Thai GL News: A Bridgerton-Style Gossip Sheet on the Rise of Thai GL Romance

Thai GL News spreads faster than a scandal in Mayfair, my dear reader—and what an enchanting scandal it is. The rise of Thai GL (Girls’ Love) dramas has transformed this once-whispered genre into the talk of every glittering salon. In true Bridgerton fashion, it is not enough to simply admire these series from afar; one must observe, adore, and perhaps even ship one’s favorite couples with all the zeal of high society matchmaking.

Thai GL News: The Season’s Most Eligible Debuts

The trailers alone have become social sensations, watched millions of times and igniting a shipping mania worthy of Lady Whistledown’s quill.

Only You — Lingling Kwong and Orm Kornaphat (LingOrm) dazzle as a bodyguard and an idol whose hearts refuse to behave.

Harmony Secret — Heiresses collide in love and rivalry while chasing a coveted Duty-Free contract.

Whale Store XOXO — Cozy, honey-sweet romance between a grocery heir and a loyal customer.

4 Elements Series (Fire • Air • Water • Earth) — Freen Sarocha, Becky Armstrong, Engfa Waraha, Charlotte Austin, and more bring elemental power to love stories.

Player The Series — Romantic comedy sparkle featuring Ice Amana, Memi Muanfun, Grace Harper, and NingNing Marika.

Girl Rules — GMMTV’s sweeping anthology, weaving friendships and romances with Namtan Tipnaree, Film Rachanun, Milk Pansa, Love Pattranite, and more.

Cranium — FreenBecky return with a fresh series already stirring fervent speculation and international attention.

Denied Love, Remain, Roller Coaster, Love Design, Somewhere Somehow, Queendom — From rivalries to body-swap hijinks to heartfelt drama, there’s a Thai GL for every mood.

Why 2025 Is Thai GL’s Grand Regency Season

Production houses such as Channel 3, GMMTV, Idol Factory, COPY A BANGKOK, and WeTV are investing in richer scripts, sumptuous visuals, and leading ladies with undeniable chemistry. The result? Thai GL now stands not in the corner of the ballroom, but in the very center—commanding every gaze. Fans on Reddit even declare: “Thailand is throwing GLs at us from every direction—and we are here for it.”

A Final Note from Your Devoted Blog-mistress

Dearest gentle readers, the Thai GL News of 2025 is clear: this is the season of sapphic splendor. Whether you prefer enemies-to-lovers tension, tender slow-burns, or cozy slice-of-life charm, there is a Thai GL debut to sweep you off your feet.

And should your taste extend to fictional lesbian romance and romantic comedy in book form, may I introduce Jess Harley, author of The Soft Kind (a five-star lesbian rom-com delight), Second Takes (a romantic drama about ex's on a GL set), Unwritten (a romance about rock-stars, actresses and betrayal) and Accidentally Yours (a sparkling fake-dating romp out soon). All are available on Amazon globally and Kindle of course. Just search book name and Jess Harley. If you adore witty banter, emotional swoons, and happily-ever-afters, get my books post-haste—they are the perfect companion to your next Thai GL binge.

Goodreads UK: A Lesbian RomCom With Love, Lycra, and Lesbians

Lesbian RomCom UK

Dearest Readers,

Word travels fast in our little corner of the bookish world, and I have it on good authority that Britain has a new romantic obsession. No, it’s not a torrid affair between your neighbour and the postie (though keep your eyes open). It is, in fact, The Soft Kind—a laugh-out-loud lesbian romantic comedy fresh from the pen of yours truly.

Allow me to paint the scene. Jenny Collins, our heroine, had only one mission: tone the thighs, reclaim the dignity, stop weeping under the fluorescent lights of the M&S changing rooms. What she did not plan on? Being emotionally rugby-tackled by Elodie Lane—a woman so gorgeous, so cool, she makes oat milk look mainstream.

The trouble is, Jenny isn’t even sure if she likes girls. Or if Elodie is just that rare creature who is nice for the sheer sport of it. Or, indeed, if it’s socially acceptable to swoon in public whilst wearing a compression top (spoiler: it’s not, but it happens).

The Soft Kind offers you a full banquet: queer awakenings, annoying exes, tight tops, unexpected tenderness, and second chances—served with the wry humour of someone who has actually attempted a plank in public. It’s perfect for fans of sapphic slow burns, emotional glow-ups, and awkward kisses that fumble into something real.

