Six Sentence Sunday – 9/11

I've gotten asked more than a few times this week about follow up books to Hardware. I'll answer those questions in the next few weeks, but those questions got me thinking about the book. So, six sentences today from my contemporary erotic romance, Hardware:

The images of those magnificent pieces of leather were still burned on the back of his eyelids as his thumb stroked over the face of the phone. Some would probably call him crazy about his outlandish obsession with someone he barely knew. Others would say if he did manage to cultivate a relationship with her, she'd leave him in the dark—literally—once she discovered his preferences in the bedroom. It was a risk he wanted to take for her.

That risk made him nervous—a first. Above everything, he didn't want to screw this up.

For those new to this, the rules are simple:

1) pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you're published

2) pick six sentences

3) post 'em on Sunday

Book of the Week

Ragged Edge received an awesome 4.5 cherry review from Whipped Cream Erotic Romance Reviews this week and because of that, it's up for Book of the Week!

If you have a spare second, I would really appreciate a vote. :D  http://www.longandshortreviews.com/WC/index.htm

Interview and Exclusive First Look

Hey, gang. The lovely and uberfantastic Lanya Pimentel asked me to do an interview for her about writing erotica/erotic romance. I am deeply honored to be asked to participate and she asked some really awesome (and tough!) questions. Come check it out.

But, if that's not enough motivation, I received the cover of Slow Break, a m/m entry into the Sypricon Master series, over the weekend and Lanya is featuring it exclusively at her blog for the week. It's the only place you're going to find it right now. And believe me, this is one cover you want to see–plenty of delicious man flesh to feast your eyes on. ;)

Six Sentence Sunday – 9/4

Since my publisher just dropped the price of Ragged Edge over at Amazon, I thought I'd offer up six sentences.

Needless to say, 3 people…1 very compromising position. ;)

Instead of using his hands, he used his pelvis to guide her. The friction of her bottom against his erection let him join in their pleasure. They moved in unison for a time, simply enjoying the sensation of movement. This wasn't just sex anymore, a simple means to an end. This was real and potent. So breathtaking and soul shattering, Dalton wondered how he'd lived so long in denial of the inevitable.

Hard at Work – Labor Day Blog Hop

Hey there! Welcome to my stop on the tour. I'm Sara and if you've happened upon here without hopping on the tour bus, you can jump on here: http://justromance.me/hardatwork/e/hardatwork/ There's some great prizes you can enter to win at the end, so just follow the bar at the top of your screen once you hop on. :D

In addition, if you're so inclined to leave a comment here on this entry, I'll draw a name or two to win their choice of my backlist.

Ah, the end of summer. It's starting to cool off enough to need to start chopping wood for the fire, yet still hot enough that the shirts have to come off. Okay, well, they don't have to. But, ya know, we always like it if they do. ;) And, really, like Ryan Reynolds needs an excuse to take his shirt off…

Ask Me! — Open Post

Thought I'd start out the month by having an open post. What does that mean? Simple (if you haven't noticed I'm all about the simple things) if you've got a question for me–ask. Want to know if there will more books connected to Hardware? Ask! Want to know what my plans are for the Rebirth series? Ask! Interested to know what I'm working on right now or even what some of my writing techniques are? Ask! I can't promise my answers will be fun & entertaining, but I'll do my best! I'll answer questions in another post sometime during the month. And who knows, I may even draw some names for some free books. *hint hint*

Six Sentence Sunday – 8/28

It's been an extremely stressful week for me personally (family illnesses, an earthquake & a hurricane). So I felt like I needed one of those moments that make your knees go weak. Six lines from the third book in the Rebirth series, Forged in Fire.

A slow, hard breath passed my lips and Logan's grip eased as he spun me around to face him. A genuine smile lit his features and I couldn't help but smile in return. His hands lifted to clasp around the same place Quinn's hands had just been and his mouth hovered just inches from mine. "You know, he's always going to make you fall, make you feel like you're dying. But I'm always going to be there to pick you up and bring you back to life." His lips met mine and everything seemed right with the world despite the fight that lay ahead of us.

For those new to this, the rules are simple:

1) pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you're published

2) pick six sentences

3) post 'em on Sunday

Six Sentence Sunday – 8/21

Thought I'd give a peek of something I've been working on for the past few weeks. In fact, I finished the first draft just a few days ago. It's an erotic paranormal romance titled Touch of Stone. Meet Brady, an ER doctor at a pediatric hospital who is dealing with the death of one of his patients–and anyone who knows me, knows I do so love a tortured hero. Dr. Brady McConnell is no exception. ;)

He kept up the slow, measured breaths in order to steady frayed nerves. He'd talked hundreds of patients through this very thing, surely he could talk himself through it. If he kept things clinical, sterile and not think about the utter fear and desperation that had been in the little girl's eyes, he'd be all right.

The girl had just barely begun her life, and it seemed as if she'd known more than Brady ever would in his entire lifetime.

Those small fissures in his heart fractured, split apart and came undone.

That's when Brady realized he wasn't having a panic attack—his heart had broken.

For those new to this, the rules are simple:

1) pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you're published

2) pick six sentences

3) post 'em on Sunday
