Today is #NationalSangriaDay, a Spanish beverage made with wine and fruit. I make it with one part white wine, one part red wine, one part brandy, and one part tropical fruit juice. It is my favorite fictional Christmas story, and my favorite version is the animated short film directed by Richard Williams in 1971 with Alistair Sim voicing Ebenezer Scrooge. What’s yours?

Give the Light of Love this Christmas

When you read this quote, who do you think of? The poor? The disenfranchised? The lonely? Those are all good answers. However, sometimes, in the hubbub of our lives, we forget to give the light of love to those under our own roofs. So, hug your husband, text your wife an “I love you” message, tell your kids you love them, call your Mom and/or your Dad. Sometimes it is those we think should know the most that we love them who wonder if we do. Don’t let them wonder.

National Cupcake Day
