ch-ch-changes….
I’m writing this from my office, while my kid sits behind me watching Charlie and Lola. We’ve decamped over here because the lower level of our house is getting TOTALLY repainted. This after meeting several times with our decorators, gathering about 20 paint samples on foam boards, and some spirited discussion (aka arguments) about how dark we want our darker accent wall to be. 1. I have this habit of being REALLY late on any trend. It’s like my own trend. Anyway, right now, with the season having already finished, I’m obsessed with the show GIRLS on HBO. 1. As I write this, my house is in total chaos around me. The drywallers were here yesterday, cutting big holes in the ceiling for our new fixtures, and today our electrician is hauling in ladders and boxes of lights to be installed. The Friday Five!
1. Okay, so this week has been a total blur. And now, somehow, it is June. WHAT? Also, we are fast winding down on my 41st year. For whatever reason, 42 seems MUCH older. Of course, it does not help to have my babysitter, who just turned 21, sighing dramatically and saying, “I’m SO OLD.” Puh-leeze. But age is nothing but a number. Even if mine is a lot bigger than hers.
