, 27 of whom were trained as ministers, took their pledge seriously. On the morning of the signing, there was silence and gloom as each man was called up to the table of the President of Congress to sign the document. They knew it could mean their death by hanging.

Most wars have a motto. The motto of World War II was “Remember Pearl Harbor.” The motto during the Texas War for Independence was “Remember the Alamo.” The spiritual emphasis, directed toward King George III, who violated God’s laws, gave rise to this motto during the American Revolution:

“No King but King Jesus.”

The Founding Fathers passed the torch to us. It is our responsibility to not let it go out.

Jesus is the only one worthy of being your true King.

Israel was always being tempted to go after and serve another King and another Kingdom. Jesus himself was tempted in the wilderness to bow His Holy knee to another king in order to be given the kingdoms of the world.

But no cigar!
Our Founding Fathers – again, 27 of whom were preachers–listed 27 terrible things the King of England had done.

The number 27 represents when things are revealed by the light of God’s truth. In this, the numbers 21, 22 and 27 are very much alike.

27: Things unveiled and revealed in God’s presence

Like the number 22, when the light comes on God says, “Tada!” I think He likes to stamp the number twenty-seven on those things, except for when He is specifically revealing THE HEART OF THE FATHER.

It’s not a very prolific number in the Bible, being found only six times. But the term “the candlestick” appears twenty-seven times, and I think it has to do with how “the light comes on” and when the presence of God is made manifest.
• Abraham is revealed through twenty-seven books in the Bible.
• Twenty-seven is the number of generations from David to Christ according to the Gospel of Matthew. (Matthew 1:1- 17). That is when Jesus showed up and went, “Tada!” I AM HERE TO SHOW YOU WHAT THE FATHER LOOKS LIKE
• There are twenty-seven books in the New Testament
And what is twenty-seven? Three to the third power (3 x 3 x 3). It is the revelation of all things Jesus. His candlestick burns bright and He will not remove it because we will not leave our first love.
So, certainly progressive revelation and then light of truth are connected with the number twenty-seven. BUT AGAIN, I THINK SPECIFICALLY WITH HOW JESUS REVEALS THE HEART OF THE FATHER.
Prophetically, those 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence wrote down these 56 words:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.

56 is a biblical and kingdom number that seems to be associated
with making a covenant with God in the presence of your enemies

Prophetic meaning of 56:
Making a covenant with God to save you from the oppression of your enemies.

When David was captured by the Philistines and sent to their capital Gath-which was known as the home of giants–He wrote the 56th Psalm:

Psalms 56

Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; Fighting all day he oppresses me.
2 My enemies would hound me all day, For there are many who fight against me, O Most High.
3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
4 In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?
5 All day they twist my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 They gather together, They hide, they mark my steps, When they lie in wait for my life.
7 Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God!
8 You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?
9 When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me.
10 In God (I will praise His word), In the Lord (I will praise His word),
11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
12 Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God; I will render praises to You,
13 For You have delivered my soul from death. Have You not kept my feet from falling, That I may walk before God In the light of the living?

Do you see going into covenant with God to save you from the oppression of your enemies?

Psalms 56 has 13 verses.
The 56 signers of Declaration represented the 13 original colonies that became states.
13 is the number for rebellion, and don’t forget, there is righteous rebellion in the Kingdom.

The word “heart,” the word “blood,” the word “separate” all have a gematria or a numerical value of 56 – as do the words Jehovah and Redeem.

56 is 2x2x2x7

JESUS* FAITHFUL WITNESS USA
AMERICA WAS BORN TO BE A FAITHFUL WITNESS OF KING JESUS.

John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on July 4, 1826—the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.

The Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights are both holy documents and, as Thomas Jefferson said:

“The Price of freedom is eternal vigilance.”
– Thomas Jefferson

You can’t be lazy and be free.
You will not stay free if you do not fight for it.

The prophet Tom Petty said, “Everybody’s got to be fight to be free.”

There is no freedom if you are independent from King Jesus. He’s the one who brings freedom.

