I've mentioned Tal Ronnen and his amazing Gardein products before and if you haven't tried any of them by now please do!  They are so delicious.  There is this recipe for Gardein "Chicken" Scaloppini with Shiitake Sake Sauce Braised Pea Shoots and Crispy Udon Noodle Cakes on his website.  It looks so delicious!  He made a video of himself preparing this dish take a look!

I just found out about Bryant Terry a chef who makes vegan soul food! Sounds yummy!  He just came out with a new book called Vegan Soul Kitchen... All of his recipes use fresh whole healthy ingredients and cooking techniques that use local sustainably grown food.  He reinterprets popular dishes from African and Caribbean countries all without animal products. Love that!

bubble baths!

I love taking baths! I only recently got into them. Before I would take the occasional bath…but now I'm taking one almost every night.  Now here is my thinking…the reason that I am loving them is because it really puts me to bed.  It's a way to end my day and warm my body energetically and I end up sleeping more soundly.  Plus its just super fun to roll around in the bath like a baby!

My issue is the amount of water that baths take.  However I am a professional small-amount-of-water bath take...

pete the moose update!

A couple months ago I wrote about Pete a moose who had been attacked by dogs as a baby separated from his mother and was then saved by David Lawrence a farmer.  The story was so sad because the State of Vermont has been trying to take Pete away from David... Because it's illegal to possess wildlife in Vermont without a permit.

I was so touched by this story I have been following Pete's plight.  Well Pete's supporters have been fighting to keep him safe!  Pete got a lawyer and there are over 5...

This past Sunday Christopher was in town and we made a great meal to eat while he watched the Super Bowl!  I came home from doing my play in the afternoon and first Christopher made me a quick snack using all leftovers!  It was this delicious stir-fry that he added peas to... a note from my husband - "if you've got rice and frozen peas then you can take over the world!  Anything will taste great once you have peas cause peas rock!".  Here is what he made me:
