Everyone in Los Angeles is so obsessed with keeping their cars sparkling clean!  I like a clean car too but car washes use soooo much water and washing your car so often can become incredibly wasteful.  

According to the LA Times washing your car at home can use up to 80-140 gallons of water while using a commercial car wash uses just 20-45 gallons.  So if you must wash your car at home it's probably a good idea to purchase one of those squeeze nozzle grips that regulates the flow of water ...

a sad sad day at seaworld

I'm sure that by now most of you have heard about the SeaWorld trainer who was drowned by a Killer Whale a few weeks ago. Dawn Brancheau was drowned by the whale after a show at SeaWorld in Orlando Florida.  She was apparently standing by the 35 foot deep tank at Shamu Stadium.  The whale jumped up grabbed her by the waist and inevitably drowned her.  This is so sad for this woman and her family.

I am very against SeaWorld and all other zoos and animal parks that charge people money to keep ...

FLOW... a must watch!

There is a great documentary called FLOW that I want to share with you all.  FLOW's focus is the world water crisis and the privatization of the world's water supply. 

Not really news to anyone but the world's water supply is quickly diminishing... and this is scary! This is evident in a number of ways including when you're told you can only water your lawn during certain times.  But beyond that do you ever think about where your water comes from or how much water you're actual...

world water day!!

World Water Day is today March 22nd!  This day has been celebrated since 1993 when it was born in the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development. 

Every year there is a different theme for this day and according to the website this year's focus is on raising awareness of water quality under the theme 'Clean Water for a Healthy World'.  There are many events happening all around the world that incorporate water as a theme and you can check them out HERE.
