It has not been an easy month for Meri. I've been trying to figure out what dose of Benadryl works for him and also figuring out how to dose him without it being traumatizing. The pill popper I got at Pet Smart seems to be the best option. He doesn't like it but only takes a second and no mouth-frothing or anything. I called the vet today to tell them he needs one pill every six hours or he's attacking his head again. They countered with every seven hours and so that's what will do. I give him some Gabapentin if he gets uncomfortable before then.

These pictures are after one MAJOR scratching event Friday night and another Sunday morning. I think we're finally onto something though. Fingers-crossed. All this morning he cuddled with me as if I couldn't pet him enough. At least he doesn't hate me yet.
