That's it!!!! I'm going to stop posting progress reports on Meri. EVERYTIME I do, he goes off into a scratch fest as if to say, "you ain't figured anything out." Wow. Just wow.

Once upon a time, when my second publisher who distributed through Bookmasters. Yes, I was in the bookstores, if you could call it that. They'd shelve my books for about a week and if none sold, they'd send them back to Bookmasters, (free of charge thanks to that return policy from back in the day) and my publisher would have to give back the money Barnes & Nobles had paid them PLUS pay for the shipping to return them. Then when I ordered new copies for myself from Bookmasters once, guess what I got instead. Those signed and dated copies you see on that shelf. They didn't even send me NEW books. Crooked as a ram's horn. Ah, but that's publishing for ya!

Made a discovery last night when Meri, after a day of not scratching, went into a scratching attack after I dosed him with his meds through a syringe. Frustrated as heck, I fed him another .5 dose of Gabapentin. An hour later, he finally calmed and went to sleep . . . And didn't have another problem ALL night and with no further need of meds! That's because the little butt holds that medicine in his mouth and slobbers all out. Solution; I squirt water after I dose him now to make sure he swallows what's in his mouth. I now know he spit them up if he doesn't look like the attached picture shortly after I dose him. He also ate an entire plate of food after being dosed like this. I never would've believed he was holding them in his mouth and drooling them out. Now he can go for close to twelve hours without another dose.
