Six Sentence Sunday
Here's another six from Wicked. Things are starting to heat up in Piedmont, yessiree.
One of his hands kept her balanced while the other fumbled the button of her pants. She would have offered to help, but her fingers were numb from pinching the seams of her jeans.
Zipper teeth clicked and the heavy fabric parted, pooling her pants around her ankles.
Nathaniel bent each of her knees then freed her legs while some distant part of her mind wondered where her shoes had gone.
When his thumbs hooked...

I'll Eat You First
I tweeted about this the other day but didn't have the patience to really get into detail at 140 characters per tweet.
Most of you know my husband talks in his sleep. It's not every night, but it's often. He sounds so alert I think he's awake at first, until I pay attention to what he's saying. Then I realize he's either bought a one way ticket to Crazy Town or he's sound asleep.
(Though, either is possible.)
Anyway, we watch a lot of Discovery Channel around here.
(Actually, I don't watch TV...

Paranormal Pretties
I blogged this week about a cool new toy created by Shawntelle Madison, the Synopsis Wizard. It's not a miracle cure, but it's interesting. I could see it helping a writer rough out a draft.
Find out for yourself here.

Six Sentence Sunday
I'll give you a little context on this week's Six. Bran is Nathaniel's godson. He was injured about two chapters ago and the heroine, who hasn't realized what her hero (or his godson) is yet, sent a balloon bouquet and a teddy bear as get well gifts.
"It's no joke," Nathaniel said. "You just had a handful of zeros shaved off your age."
Tilting his head to one side, Bran entered a staring match with the stuffed toy, as if he couldn't decide what to make of it. "Is there a reason your friend...

Paranormal Pretties
I blogged today about when a writer "arrives." What the idea of arrival means to me is a very fluid concept. It's usually whatever the next wrung is up the ladder. Find out my thoughts here.

Six Sentence Sunday
Here are six more lines from Wicked.
She reached towards his knee. "Stay." Her lips moved without making a sound before slacking as her eyes rolled back in her head.
He cupped her mouth with his palm, but no air stirred. As he searched for a pulse, her heartbeat vanished beneath his fingertips. A hard shudder wracked her body, lolling her head and turning her face into his palm.

Amazon's Kindle Then and Now
I was back at my parent's house today, tiling the fireplace, when I uncovered this little lovely. I'm too tired to do the feature comparison at the moment, but I wanted to share these photos of the Kindle 3.
Keep in mind, the Kindle 1 is Dad's. He takes it everywhere. And yes, that means he brings it to work every night as well. He works in computers/maintenance, so his has seen its share of grease, grime, and gunk. It's still trucking along and has had no issues from his hard use. Kindle 3...
