Hosted by Mark "The Madman" Koopmans, Morgan "Whammy" Shamy, and David "The Kingpin" King, and myself (no link necessary). The BlogFest runs from December 10 - 12.
This is our way of saying thanks to Alex J. Cavanaugh. We’re also doing a Comedy Central Roast for Alex, hosted by Joan Rivers. So, her...

I Miss You Blogfest

[image error] Thanks to Alex Cavanaugh for yet another awesome and fun Blogfest!
I look back to when I started blogging in early 2009 and there was one person who consistently encouraged me to be better at everything writing-related. And this included blogging.
This person is Marvin Wilson, who turned out to become my editor when I re-wrote Breakthrough, then went on to write Opening. Marvin is also editing Escalation. Does anyone here know or remember Marvin Wilson?
[image error] Marvin is a multi-talented guy. He’s an...

Bits and Pieces

[image error] First: This is my 200th post on this new blog site. Counting my previous blog I had to abandon, this is my 644th post. Thank you one and all for helping make this possible! But I’ll wait until the end of the month to celebrate with the rollout of … oh, wait. I can’t announce it yet.
New W4WS Logo: Much thanks to Carrie Butler for our new W4WS Logo. Sweet! I really like it. Remember, Thursday December 6th we will help promote Nancy Thompson and her recent release The Mistaken. And just because...

New Book Release, A Jousting Tournament, W4WS, and Teaser Two Alerts

[image error] A New Adult Urban Fantasy: The Renaissance of Hetty Locklear is the first book in a new series. And it’s now out!

Graduation from community college isn’t the magic elixir Hetty Locklear counts on for becoming an adult. Her parents, who work the Renaissance fair circuit, insist she spend part of the summer with them. Hetty doubts pretending to live in the Middle Ages will help her find her way.
To make it worse, an entity haunts her at her dead-end job, warning her of a dangerous man she...

ISWG, Writers4Writers, and More

Rolling out something new to the public can be challenging, fun, and scary. You wonder will this be accepted? Will it be rejected? Or worse, what if no one notices?
Writers4Writers Group (see previous blog) I knew I needed help and Mary Pax, C.M. Brown, and Christine Raines came to the rescue. These women are amazing and I know together we will make this monthly event a smashing success!

The Third Annual Children’s and MG Series also came together nicely due to an amazing response by some incr...

The Return of the Weekend Follies (For Better or Worse)

Hi everyone. I thought I would bring back the Weekend Follies for at least one more weekend before 2012 ends. I found this incredibly stupid spoof of Heroes, one of my favorite shows of all time, on YouTube. Thought I would share it with you.
This post actually has some meaning as we can try to do something serious and produce a smashing success such as Heroes, or try to do a spoof as in Zeroes. Heroes or Zeroes. Or maybe try for something in the middle. Regardless, as writers we strive...
