Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris And Goals
Spoiler Alert – This post will discuss the movie Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris and might have some (mild) spoilers. You might wish to skip this post if you haven’t yet watched this movie.
I recently watched Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris and I very much enjoyed it.
It was an escape, truly an escape.
Mrs. Harris, the main character, has a dream of owning a couture dress.
Yep. That is the sole goal – to obtain a dress.
It sounds silly but stars, the makers of this movie made me care about Mrs. Harris and her dream. I was cheering for her. I cried during some scenes. I was thoroughly enthralled with this movie.
And yes, it has a happy ending. I felt…lighter after watching it, as though my heart and my soul had a little break from (waves at everything).
Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris is a reminder that our goals and our characters’ goals don’t have to be huge. They should be meaningful but they can be as simple as obtaining a beautiful dress.

Throwback Thursday – Warlord Sky
Warlord Sky, the first story in the Chamele Barbarian Warlords series, is a story of two very injured beings.
Qulpa’s injuries are obvious. His fingers were severed in a crash. And he’s worried he’ll never be able to fly again.
Nayan’s injuries are hidden. They are both emotional AND physical and they have been with her for a very long time.

No one grounds a barbarian warrior.
Qulpa, a Chamele warrior, lost everyone he loved in the brutal Succession Wars. Flying is the only thing that brings him joy. Serving as his team’s pilot is the sole duty he has left. Then a horrific crash leaves him injured and unable to fly.

Planting Before The Last Frost Date
The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I have planted peas, spinach, radishes, cilantro and parsley in the outside garden.
This seems risky because our last frost date is in May.
BUT all these crops love the cooler weather and they are frost resistant. They can take a little cold, not too much but a little.
One of the benefits of sowing these seeds earlier is we can plant in places that are usually shaded…when the leaves are on the deciduous trees. With the trees still bare and only starting to bud, these spots in the garden are in full sun.

I Saved A Life Today
It was the life of a pill bug, which is a much smaller version of the miljoonasuuts from Dominance And Dissent. The pill bug was inside the house and would have been stepped on and smushed. I relocated him outside the house, in the garden, and he scurried away happily.
Saving that life might not seem like a big deal to us.
But it meant the world to that little pill bug. (smiles)
Your small kindnesses might not seem like a big deal to you either.
But I suspect they are greatly appreciated by others.

Muse Food – Aliens In Disguise
The Dear Wonderful Hubby and I recently went to the Universal Studios Theme Park in Florida. As we were wandering around the place, we encountered many ‘characters’, people fully concealed in suits.
Or we assumed they were people.
They could have easily been aliens. There would be no way for us or anyone else to know that.
And wouldn’t that be a great way for them to hide here on Earth?

Romance Novels And The Ability To Change
One of the many things I love about romance novels is…
characters change during the stories.
Writers call this the character arc. The hero or heroine at the end of the story is different than they were at the beginning of the story.
Kralj, the hero of Dark Thoughts, no longer feels like he has to emotionally isolate himself from other beings, for example. Taytu, the heroine of Raw Desires, accepts her role as a Guardian and she also accepts help with that role.
I find this very hopeful because, if story characters can change for the better, the people around me might be able to change for that better.
And isn’t that an awesome prospect?

Spring Has Sprung
Spring has arrived weather-wise in my corner of the universe.
The snow has melted. It should be raining almost every day (but it isn’t, which is a bit concerning). The daffodils are finally blooming. The roses are sprouting leaves.
The mafia squirrels are having sexy times…well…everywhere. (grins) They were having some fun in one of the plant pots yesterday.
I love Spring! It is such a hopeful, happy time of year!

Throwback Thursday – Hers To Command
All my stories are unique but Hers To Command is even more so as it is the only non-Male/Female story I’ve told thus far in the cyborg series.
Two male cyborg warriors, Ace and Thrasher, find their human female genetic match Carys.
There ARE cyborgs enjoying all sorts of happy, loving, romantic relationships. Cyborgs are half human. Any type of relationship we have here on Earth, they can have. Love IS love.
I don’t have any non-Male/Female stories planned for the future, however, (with the possible exclusion of Strive For Forever – that story has an ancient deity in the mix – grins) but that might change. It really depends on the cyborg.
Three Battered Hearts. One Perfect Love
Ace and Thrasher share a special bond. They’ve never acknowledged that connection and have never fully acted on it. The Humanoid Alliance kill cyborg males like them, deeming the warriors to be defective. Now that Ace and Thrasher have escaped, they don’t trust the cyborg council and their brethren to react any differently. Physical love is too risky for them to consider.
Until they meet her.
Carys is the Commander of a Rebel Battle Station. She has dedicated her lifespan to seeking vengeance against the Humanoid Alliance and the cyborgs who killed her daughter. On her battle station, she makes the rules, and if she wants to kiss, touch, and pleasure two mysterious warriors, she will. Nothing, not even enemy warships and a mass cyborg rebellion, can stop her.
In the midst of a war, enemies can become lovers and loyalties can change in a moment. Can a forbidden relationship between two cautious cyborgs and one unbending human Commander survive?

Cyborgs And The Next Generation
It is becoming more and more likely that the next cyborg series will involve the next generation of cyborgs, the offspring of the cyborg warriors and their human/humanoid genetic matches.
Some of those offspring you know fairly well. Rage and Joan’s two boys have been causing chaos, stealing ships and escaping their gazillion official and unofficial guardians. We also spent page time with Stealth and Zebrina’s son in The Cyborg’s Secret Baby.
Some of the offspring we haven’t yet truly gotten to know. And I find that extremely exciting!