John 8:34-36
“Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; (employees come and go) the son remains forever (family belongs to the house). So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

When King Jesus gave His mission statement, He declared through the prophet Isaiah:

Luke 4:18-19
‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.’

10 scriptures on the reality of freedom that all of us have to fight for:

2 Corinthians 3:17 
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

1 Corinthians 6:12 
“Everything is permissible for me” – but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me” – but I will not be mastered by anything.

John 8:36 
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Galatians 5:1 
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Galatians 3:22 
But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

Ephesians 3:12 
In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

Psalm 119:45 
I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.

Galatians 5:13-14 
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Romans 6:22 
But now that you have been set free from sin and become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

1 Peter 2:16 
Live as free men, but do not use your freedom to cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.

Jesus is 888 based on the Greek gematria of the Greek word for Jesus “Iēsous”

THE POWER OF BAPTISM

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I want you to be baptized in both water and fire. Water to declare your intentions and fire to declare Mine. Let the fire of My Holy Spirit give you the blueprint to fulfill My plan for your life. I Am well pleased with you. 

THE POWER OF BAPTISM

Today, I want to talk to you about baptism. Let’s start out with what it’s not: The power of baptism is not about joining a church. The power of baptism is not about you being saved. 

My friends, the power of baptism is in the prophetic act of baptism. The reason people don’t understand the power of baptism as an act of prophecy is because everybody thinks it’s about salvation – that if you’re not baptized, you’re not saved. Praise God Jesus didn’t say that to the thief on the cross. 

“Thank you Mr. Thief for professing your faith in me, but you must be baptized before you can enter paradise. Sorry!”

No. I don’t believe that baptism is a salvation issue, I believe that baptism is a victory issue. Baptism is a prophetic act that initiates supernatural victory into your life. The book of Luke records Jesus’ words on the subject:

“But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished!” – Luke 12:50

What does that mean? This is what Jesus was saying, “When I got baptized in the Jordan River, it initiated something that I’m not done with. I have to carry it out.”

Baptism initiates supernatural power, but it’s not over with when you get baptized. Your marriage wasn’t over as soon as the wedding was done. The wedding initiated your marriage. Amen. 

Okay, the prophetic act of being baptized initiates a supernatural response from heaven that you get to walk in for the rest of your life. Think about that. Chew on it like the spiritual beef jerky it is and ask the Lord what He wants you to accomplish. He’s given you the power, now He just needs a partner to carry it out.

GOD SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I understand all languages, for I gave them. I hear you when you cry out, when you shout and when you can’t find words. I long to hear from you whether you speak quietly, shout or sing. I speak your language. 

GOD SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE

If you’re religious, there’s one way to do things and everybody has to do things your way. It doesn’t matter if you’re a mainline denomination or a Muslim, religion is religion. It always cares more for traditions than people. 

Unlike religion, in the Kingdom, there’s variety. The Word tells us that before the throne there’s every nation, kindred, and tongue. Not everybody speaks the same language in heaven. Yes, the Bible says that. 

While that may bother you, God is not threatened by that. All that variety adds something beautiful. Prayer is just like that. There is the treasure chest of meditation, prayer, declaration, prophesying, shouting, calling, and crying out.

Sometimes, a formal prayer seems appropriate. Other times, all you’ll know how to do is pray in the Spirit. Still other times, your soul cries out silently. 

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. – Romans 8:26

I admit it. I pray loud. There are three English words used for high volume prayer; shout, cry out, and call. There are going to be times you’re not going to know what to pray but you’ll know you can’t do it quietly. Those are the times you shout “Jesus!” 

There’s power in the way you approach the Lord. You need to have spontaneous prayer, supernatural prayer where you pray in the Spirit, and well-crafted prayers that you comb through scripture to find. These are prayers you think about and write out to convey an exact longing or message. 

There are many ways to pray and the way you approach the Lord is all your own, so come before the King. Do you believe there’s a big payoff for prayer? Whisper, groan or cry out. He speaks your language, unspoken or not.