So, dear reader, prepare yourself: there will be blushing, there will be banter, and there may even be a suspicious increase in gym membership applications after reading.

Softly (but with intention),
Jess Harley

Thai GL Dispatch | Issue 3 | Special Edition – NamtanFilm #NamtanFilm1stFMinHongKong by Jess Harley WLW Author

Dearest Reader,

In the grand theatre of Thai GL, few ships can orchestrate a public soft launch quite like NamtanFilm — and this weekend, they have gifted us a performance so tantalising that even my fainting couch has applied for overtime.

The overture began at the Airport, where keen-eyed devotees observed Namtan repeatedly fussing with Film’s clothing. Was this merely the work of a devoted stylist… or the most deliciously transparent excuse to touch her in public since the infamous “Let me fix your mic” incident? The verdict, dear reader, was unanimous: this was affection masquerading as practicality.

And just when the fandom’s collective heart rate had stabilised, Namtan herself — mistress of well-timed chaos — delivered a one-two blow via social media:

The Silhouette: The two of them, leaning together as the Hong Kong sun dipped into the horizon, shadows wrapped in gold. The scene was scored, I might add, to Adam Levine’s Lost Stars — a ballad so romantically blatant, my morning coffee required a fan.

The Cuddle: A fleeting clip, but enough to send group chats into all-caps pandemonium. Shoulders pressed. Heads nestled. The kind of casual intimacy that has launched a thousand edit videos and at least three premature wedding hashtags.

The fandom braced for Starry Night, wondering if anything could top such a prelude.

And oh, dear reader — it could.

At the fanmeet itself, Namtan bestowed upon Film a kiss to the cheek — and unlike previous occasions, she did not bolt in panic, but allowed the moment to land before retreating with a blush (and yes, she still bolted after, but we take our victories where we can).

The evening was littered with backhugs, as though personal space were a myth, and during the celebrity dance segment, Film began a sultry sway to Baby Tee. This proved too much for Namtan’s composure — she promptly stepped in front, staking her claim with the immortal words: “She is mine.”

And then, the pièce de résistance:

Standing before the Hong Kong crowd, Namtan gazed out at the glittering skyline and said, with the kind of offhand intimacy that can start wars, “The Hong Kong skyline is beautiful… I watched it from my bedroom with Nong Film.”

The audience erupted. Film blushed. Somewhere, an entire shipping fleet added “bedroom” to their search terms.

One must ask… is there something in the air in Hong Kong?

Whatever the cause, this was a performance of shipper dreams — equal parts romance, chaos, and territorial declarations — and we shall be dissecting it frame by frame for weeks to come.

Until the next scandalous scene, I remain,
Your devoted and delulu correspondent,
Miss Jess Harley

What Are Some of the Best Lesbian Romantic Comedy Books to Read?

Dearest gentle reader,

So what are the best lesbian romantic comedy books? Lets dive in. It is a truth universally acknowledged (at least in my parlour) that there are few greater pleasures in life than a good cup of tea, a scandalous piece of cake, and a romantic comedy so sapphic you can hear the U-Haul revving in the distance.

One ought not to settle for anything less than laughter and longing. For what is love without the exquisite absurdity of queer panic, ill-timed confessions, and the occasional cat with strong opinions?

Allow me, therefore, to present a most carefully curated selection of lesbian romantic comedies — guaranteed to make one’s heart flutter, one’s cheeks ache from smiling, and one’s bookmark positively quiver with anticipation.

The Soft Kind
A charming tale of Jenny Collins — recently liberated from an immature ex and determined to become the heroine of her own story. Alas, she did not anticipate meeting Elodie Lane, a gym goddess with the gentle encouragement of a yoga instructor and the devastating cheekbones of a runway model. Jenny’s gym journey was meant to tone her thighs, not trigger a full-blown queer awakening. Yet here we are: compression tops, accidental swoons, and more than a few moments of “is she flirting, or is she just really nice?”
Expect gay panic, gentle humour, and a reminder that the bravest thing one can do is be unapologetically soft.

Accidentally Yours (coming very soon)
Imagine, if you will, Kara — the sort of woman who irons her socks, colour-codes her tea cupboard, and treats spontaneity like a contagious disease. Enter Lucy, her artist neighbour: a whirlwind of paint, laughter, and late-night ukulele. And, of course, Kevin — the cat, who has opinions on absolutely everything.
Through a most unexpected turn of events (read: fake dating and enemy-to-lovers chaos), Kara and Lucy find themselves navigating the fine line between irritation and infatuation. Expect wit, warmth, and the slow, delicious burn of realising that perhaps your sworn nemesis is… accidentally yours.

There are, of course, other worthy contenders in the realm of lesbian romcoms — tales brimming with banter, unexpected tenderness, and love stories so bright they require metaphorical sunglasses. But I should be most remiss not to invite you to begin with these particular morsels, fresh from my writing desk to your eager hands. Available on Amazon and Kindle Globally.

Until next time, dear reader,

Thai GL Series – A Dispatch from Miss Jess Harley

Dearest Reader,

The Thai GL universe is currently ablaze — not with mere candlelight, but with the full, roaring heat of three GL series so dangerously addictive that one is forced to wonder whether the nation’s caffeine supply can keep pace with our collective binge-watching habits.

First, we turn our attention to Harmony Secret starring LMSY’s Lookmhee and Sonya.
A tale of rival heiresses locked in both corporate combat and, dare I whisper it, dangerously close poolside encounters. We are but three episodes in, and already there has been enough longing stares, deliberate micrometre gap proximity, and heart-palpitating tension to fill an entire season. Fast-paced? Certainly. Heated? Positively tropical. And I, dear reader, am not complaining.

Next, Only You with LingOrm. Who among us could resist them? Not I. The premise — bodyguard and superstar, estranged friends turned maybe-something-more — is already delectable. But add in the undeniable chemistry of Ling and Orm, and suddenly one is ready to risk it all for a slow-motion close-up of a protective arm around a waist. Romance, peril, and jawlines — what else could one ask for?

And finally, Whale Store with MilkLove. A small-town grocery store, a determined heiress-turned-shopkeeper, and a flirty regular whose secrets may well undo everything… This one is a gentler burn, the kind that seeps in slowly until you realise you are fully invested in whether they will confess before the cabbage wilts.

August, too, promises riches for our screens — fresh titles are sailing in as we speak, and this correspondent will be poised at the dock with notebook in hand.

Until then, hydrate, pace yourselves, and keep your fainting couches close. This GL season shows no sign of restraint, and neither, dear reader, do I.

If your appetite for scandal, shipping, and sapphic splendour remains unsatisfied, you may peruse my weekly Thai GL Dispatch — a lovingly gossipy round-up of GL series, fan meets, screen kisses, and public displays of entirely suspicious affection on Archive of Our Own:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/689...

And for those with a taste for original tales of romance (WLW, naturally), I humbly invite you to sample my own fiction — available now on Amazon or Kindle:

UK readers: https://shorturl.at/oqJHi
US readers: https://shorturl.at/Vk3M0

Until next time, dearest reader, may your ships sail steadily and your hashtags trend eternally.

Yours in mischief,
Miss Jess Harley

Miss Jess Harley’s Thai GL Dispatch - Issue No. 1 – Englot, LingOrm & the latest ships to steal our hearts

A Most Necessary Prologue

Dearest Reader,
Before we proceed, a clarification most vital: this Dispatch is naught but a gleeful, fanciful flight through the world of Thai GL ships, brimming with affectionate chaos and tongue-in-cheek scandal. Whilst the names of radiant ships — such as EmiBonnie, Englot, FreenBecky, LingOrm, NamtanFilm, MilkLove, LMSY and EnjoyJune — are lovingly employed, all rumours, sighs, and theories herein are fictional and conjured for amusement alone.
This paper holds no claim to truth. Instead, it offers an exuberant tribute to the drama, devotion, and delulu that Thai GL fandoms know all too well.
— Yours (digitally and dramatically),
Miss Jess Harley
________________________________________
My Dearest Fan Girls,
The world of Thai GL has once again spun itself into a scandalous spiral of sapphic chaos — and I, your humble and hopelessly delusional correspondent, have taken up the quill to report every forehead graze, accidental love declaration, stage hug, and viral glance with the urgency it so richly deserves.
Across the kingdoms of EmiBonnie, Englot, FreenBecky, LingOrm, and more, our beloved GL ships are thriving, teasing… and occasionally toppling. TikTok editors are breathless. Timeline wars have resumed. The sapphics are unwell — and it is delicious.
Steady your hearts. Prepare your clips. And do hydrate.
________________________________________
💥 EmiBonnie: When Flirting Becomes Foreplay
Scandal struck the fan meet this week when our ever-bold Emi casually declared, “Kiss Bonnie’s cheek.” And just like that, the fandom fainted in unison. Scented salts were passed around, car horns honked, and TikTok was ablaze within the hour. But Emi, clearly a woman of no mercy, went on to confess that her timeline is overrun with Bonnie in a pink dress. Can we blame her? Certainly not.
Not one to be outdone, Bonnie struck back — with a back hug. Yes, dear readers, a full body-pressed, head-on-shoulder, sigh-worthy back hug. TikTok editors haven’t slept since.
Official fan pages on X are ablaze with commentary, with one prevailing theme: “Emi simply adores her.” A sentiment shared by us all, surely.
________________________________________
💥 LMSY: Reactions, Romance… and Respiratory Risk
Episode 2 of Harmony Secret landed this week, and suffice to say — the girls did not disappoint. Fangirl edits flooded the feeds in record time. Viewer warnings now apply: do not open near your mother, ex, or where any sense of composure is needed. Hydration required. Swooning inevitable.
But the real chaos? Came from the reaction video. Yes, dear readers, the stars watching themselves onscreen, unaware they were about to unleash sapphic bedlam.
Within minutes, Lookmhee had Sonia locked in a cuddle so intense it could qualify as a chokehold. Limbs tangled, heads nestled, and at one point we lost visual confirmation that Sonia was still breathing. Oxygen tanks were summoned. CPR-trained fan club members placed on standby.
To the untrained eye, one might think Lookmhee was attempting to suffocate Sonia. And yet… Sonia didn’t exactly seem distressed. In fact, she appeared rather pleased with her fate.
So, the question remains: Does Sonia like her personal space? Perhaps. But it’s quite clear that Lookmhee likes it more.
May the next episode deliver answers — or at the very least, proper airflow.
________________________________________
💥 Englot: Uniforms and Forehead Kisses
Charlotte’s fangirl moment was public and glorious after glimpsing Freen in uniform — and, to our utter shock, the entire fandom agreed for once.
Rumour has it that suspicious amounts of military-esque uniforms have arrived on Engfa’s current set. Coincidence? Likely — but why ruin the fun?
And the real chaos? A forehead kiss. Yes, a forehead kiss that sent timelines into cardiac arrest. Delulu pills were distributed en masse. My own TL refuses to show me anything else. (Not that I mind.)
________________________________________
💥 EnjoyJune: Cheeky Business
Their first fanmeet arrived — with teary eyes, heart flutters, and an unusual volume of cheek kisses. Fan scientists are now studying June’s apparent obsession with Enjoy’s cheeks. Is she hungry? Are they candy? Updates to follow.
Until then, may this ship sail smoothly — and quickly — into the sunset.
________________________________________
💥 LingOrm: Trampolines and Tension
Only You Episode 3 dropped, and if you weren’t already on the edge, Orm's declaration in the BTS— “She’s my wife” — likely pushed you over.
The teaser for Episode 4 dropped. And Ling’s fight scene left fans parched. But questions remain. Why did Tawan vanish? When’s the kiss? Why is Orm using Ling as a trampoline in the BTS? Questions abound, sanity dwindles.
And in sausage dog news (yes, that’s a real headline), Orm once again attempted to charm Ling into canine parenthood. The answer? A firm, “No.” OrmLingers are in hiding. LingOrm shippers are celebrating smugly. The battle continues.
________________________________________
💥 NamtanFilm: The Fall of a Mighty Top
Oh, how the tables have turned.
Once our rock-solid, unshakable Top, Namtan now appears to be in a full-blown spiral of sapphic surrender. It all began at Film’s birthday bash, where Namtan was spotted — nay, kneeling — before Film’s parents. Observers are still debating whether this was a polite gesture or an impromptu proposal. Either way, the fandom hasn't recovered.
The plot thickened when Film referred to Namtan’s mother as “Mum,” sending theorists into overdrive and delulu pills flying off the shelves. And as for that almost-kiss at BBFanFest? Followed by Namtan bolting from cuddles like a flustered schoolgirl? My dear readers, our Top is trembling.
Some are calling it love. Others, a full-scale identity crisis. With the two now separated by schedule but not by sentiment, they’ve taken to exchanging sweet, cryptic song dedications online — the digital equivalent of love letters.
Fandom verdict? Namtan is down bad. The mighty Top has fallen. And we, the ever-loyal spectators, wouldn’t miss a second of it.
________________________________________
💥 FreenBecky: The Founders Return
Our first loves have returned in full force. Freen, basking in compliments from none other than Charlotte herself (a crown recognizing a crown), is back in the spotlight.
Their latest vlog? Pure sugar. Cuddles, close-ups, and content so sweet it gave half the fandom cavities. With two new GL series coming (The Four Elements and Cranium), we suggest preparing early — hydration, defibrillators, and possibly therapy.

