Well, I'm back.
I've been away from this blog for a while due to the fact that I had two major conventions in July in the last two weeks, Mythcon 41 and Infinitus 2010. I'm glad I kept a journal during both of these amazing conferences, because I want to remember all of the interesting people I met and all of the wonderful presentations that I heard in the last two weeks. New Deathly Hallows Footage and Fun Moments on the Set
There is a different version of the Deathly Hallows trailer that was released today with the Harry Potter Lego Years 1-4 video game. It contains additional footage that was not in the much-discussed trailer on the official Warner Brothers Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows website.
The video game also included an entertaining video of bloopers and funny moments on the set.

Deathly Hallows Theatrical Trailer
Here's the theatrical trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts One and Two!
Some things that I noticed after watching this preview of the "Motion Picture Event of a Generation" many times this evening are:
Narcissa and Lucius are visible among the Death Eaters at the beginning of the trailer.
Harry closes his eyes exactly just before Voldemort hits him with the Death Curse.
Ron and Hermione are holding hands with fingers entwined when Ron is casting a spell at some unseen Death...

The Mythopoeic Society will be celebrating their 41st annual conference at the Crowne Plaza Suites Hotel in Dallas, Texas from July 9-12, 2010. I am delighted to announce that I will be attending this conference for the first time, and I will be presenting a paper that I wrote entitled "The Lord of the Horcruxes: The Immortal Soul and the Eternal War Between Good and Evil in the Fiction of J. R. R. Tolkien and J. K. Rowling" at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9. Here is an excerpt from my paper:
