I built a bridge to get over it, but then I set it on fire.
The level of seething hatred I still harbour for my old job worries me sometimes. Like, I know it's pointless to hold onto, and I can accept that it's not healthy, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to scream and scream and scream at the people I used to work for. Sometimes I still have dreams where I DO.
Can you have PTSD from an office job? Because I think I might.

Con.txt and Balticon
I will be attending two conventions in the next month!
First, I'll be at Balticon, in Baltimore, MD, on Memorial Day weekend. I'll be attending with my writing partner, as one half of Shea Meier. (We will be tied together at the shoelaces all weekend.)
Con.txt in Silver Spring Maryland, where I'll be working the Dreamspinner Press booth, when I am not camped out yapping about White Collar OT3's, Leverage OT3's, and Psych... well, just Psych. Drop by, say hello, pick up some awesome books! (...

ZOOMZOOMZOOMCRASH!
I have discovered the perfect frappucino. It's an extra coffee caramel frappe, with chocolate chips.
It is pure caffeinated bliss of the highest order, even worth walking in the rain to go get. It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow, and I don't care. It'll be me, my tall friend C, and my Umbrella Academy parasol, strolling along the GW campus to obtain this frozen confection of the gods. And it will be GOOD.
Also, it's possible that I'm within about 10,000 words of finishing a novel. ...

Sooo tired.
I've just learned that Temperance Brennan is only supposed to be 3 years older than me. She's also (barring the fictional part) supposed to be a bestselling author, have a PhD, and be the top expert in her field.
Where exactly did I go wrong with my life?

Hello, hello!
So, obviously, I haven't been updating here. Rather than bore you with the minutiae of days past, I think I'll just jump right back in and bore you with the minutiae of today!
I'm currently about 75% through our latest project, a sci-fi/space opera/caper novel. It's clocking in around 55,000 words at the moment, but we still need to write at least another 4-5 crucial scenes. I'm writing it with my partner (we publish together as Shea Meier), and we're not quite sure how we're going to give ...

Wonder no more!

Sindustry Review at Dear Author
Sindustry: Volume 1 was reviewed at Dear Author today! Fin de Siecle received an A- rating, the highest in the book! (Along with
lenorejblack
's Fun and Games, which is my personal favourite.)

Back to the stars!
We just got the nicest rejection letter ever from an editor. The bad news was that she didn't want our story for her space opera anthology. The good news was that she asked us to expand it into a novel!
There will be little to NO sleep tonight, I can guarantee you that!