The Soft Kind – A Tender Sapphic Romcom Full of Longing, Laughter, and Late Blooming, by Jess Harley

If you’re in the mood for a sapphic romcom that feels like a hug in book form—gentle, funny, and quietly powerful—The Soft Kind by Jess Harley might be exactly what you’ve been searching for. With all 5-star reviews, this debut is quickly becoming a favorite among fans of queer romantic comedy.

The Soft Kind is a heartwarming sapphic romcom about Jenny Collins, a woman fresh off a breakup and ready to rebuild her life—one awkward gym class at a time. What starts as a quest for stronger thighs quickly turns into something much messier (and much gayer) when she meets Elodie Lane, a stunning, self-assured model who offers more than just fitness tips. With laugh-out-loud moments, tender queer awakening, and a love interest who’s equal parts intimidating and kind, this is a feel-good lesbian romantic comedy about finding confidence, falling unexpectedly, and embracing softness as strength.
For readers who love:

Sapphic romcoms with emotional depth

Fake dating meets opposites attract

Slow burns that are worth every second

Strong supporting characters (and a mischievous cat named Kevin)

This isn’t just another lesbian romance—it’s a warm, funny, and beautifully written story about second chances, found family, and what happens when you stop trying to be the version of yourself the world expects.

If The Soft Kind was a vibe, it would be: late-night porch talks, sharing blankets, shy glances, and emotional honesty wrapped in humor.

Lesbian Rom-Com The Soft Kind Will Make You Cry, Laugh, and Fall in Love in the Softest of Ways (Amazon & Kindle)

If you’ve ever caught feelings in a fitness class or spiraled into gay panic at the casual kindness of a hot woman, then Jess Harley’s The Soft Kind is about to hit you right in the heart—and the funny bone.

This laugh-out-loud lesbian rom-com is tender, chaotic, and deeply relatable. It’s book 3 in Harley’s Second Chances: A Lesbian Romance series, but it stands perfectly on its own—so you can dive in even if you haven’t read the others.

💪🏽 Compression Tops, Gym Crushes, and Queer Chaos
Meet Jenny Collins—chronically anxious, recently heartbroken, and completely over shrinking herself for people who don’t deserve her. After a soul-sucking breakup (and one too many emotional episodes in M&S changing rooms), she sets her sights on something manageable: tone her thighs, maybe feel something again, and avoid crying in public.

But then Elodie Lane walks into her life like a gentle, slow-burn thunderclap in yoga pants.

Elodie is everything Jenny is not: confident, calm, and stunning in a way that makes Jenny short-circuit. Is Elodie just friendly? Is Jenny actually into women? Or is she just about to faint in a compression top again?

🧡 Why The Soft Kind Stands Out
There are plenty of sapphic romances on the market—but few nail the voice of messy, vulnerable, late-blooming queer women quite like this one. The Soft Kind is:

A queer coming-of-age story for grownups

A slow-burn sapphic romance full of gym flirtations and soft smiles

A hilarious WLW love story where internalized doubt meets external swooning

An ode to second chances—not just in love, but in being yourself

Jess Harley delivers razor-sharp humor, endearing awkwardness, and moments of raw emotion that make you both ache and cheer. Jenny’s journey is painfully relatable and ultimately empowering, especially for readers navigating their own identity or healing from love that didn’t serve them.

🎯 For Readers Who Love:
Lesbian rom-coms with real emotional depth

Funny sapphic fiction (with just the right amount of steam)

WLW books about falling for your gym crush

Queer awakening stories that aren’t centered on trauma

Second-chance love stories that feel earned

Whether you’ve been out for years or just figuring things out like Jenny, The Soft Kind offers a safe, sweet, and sharply funny place to land.

📘 Final Thoughts
If you're craving a feel-good lesbian romantic comedy with real heart, pick up The Soft Kind. It's a love story about learning to be brave, to take up space, and to let yourself soften in the arms of someone who really sees you.

This is not just a gym crush. It’s a full-blown emotional glow-up.

Perfect for fans of sapphic slow burns, awkward kisses, and stories that leave you smiling through tears.
