Guest Patricia Stoltey: Writers Need Writer Organizations

[image error] Today we welcome author, blogger, and speaker Patricia Stoltey. Patricia was one of the first people to comment on my blog posts way back in the day. Thanks Patricia for stopping by sharing with us your story!
Why I, a Writer with Loner Tendencies, Join (and Love) Writers’ Organizations by Patricia Stoltey

Weekend Follies and Lots More!

[image error] Wow! Lots going on today. Let’s get busy!
Small Things: I’m thankful for watching my kids make breakthroughs in studying. “I don’t get it.” Ugh! If I hear that phrase one more time. But I will.

However, the day comes when they shrug me off and say, “I can do this myself.” Will they remember Mom and Dad’s hard work, sacrifice, nagging, and persarverence to bring them to this point. Probably. When they have kids and go through the same thing. [image error]

Weekend Follies

Example Of Successful Promotion: Here is an example of a writer using the Free Kindle Books promotion with amazing results. Morgan Mandel from my Yahoo! BBT Writers Group and her book Girl Of My Dreams went viral during the promotion last weekend, resulting in 16,465 downloads in the US, 3024 in the UK, 388 in Germany and 84 in Canada, with lesser amounts in other countries.
At one point, Girl Of My Dreams reached #13 in Free Kindle Books! At 99 cents now, it's still doing well after the free...

We can do a practice GR Book Recommendation right now. Log into your GR Page, then type in L. Diane Wolfe’s recent release How to Publish and Promote Your Book Now! (or any other book of your choosing) into the search box at the top o...

The Weekend Follies

Small Things: I love this weekly event, even though I forgot who is sponsoring it. It’s my first time participating. I’m thankful first and foremost for the Good Lord Above that he got me to this point. Its a crazy world out there and I’m thankful I made it this far and can do what I love most: write books and blog.
