GET OUT OF MY FIELD

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

My Father has given you a field. Don’t go planting your seeds in someone else’s territory. It will not yield a harvest. Stay with what He has for you. His ways are higher than yours.

GET OUT OF MY FIELD

God wants a harvest out of you. That’s why He gave you a very specific territory – your job, family, city – whatever your circle of influence is. That’s also why He gave you a testimony – your unique story to touch the lives of the lost and hurting.

The problem is, we sometimes try to help God by sharing our territory and adding to our testimony. That, my friend, is a big mistake because you can’t plant two different seeds beside each other. 

 “You shall not sow your vineyard with different kinds of seed, lest the yield of the seed which you have sown and the fruit of your vineyard be defiled.” – Deuteronomy 22:9

Stick to your territory and your unique assignment. For example, there are people who want to partner with our church in saving girls out of sex trafficking, but they say, “You don’t have to do that in India or Uganda. You can do that here.”

Look, there’s nothing wrong with what they’re doing, but get out of my field! This is what God has brought to me. This is what the Lord has told me to steward and it’s in India right now. 

Don’t be mad at me because I’ve got ‘maters and you’ve got cucumbers. I’m not going to cross-pollinate with you. Why? Because I want to see fruit and it’s fruit – lives liberated and transformed – that actually glorifies the Lord. 

When Paul and Barnabas had a disagreement in Acts 15, they didn’t try to kill each other. They simply parted ways. Both of them went on to preach the Gospel and they bore more fruit separately than they could have together.  

God has a unique plan for you. Don’t compromise what God has told you to do because you want to partner with someone else. Pray for them and go about your business. If you try to plant your ‘maters in with my cucumbers, neither of us will have a harvest.

DOING CHURCH?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I Am not only the light of the world, I Am the light of your life. Delight in Me. I will show you great and mighty things – parts of Me and My Kingdom – that you do not know.  

DOING CHURCH? 

When you look at how Jesus judges the churches in the book of Revelation, He bases it off three things. What do you love? What do you hate and what moves you?

The Church has failed in teaching the body of Christ what we should hate. The opposite of love is not hate, the opposite of love is selfishness. Check out the Loveless Church:

“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands. I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.  – Revelation 2:1-6

He’s saying they know how to do church really well. They’ve lived out Christianity well. However, they left their first love. First love has to do with when you first get saved. It’s the game-changer in your life – you are now aware of God’s Presence and you don’t consider anything without considering the Presence of the Lord in your life.

Now, a candlestick represents the presence of God and how He is made manifest. Being made manifest is how He shows up. So, the seven stars are the seven churches and the seven candlesticks are how Jesus shows up in those churches. 

Jesus is saying, “Because you don’t want Me around anymore, you think you can just do church without Me. You can do church without Me, and I’ll just remove My candlestick.” 

That is a very bad thing and many Christians don’t even know they no longer have a candlestick! We no longer spend time in His presence because we’ve traded knowledge of Him for relationship with Him.

Have you lost your first love? Have you traded relationship for knowledge and are no longer under His light? Repent. He will bring His candlestick back if you find your first love.

YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

Man is destined for trouble as surely as sparks fly upward. Do not let doubt or disappointment keep you from Me. I do My best work in the midst of a mess.

YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED

Cities in the Bible represent different things. Bethlehem is the place where Jesus is born and it represents incredible disappointment. 

I travel to the Pacific Northwest fairly often. There’s a place on the Pacific Ocean in Oregon called Cape Disappointment. It’s the place where Lewis and Clark finally found the ocean. 

Cause for celebration? Hardly! They thought there was going to be somebody there and there wasn’t so they named it Cape Disappointment. Just like that, Bethlehem is a place that represents when God says something is going to be awesome, then you dive down into a pit thinking, “I thought it was going to be better than this.”

Mary, mother of Jesus, likely asked that question. I can imagine her thinking, “I thought good things were going to happen. I thought You said I was blessed. This doesn’t seem like I’m blessed to me. My baby is born in abject poverty. My husband has been shamed and dishonored. I have been thrown out with the animals and You said I was the most highly favored woman on the planet earth. How does that work?”

