Yep! I wrote a short story for a contest - I don't remember which one - but I was unpublished and hadn't finished a manuscript yet. One of the judges of the contest commented on my short story that I was not cut out to be an author. He also said a lo See P.C.’s answer.

Jerry Holy smokes, you're jumping in to Goodreads all the way. I keep looking for the best place to put my time and this does seem like a good one. I take it you're having fun here? (Comments welcome.) The internet is so vast, is it making the world smaller or out of control? :)

message 5: by Ivy

Ivy hey janice! thanks for the add!!

ohmigosh. i LOVED the book thief too!! it's an amazing novel.

Courtney Thanks for the invite. I'm new here on goodreads and after loading 1269 books on my facebook shelf, i wish i'd known about goodreads first because now i feel i have to start at the beginning again (unless you or anybody can tell me how to copy them all here?...). This seems like much better way to organize my real library of "reads", "want to reads" and "not interested in reads" so i don't keep buying the same books i'm not sure if i read because i read so many.

What i should be doing is working on my own book instead of procrastinating here...LOL.

Peace,

Courtney
