Marc and Sebastian at the Schloss gate

Marc and Sebastian at the Schloss gate
Tubingen
Yesterday’s leg of the grand tour saw us head west to Stuttgart, and from there wind our way amongst lovely forests and hills to the ancient university city of Tubingen. The medieval heart of the town has been miraculously preserved, clustered on sloping streets above the wooded River Necker. The cobblestones and timber-frame houses make for a tourist’s paradise; it would also be a perfect place to be a cat, as you could leap and jump with ease across the rooftops from citadel to riverside without once touching ground. We took a stroll up to the Schloss, then went to a hall high above the river for a delightful evening of Lockwooding.