Nobody escapes that. Every single one of us goes through terrible things when we thought things were going to be better. Nobody knows that better than Jesus Himself.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

Jesus is always born in these kinds of situations. God loves to bless a horrible mess. What needs to be born in your life? Don’t get discouraged when all hell breaks loose. That’s the sign that Jesus is fixing to show up, and believe me, you won’t be disappointed!

NASA ALSO WARNS OF WHAT THEY CALL A WOBBLE MOON

NASA’s Sea Level Change Science Team at the University of Hawaii has discovered a “wobble” in the Moon’s orbit. 

This affects the gravitational pull and tides 

THE MOON

• Represents the Church or the Bride of Christ – reflecting the Son’s light

• Seen as female with a 28-day cycle

• Signs in the moon are a word to the Church

• Represents the Hebrew calendar 

NASA says this will create rising sea levels and “a decade of dramatic increases in flood numbers” in the 2030s.

More than 2000 floods each year by the 2030s.Only 600 floods in 2019

Combination of the moon’s gravitation pull, which causes tides, and climate change are the reasons behind the expected flooding. (Climate change = the earth & time are winding down)

Some floods could happen in clusters and last over a month.

Some cities may experience a flood in consecutive days or every second day.

Wobble Moon is connected to the moon’s 18.6 year cycle

Matthew 18:6 – “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me— to stumble (wobble) , it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea (massive flooding) .”

HOW DOES THE 18.6 YEAR CYCLE WORK?

1. The plane of the Moon’s orbit is close to the plane of Earth’s orbit around the Sun, but not identical — the Moon orbits us in a plane which is tilted by 5.1 degree relative to the ecliptic.

Revelation 5:1 – Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals.

According to Isaiah 14:13, the throne of God is in the North—Polaris, the North Star—if you find it, you’ll never be lost again. You can find your way home.From our firmament, or perspective on earth, the entire universe revolves around Polaris.

Revelation 5:2-8 – And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?” 3 But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. 4 I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. 5 Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! THE UNIVERSE ABSOLUTELY DOES REVOLVE AROUND JESUS ON HIS THRONE!

Because of the moon’s 5.1 degree tilt in its orbit, the Moon can, at times, be seen to rise and set in extreme places. The big deal here is that it can rise and set north or south of the sun.

THE SUN

• Represents the Glory of God – His light

• Seen as male

• Signs in the sun are a word to the nations

• Represents the Gregorian (gentile) calendar

AS IT WAS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH:

1. Two dams broke in Chinese controlled Mongolia last week due to major flooding

2. The Ahr River (left tributary of the Rhine) flooded major parts of Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium. (GRX GERMAN FLOODING)

Swept away houses with people on the roofs begging for rescue.Over 200 dead, 700 injured and hundreds still missing

3. Historic flooding in Detroit and lower Michigan in late June caused power outages, flooded basements, as six (flesh of man) inches of rain fell in just 5 (grace of God) hours. 

Previous rainfall record for Michigan was four inches.

4. Flash Flooding in Fonda, New York and in El Paso, Texas during unseasonal torrential rainstorms

AS IT WAS IN THE DAYS OF LOT

1. Pacific Northwest Heat Wave with sustained temperatures over 100 degrees causing hundreds of deaths in Oregon, Washington and British Colombia

Highest temperatures in centuries – 108 degrees in Seattle new recordWeather stations in Forks, WA (where “Twilight” series was filmed) hit 118 degrees.Few air conditioners as it never gets that hot.

2. Unseasonal Fire engulfing Mt. Tolman on Colville Reservation in Eastern Washington

7 homes destroyedTown of Nespelem (where Chief Joseph is buried) evacuated.

3. Mid-west “Mega Drought” brings grasshopper plague

Ranchers fear the grasshoppers will strip crops bareNo food for cattle, so beef prices will increaseEating every green leaf on the trees in central Montana

4. California Rattlesnake Infestation – heat driving snakes into cities to find water

5. California drought set to record most devastating fire season yet. 

6. Song bird populations in Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky dying of mysterious disease that attacks their neurological system and melts their eyes.

7. African drought is bad, with 400,000 people are at severe risk of starvation in Madagascar alone

8. 55 nations facing severe food crisis this year due to drought, flood, disease and war. 

