Not Justified!

Timothy Olyphnat plays US Deputy Marshal, Raylan Givens, in the FX drama, Justified.

I may have mentioned a time or two that I have a ginormous crush on this man.

The TV character, not the man, actually.

He's hot--tall, cool under fire, and did I mention he looks really good in a hat? He's an alpha, leader. Doesn't back down, doesn't apologize. He's smart. He's hot. Did I mention that?

Let me back up a bit. A couple years ago, I was whining about not having anything to watch on TV, and my daugh...

Christine Warner and Weird Jobs!

We're excited to host the fantabulous Christine Warner today on WordWranglers! Christine writes sexy, contemporary and sometimes humorous-romantic-suspense...Christine, take it away!

Thank you WordWranglers for turning over your fabulous blog to me today!

I love reading romance. I love that I know there will be a sexy hero, a strong heroine (preferably with sass and spunk), wonderful settings, and a happily every after. These are all things I can rely on when I pick up a book in the romance gen...

Happy April Fool's Day!

I tend to forget this is a writers' blog. The other Wranglers have been friends for so long--even though I don't think any of us have ever met--D'Ann, Kristi, have you?--that often when I post, I'm just talking to "the gurls." However, the past eight months or so, I've had horrendous problems with writing, most of which you've read about ad nauseum. And I do thank you so much for listening, patting my back, and empa- and sympathizing. Thank you for the advice, much of which has been helpful a...

Waiting for Something

I've never been a thrill seeker. But lately, I've found myself waiting for...something. I have no idea what. It's been a while since I've had that certain rush. Got some good news at the day job the other  day. Everybody was jumping around, really excited. I just smiled. One of my co- workers asked, "Don't you get excited about anything? I've never seen you cut loose or act a fool. Everyone has a little fool in them. Are you this way at home?" I thought about it for a minute, and to be h...

I Can't Quit You

I am an impulsive buyer. Not always but there are some things I just can't pass up.
They usually defy logic or sense.

Sharpie pens are one of those things. I didn't really get into Sharpies until they started coming out in new and fun colors. And now I can't pass up a new color. It's not like I'm even going to use it, I simply want it to be available just in case I ever need a yellow or pink sharpie.

Pens are another obsession. I was looking for a picture in my secretary and found another...

Transplanting Tulips

Last fall, I planted more than 200 tulip and daffodil bulbs. I've been eagerly waiting for them to come up ever since. Imagine my delight when they began showing about two weeks ago. I couldn't wait to see the pinks, reds, oranges...!

We've had a lot of very cold days lately. Cold enough to freeze the tops of my flowers. I don't think they're going to bloom at all.

If I leave them alone, they MAY bloom next year. Or not. I can transplant those bulbs to a warmer location and pray they come up...

I'm so excited...and I just can't hide it

It’s Monday morning along about 8:00 as I write this. Normally, I post the blog on Sunday night. Apparently this week isn’t normal. So now you have to hear about it. You knew that was coming, didn’t you? Go ahead. Warm up your coffee. I’ll wait.
I started the week by getting home from Florida, where we spent two and a half months in a rental house. It was a lovely, fun time. I was almost completely non-productive, which shows you just how routine-entrenched I am. I’ve discovered it’s somethin...
