It has not been an easy month for Meri. I've been trying to figure out what dose of Benadryl works for him and also figuring out how to dose him without it being traumatizing. The pill popper I got at Pet Smart seems to be the best option. He doesn't like it but only takes a second and no mouth-frothing or anything. I called the vet today to tell them he needs one pill every six hours or he's attacking his head again. They countered with every seven hours and so that's what will do. I give him some Gabapentin if he gets uncomfortable before then.
These pictures are after one MAJOR scratching event Friday night and another Sunday morning. I think we're finally onto something though. Fingers-crossed. All this morning he cuddled with me as if I couldn't pet him enough. At least he doesn't hate me yet.

Last week I went to Wally-World aka Wal-Mart and found these 'lone' fangs sitting around with the Halloween Merch. It had a barcode sticker on the bottom but when I scanned it, no price came up. I was told to take the item to Customer Service and they could get me a price. Nope. Said they couldn't sell it to me.
Went back today and, once again, they were on the shelf. I looked and NOW there was a price. HA! That's the washer they are on top of and they glow in the dark! I thought I could take them to events that might happen and put books in them etc . . .

Video
Stunning video of Meri tonight. Notice both ears about the same color. No fire-engine red ear. The very isolated times that I've seen him scratch that left ear, it was just a few scratches and he moved on to something else with no growling nor spewing of blood.
