Words VS Life

by Margie Senechal

I wish words grew as fast as my yard. Especially, when neglected as my yard has been for the past year or so. Once my yard was beautiful and then I got involved. I started planting things and then I got busy. Too busy to deadhead, too busy to trim, just too damn busy.

Before the mow job 2018When we were looking for houses back in 2007, one of the things that drew me to our home was this cherry tree. I grew up climbing the cherry trees that grew in the vacant lot next to my g...

Welcome Joanne Guidoccio

The Wranglers are happy to welcome author Joanne Guidoccio today. Joanne is roaming the Web in celebration of her new book, A Different Kind of Reunion.

There will be lots of good stuff about the book further down in the post, but for now, we want to know all about Joanne.

And, no, we're not nosy--why do we have to keep telling you that?

The most important part of writing ~ @AuthorKristina Knight

If you read many ‘how to’ type of posts you’ll find a lot of different answers to the question ‘what is the most important part of writing’.

This is one of those posts, but it’s also not one of those posts.

For me, the most important part of writing is simply to write.

On any given day, there are about a thousand things that crop up that I’m not ready for. Whether it’s my daughter coming home from school with marker on her shirt from art class, or my husband calling to say he won’t be home for d...

Creating an #AudioBook

One of my publishers, The Wild Rose Press, is busily working with ACX  to create audiobooks from already published books. The process goes like this: I fill out a form giving information about my book, such as the kind of voices required - someone with an English accent, or an American southern drawl. I include a short excerpt and my publisher submits the information to narrators at ACX. What we're looking for are narrators who are willing to work on a royalty share basis, which means th...

Old Dogs and Lake Houses

By Ava Cuvay
Happy Wednesday! It’s cold and icky still in my neck of the woods, but I have seen glimpses of warmer weather (when I was in Florida for Spring Break, but at least I can attest to the fact that warmer weather does exist. For a long while, I wasn’t so sure).
Print and Kindle versions available on AmazonI am thrilled to announce that my children’s book is published! I was invited to read it to a group of Kindergarteners, which was a fun experience. The questions they ask are a...

How Wednesday became Thursday

by Margie Senechal

Or is it Thursday became Wednesday? Or how Wednesday bled into Thursday?

SO, yesterday as I was driving Jordie to the Humane Society where she volunteers as a dog walker, I was thinking about what I should blog about. I got to a red light with about a mile to go when it dawned on me that it was Wednesday. Whaaat?

Let's pretend today is Wednesday and I'm not a day late and always a dollar short.

I thought I'd do a quarter year check-in.

[image error] At the beginning of the year, I chos...

Don't Like the Weather? Just Wait a Second... ~ @AuthorKristina Knight

This spring has been a weird one. We have yet to make it more than a day or so at a steady temperature. Take yesterday. We were sitting at 35 most of the day, with rain. Last night the temperature suddenly shot up to about 50, still with rain, and then the wind started up so it sounded like a freight train was running through out house. Today, the winds are hanging on and now it's about 30 degrees again.

I think Mother Nature might have lost her mind or something because spring is supposed to...