BIRTH PANGS – speed up and get more intense

Isaiah 13:6-8 – “Wail, for the day of the Lord is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore all hands will be limp, Every man’s heart will melt, 8 And they will be afraid. Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them; They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth…”

Matthew 24:4-8 –  And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

The signs of the end times—plagues, natural disasters and heartache—are a comfort to believers who understand prophecy. But to unbelievers they are an omen that should not be taken lightly.

SHOUT TO THE LORD!

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I created you. I already know what you’re going through. Come to me with your dirty face, dirty hands, and all your mess. I will gently guide you back onto My path for your life. Don’t be embarrassed to cry out.

SHOUT TO THE LORD

Some might tell you there is a certain way to communicate with the Creator of the Universe. Hogwash! He will hear you and answer you when you toss aside ‘religion’ and step into ‘relationship’ with Him. All throughout the Bible, righteous people in a desperate situation gave a shout! 

“The righteous cry and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. – Psalms 34:17

The psalmist wrote

“When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.”  – Psalms 56:9 

Elijah cried out and God revived a dead child. Jehoshaphat cried out and God delivered him from death. Hezekiah cried out and God gave him victory. Jesus’ disciples cried out in a storm and Jesus calmed the sea.  

Just like at Jericho, that’s the place of shouting, God will cause walls to fall down and enemies to be exposed. A shout out to the Lord gets a shout back to you. How do I know?

Blind Bartimaeus called out to the Lord in a radical way. Jesus stopped and called back out to him. A shout out to heaven gets a shout back to you. 

Now, you may have quiet, serious prayers, then there are desperate times when all you can do is shout. You may be praising Him and you may be crying out in desperation. Talk to Him as you would your best friend. I call Him Daddy, Papa, Holy Father – it depends on my situation. 

If you have a personal relationship with Him, don’t let the Pharisees of today tell you how and when you can talk to Him. Be real and shout to the Lord.

SHOTGUN OR RIFLE?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

While you have doubt about yourself and your purpose, I do not. I know how I have wired you. Look to Me as your true north. I will point you in the direction of your assignment. Ask and it shall be given. 

SHOTGUN OR RIFLE?

I know who I am to God. I know I’m a son who has the power of Jesus living in me, so I’m going to use it. I’m also a freedom fanatic. That’s a big part of my DNA.

Because of my love for freedom, which comes from My Father God, I set girls free from sexual slavery. I help and feed poor people and give homes to orphans. As a pastor, my purpose is to free people from the bondage of sin, self, and Satan. 

I would say I’m in alignment for my assignment. Alignment is the difference between a shotgun and a rifle, a spotlight and a laser. Once you understand your identity, you can hone in on your purpose, or how you’re supposed to walk that identity out. 

When you start getting real about the responsibility of your alignment, it brings acceleration, effectiveness and pinpoint accuracy for the targets God Almighty has designed for you to hit. How do you do that?

You get intentional. You act. You also have to weed out the things that are not part of your assignment. “But Pastor Troy, I love that person or that part of my life. Don’t make me give that up because it’s not going to keep me from my assignment.”

Maybe not, but it’s not going to help you find it any faster either. You can stay up until four o’clock in the morning and tweet to defend yourself from all the people who hate your guts or you can say, “That’s not part of my assignment and it’s not in alignment for my assignment.” Amen.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. – 1 Corinthians 13:11

Put away the childish things that keep you from alignment for your assignment. Grow up and get yourself mature enough to know what’s holding you back. Root those things out now. Don’t wait. Folks are going to hell in that proverbial hand basket while you’re distracted with indecision and childish pursuits.

Discover your identity. Get into alignment. Be a rifle, not a shotgun and see how the Lord uses you today.

A NEW SONG

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

I Am with you even unto the end of your rope. When I said I would never leave you nor forsake you, I meant it. Never. When it’s dark, hard or painful, look for Me. I Am there singing over you. Hear My song of love and join the chorus.

A NEW SONG

When we start walking with the Lord in new things, there are all kinds of promises that God gives us.  Promises like a new name, a new covenant, a new heart, a new spirit, a new tongue, a new commandment – even a new heaven and earth.

Today, I would like to focus on what it means to have a new song. 

As a professional musician who has written more songs than I can count, I love music. I love all kinds of music and I actually plan different kinds of music for different settings throughout my day. 

There are sometimes when I’m just feeling blue and I know how to play the blues. You just worship God in E-minor. I also know how to sing to Him and praise Him in a G  for when I am feeling grateful and in the key of A when I’m specifically looking for alignment. 

What does it mean to have a new song? Well, it’s different for each of us, but this is what it looks like for me. I go after something in life and it doesn’t go the way I planned. Sometimes I win, but other times, I crash and burn. Either way, I find a new reason to see the goodness of God in my life by the way He responds to my victory or to my defeat.

In other words, I am more aware of His presence than I am aware of how I’ve been ripped off or defeated. I find myself more transformed and renewed than beat up and hurting. That comes from walking in the newness of life. That comes from finding His goodness in all situations – especially the negative ones.

Can you find the Lord in a new way despite adversity and flat out defeat? Can you find Him in victory? Look for His goodness no matter where you are and you’ll be singing a new song!

But let all who take refuge in You be glad, Let them ever sing for joy; And may You shelter them, That those who love Your name may exult in You. – Psalms 5:11

DON’T LET THE FIRE GO OUT

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

What I do in your life, may be different from what I do in the life of someone else. What is right for you, may not be right for another person. Others may not be ready for what you are ready for. It’s all about a personal relationship with Me through the blood of My Son. 

DON’T LET THE FIRE GO OUT

When revival starts, we have to protect it. The supernatural fire comes from heaven, but it’s the job of the priests of the house to keep the fire going. The Bible is clear on this: fire falls on sacrifice. 

What is sacrifice? It is selflessness. 

The opposite of revival and the opposite of the Kingdom of Heaven coming to earth is when the Philistines – idol worshippers – get to rule and reign. A Philistine spirit wants us to remember things that are not worth remembering. It also wants us to forget what a big deal the presence of God is. 

A Philistine spirit wants us to forget the big opportunity we have to walk in the presence of God. It wants us to live in fear of our giants. Amen.

If you’re sick and tired of the way things are, you need revival because revival changes things. The dynamics of your family, your financial situation, your marriage, if you want change, you want revival. 

A wise man once said, “True revival means nothing less than a revolution.” And we can see personal revivals throughout the Word of God. A great example of revival, from a supernatural touch, is in Isaiah chapter 6. 

Isaiah is having a throne-room experience looking at all the holiness and righteousness of God. Then, he realizes he is the only one unclean. He exclaims, “Woe is me…” And the Bible says an angel of the Lord takes a hot burning coal off the altar and touches his mouth with it. That’s where sacrifice comes in because the blood of Jesus is on that altar. 

Why did the angel put that coal in Isaiah’s mouth? “O taste, and see that the Lord is good.” It’s a personal experience of the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s revival! You can’t explain to someone what ice cream or chocolate tastes like because tasting is a very personal experience. 

“Taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the man who takes refuge in Him!” – Psalms 34:8

Let revival begin with you!

PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK?

TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT

My love for you surpasses knowledge. Know how good I Am and that I will not withhold any good thing from you. Nothing will ever separate you from My love. Walk in confidence that I have made you righteous and loved. 

PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK?

God longs for you to know how much He loves you. For you to know Him. Adam knew God in a way few after him did. Too many times, we respond to God as Adam did in the garden – running and hiding from Him and His great love.

God Almighty came to Adam and told him about the two trees that he wasn’t suppose to mess with. Why would God give him a choice? Because He has an agenda to reward us and He can’t reward us if we don’t have choices. The reward can only come in the context of allowing us to make our own choices. So, God tells Adam what he’ll walk in according to his choices. But the snake came and said, “Did God really say that?”

That’s a snake. A snake will cause you to run away from God. I love when God says, “Where are you, Adam? We’re always supposed to meet here and have our daily meeting. It’s going to be awesome. Adam, where are you?” He wasn’t asking this because He didn’t know where Adam was. He was asking because Adam didn’t know.

We are not much different than Adam. We also are not sure if God is for us. So we make the choice. Instead of running to His voice, we hide. Instead of believing what God says about Himself and about who we are in Christ, we listen to snakes and the lies of the in-a-me.   

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” — John 10:10  

The choice to receive that abundant life is ours. Every time we choose to listen to God and follow Him, we are choosing life and His rewards. Also, every time we choose to listen to the enemy’s lies, he robs us of what is rightfully ours in Christ Jesus.  

       “You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32

Jesus is the truth. He knows all the truth about you and loves you with an everlasting, crazy love.
