Author Spotlight: Aly Grady

Happy Friday! One of the great things about having a group of author friends is being able to cheer them on when they have a new release. And today, I'm cheering for writer peep Aly Grady and her new release: "A Home for Love."

Aly began her writing career with stories centered around car racing... something she knows a little bit about thanks to her husband who works for one of the local teams. She also knows what it's like to be a race widow. But that doesn't keep her from going a million mi...

My Reading Challenge

by Margie Senechal

Since Kristi checked in yesterday on her two reading challenges and I'm also doing the same challenges, I thought I'd check in, too. Which might also be interpreted as I didn't have anything else planned.

I thought I'd read more than I actually have. *Sad face* I told Kristi I was somewhere between her ten and Liz's 19. I'm closer to her than Liz at just starting my 12th book.

I thought I'd be further into my fifty after the great start I had in January and February. Lo...

#ReadingChallenge Check-In ~ @AuthorKristina Knight

Wow! I can't believe we're already in the first week of April...that means a whole quarter of 2017 is gone - and wow, I'm already behind on my reading challenges. I already talked about the two reading challenges I'm doing this year, so I thought I'd check in with all of you.

On the 50 book challenge I'm at...a woeful 10. And that's with my RITA reading. At this point, I'll barely hit 40 unless I pick up the pace a bit so...that's my goal for April ~ June - to pick up the reading pace.

I'm doin...

Enjoying ordinary

I am ordinary. I'm overweight--or undertall, however you want to look at it. I put things off till the last minute or maybe a little beyond. I drive too fast and don't dust the furniture until some clown comes along and writes "dust me" on its surfaces. I'm a mediocre cook, I'm clumsy, and most days, I don't have good hair. I love writing, I think I'm pretty good at it, but put me in a room with the big girls and I don't belong there, because their skill and their fabulous voices put me solid...

My New Kitchen!

My head space is filled with my kitchen renovations right now, so I thought I'd share some pictures. It's definitely coming along!

The cabinets begin to go in. Obviously that big hole is for the fridge.

Let there be doors!
My dog Lou is confused by all the commotion, not to mention the boxes!

I love this new buffet area with glass shelves and lighting inside the cabinet. That's a wine rack on the side.
New appliances came today! Too bad they're in the living room right now.
The cabinets are the fast...

Goin' Cruisin'

Me, in need of a vacation!Happy Friday, everyone! I have to admit that I’m in a stellar mood today. It *might* be because I’m heading south to Florida for our Disney Cruise Spring Break.

Pfshhh... There's no *might* about it. I'm on vacation!!

Since I’ll soon be stepping foot on a big boat, I thought it would be fun to talk about my favorite movies involving boats, and to get your input on your favorites. The downside of this is the fact that so many movies with boats involve sinking...

Morning Musings

by Margie Senechal

Have you noticed time is slowing down?

Usually when April gets here, I'm all, "It's April already? Where did the time go?"

Now, I look at the news and I wonder how it's only been three months since the inauguration. How is that possible? It feels like it's been years.

That, along with the Biden/Obama memes, could be--in my own humble opinion--the only upsides to the current administration.

Can you tell I have nothing yet?

Thank you Nan for the shout-out on Tuesday. It's be...

A Few Favorite Places ~ @AuthorKristina Knight

It's release week for my Billionaire Cowboys - Connor, Gage, and Jase have been boxed together...and are available (for a limited time) for only 99 cents! I loved writing these books, and part of that love is because of the setting - Las Vegas.

I love to travel - short trips, long trips (but, really, are any trips long enough?), weekend trips and daytrips. If it involves a plane, train, car or cruise ship, I'm in! I also love coming home, because the best thing about going on a trip is coming...
