Getting the ducks in a row.
It’s been over a YEAR since I last did a State of the Writer. (One year and one week. Which means it’s been one year and one week since my husband’s car accident. Wow. Time flies.)

Sapphires and Gold
From Dusk ’til Dawn
The Willow Sword
Sea Prince (To be written with Danielle Jones)
Tales from the Arena
Wanderer’s Moon (next book in the Midnight Moon series. Not to be done until we sell Nomad’s Moon)

Playing for Keeps is now live!
I finally finished redoing all the formatting that I somehow managed to strip out when I was getting the file ready. So here is book two of Tales from the Arena, now live on Smashwords and All Romance books. Amazon will be along presently.

Oops.
Discovered that converting the files to Smashwords format stripped some of the formatting, and I didn’t notice. Just uploaded the corrected file for Opening Gambit, and am reading through Playing for Keeps to fix things there. If you bought a copy of Opening Gambit (I know someone did!), please go and get the updated copy?

Opening Gambit is now available for sale!
Smashwords JUST went live, and should be propagating down to other venues soon. Amazon will be up later. And I’ll see about an actual paper version, too. Since, you know, I can.

Tales from the Arena: Opening Gambit
Okay. Here’s a blurb. What do you think?
The Ishkarin were created to fight for Tyese. They are the perfect predators, the perfect soldiers, the perfect sadists. But what happens when the war is over? In the Arena, the Ishkarin find an outlet to their natural instincts. Populated by the Collared, the sexual submissives who live to kneel before the predators, the Arena guarantees that the Ishkarin will not turn on the people they are sworn to protect.
On the eve of his appointment as second-in-c...
Cover art!!!
Tonight I received the cover art for the two books that I’ll be self-publishing. The artist is Carey Abbott, and BOY, am I happy I tripped over her site!
Gorgeous covers! Now, I just need to write the blurbs.

So… here’s something new.
New and interesting and something I never thought I would say.
I’m going to be self-publishing Tales from the Arena.
If I got the formatting done properly, I’ll get them uploaded tomorrow. If I haven’t done the formatting properly, then we’re looking at Monday or so. The Smashwords guide to formatting an ebook is very good… if you’re using Word.
I’m not using Word. I think that may very well be something I splurge on next year, though. Between not being able to do rtf format in Libreoffice witho...

A certain movie…
So… here’s a suggestion. Go. Go see the movie. Enjoy it. (Let me know how it is. I’m not interested in going. I’m waiting for Thor and the next Hobbit movie.)
Then… donate the cost of your ticket toFCKH8, orIt Gets Better, or some other QUILTBAG organization.
AND do it in HIS name.
If enough people do it, then his head just might...
